Grief is a multifaceted response to loss, particularly to the loss of someone or something that has died, to which a bond or affection was formed. Although conventionally focused on the emotional response to loss, it also has physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, and philosophical dimensions. While the terms are often used interchangeably, bereavement refers to the state of loss, and grief is the reaction to loss.
Grief is a natural response to loss. It is the emotional suffering one feels when something or someone the individual loves is taken away. Grief is also a reaction to any loss. The grief associated with death is familiar to most people, but individuals grieve in connection with a variety of losses throughout their lives, such as unemployment, ill health or the end of a relationship. Loss can be categorized as either physical or abstract, the physical loss being related to something that the individual can touch or measure, such as losing a spouse through death, while other types of loss are abstract, and relate to aspects of a person’s social interactions.

Michael "Mike" Shaw (May 9, 1957 – September 11, 2010) was a professional wrestler who was best known for his stint in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as Norman the Lunatic, and as Bastion Booger in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
Mike Shaw started wrestling in 1981 in Vancouver's NWA All-Star Wrestling using the ring name Klondike Mike. In 1982, Shaw began wrestling under his real name for Stu Hart's Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, Alberta. In 1984, he connected with wrestler The Great Gama "Singh" and was bestowed the ring name of Makhan Singh (which translates to "Butter Lion" in Punjabi), forming the stable "Karachi Vice" with Gama and Gary Allbright as Vokhan Singh and managed by Judah Rosenbloom and following the rebirth of Stampede Wrestling in 1985, by Abu Wizal and feuded with the likes of Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Bret Hart, and Chris Benoit.
Stampede Wrestling closed in December 1989 and just prior to the closure, he received the opportunity to join World Championship Wrestling as Norman the Lunatic. He was managed by Theodore Long, who led him around with a giant key. This key was symbolic of Long's potential to recommit Norman to the insane asylum he came from if he did not follow orders. Norman carried a teddy bear with him. Norman eventually broke away from Long, and turned face (being renamed Norman the Maniac). He feuded with Kevin Sullivan, and even received title shots against NWA World champion Ric Flair. He later adopted a trucker gimmick ("Trucker Norm"), ostensibly in memory of his late father, a long-haul truck driver. Shaw then wrestled in Memphis' USWA as Jed Grundy.

Robbie talks movingly about the experience of grief, how it changes our perception of the world and how we can all support those who are grieving. According to Mike Shaw “Grief Happens,” but gratitude is your foundation for healing. It’s all about perspective. Your lows give you a greater ability to appreciate new highs. Trust that you will heal. You CAN live a FULL life after grief. Mike shows you how gratitude and grieving are closely linked. He goes as far as saying that grief reveals gifts, he’s grateful for its validation, and for the balance it brings to your life. Grief Happens – but YOU can turn the tables; healing is possible. Psychologist, writer and innovator, Geoff Warburton has spent the last 25 years studying love and loss. Geoff challenges conventional apathy about grief and loss by offering an approach that evokes curiosity, openness and compassion. His approach synthesises Eastern wisdom traditions, in-depth psychology and common sense. The emphasis of his message is towards thriving after loss -- and not merely surviving. He presents a perspective that challenges Western thought by saying there is no 'right' way to grieve and advocating that grief can be 'the ride of your life'. Working from both his personal and professional experiences of bereavement, he goes so far as to say that loss through bereavement can become an adventure to be had, rather than a problem to be solved. In the spirit of ideas wo...
Greetings from me to all my friends
to my girlfriend and my parents
I'm leaving this town
I can't forget to say goodbye
I can't forget the laughs and cries
The moments I spent
That's nothing to weep about
The rain's starting to pour down
Here the time's slipping away
I don't pretend I'm ok
Grief is preying on my mind
So let me stay (let me stay)
By myself
Grief is preying on my mind
I'm going away (going away)
By myself
Maybe things are gonna change
But my memories won't get last
Like leaves in the wind
I don't need your sympathy
This bitter world owes me a new life
This one's burned with me
Fuck this place that's killing me
My pillow drown in my tears
Dark angels dungle round me
Today's my expiration date
Grief is preying on my mind
So let me stay (let me stay)
By myself
Grief is preying on my mind
I'm going away (going away)
