Miyazaki Prefecture (宮崎県, Miyazaki-ken) is a prefecture of Japan located on the island of Kyushu. The capital is the city of Miyazaki.
Historically, after the Meiji Restoration, Hyūga Province was renamed Miyazaki Prefecture.
Miyazaki Prefecture is located on the eastern coast of the island of Kyushu, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the south and east, Ōita Prefecture to the north, and Kumamoto and Kagoshima Prefectures to the west. It is one of only two locations on Earth where the fungus Chorioactis geaster is found. Miyazaki is the home of the hyuganatsu fruit.
As of April 1, 2012, 12% of the total land area of the prefecture was designated as Natural Parks, namely the Kirishima-Yaku National Park; Kyūshū Chūō Sanchi, Nichinan Kaigan, Nippō Kaigan, and Sobo-Katamuki Quasi-National Parks; and Mochio-Sekinoo, Osuzu, Saitobaru-Sugiyasukyō, Sobo Katamuki, Wanitsuka, and Yatake Kōgen Prefectural Natural Parks.
Nine cities are located in Miyazaki Prefecture:

Japan (i/dʒəˈpæn/; Japanese: 日本 Nippon [nip̚põ̞ɴ] or Nihon [nihõ̞ɴ]; formally 日本国
Nippon-koku or Nihon-koku, "State of Japan") is an island country in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. The kanji that make up Japan's name mean "sun origin", and Japan is often called the "Land of the Rising Sun".
Japan is a stratovolcanic archipelago of 6,852 islands. The four largest are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku, which make up about ninety-seven percent of Japan's land area. Japan's population of 126 million is the world's tenth largest. Approximately 9.1 million people live in Tokyo, the capital city of Japan, which is the sixth largest city proper in the OECD. The Greater Tokyo Area, which includes Tokyo and several surrounding prefectures, is the world's largest metropolitan area with over 35 million residents and the world's largest urban agglomeration economy.

We made it to Miyazaki thanks to https://www.odigo.travel ! More travel videos on Odigo: https://goo.gl/IETw90 Miyazaki is easily the most beautiful prefecture we've been to so far, and it didn't make it in this video but it's also the prefecture that founded chicken nanban, THE BEST JAPANESE FOOD DISH EVER. Miyazaki is said to produce the best chicken in Japan (which my tastebuds can confirm) because their chickens are free-ranging and healthy. Chicken nanban in Miyazaki is a 10000% ABSOLUTE MUST if you can eat chicken. The places we went in this video are Takachiho Gorge, Aya Teruha suspension bridge, and Udo Jingu. There's so much nature to explore, and because Miyazaki is so far out of the way there aren't as many tourists here as there are in most places in Honshu so you can still g...

Tucked away in the mountains of the very beautiful Aya Town in Kyushu’s Miyazaki Prefecture you will find the famous Teruha Suspension Bridge (照葉大吊橋). Meant to be the world’s longest suspension bridge devoted only to pedestrian traffic when it was built in 1984. Aya Town is also famous for it’s castle and craft village, as well as rather good home grown wine. The Teruha bridge is 250m long and 142m tall at it’s highest point above Honjougawa river, and doesn’t rock quite as much as you’d imagine. On the other side of the bridge lies the entrance to a national park aiming to preserve the natural forests of Kyushu, as they looked before the introduction of tree farming after the second world war. Udo Shrine (鵜戸神宮, Udo Jingū), located on the Nichinan Coast south of Miyazaki City, is dedicat...

Check this URL for more information about Aya! 宮崎県・綾町とのコラボ動画です。 綾町の詳しい情報は↓をチェックして下さい。 http://www.town.aya.miyazaki.jp/ayatown/ Due to a temporary work contract, Kit, Lon and I have relocated to the Japanese countryside, in a village called "Aya", in Miyazaki Prefecture. When I was asked if I would go to Aya for work, I was a little nervous----there wasn't a lot of information about it online, I don't have a car, it's inaccessible by train, there's no inter-city public transport, no malls, no supermarkets, and only one convenience store, and the town shuts it's lights off after sundown (6pm) and becomes pitch black. After becoming so used to the conveniences of a big city, can I really survive in a small tight-knit community that forgoes all those things? I guess we'll find out! 〜*☆ S...

I was in Japan in March - April and in general the weather was cool. That all changed in "tropical" Miyazaki. What a delight. Join me as I spend a day in this delightful city. Miyazaki is the capital city of Miyazaki Prefecture on the island of Kyushu. Located on the coast and crossed by several rivers, Miyazaki City enjoys scenic views of both ocean and nearby, verdant mountains. A popular resort destination for mostly Japanese tourists. The city has an estimated population of 367,000.
