Maureen Reillette "Rebbie" Brown (née Jackson; born May 29, 1950) is an American singer professionally known as Rebbie Jackson /ˈriːbi ˈdʒæksən/. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, she is the eldest child of the Jackson family of musicians. She first performed on stage with her siblings during shows in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in 1974, before subsequently appearing in the television series The Jacksons. Her sister La Toya was born on Jackson's 6th birthday. At age 34, Jackson released her debut album Centipede (1984). The album featured songs written by Smokey Robinson, Prince, and Jackson's younger brother Michael, whose contribution (the title track "Centipede") became Rebbie's most successful single release. By the end of the 1980s, the singer had released two more albums in quick succession: Reaction (1986) and R U Tuff Enuff (1988).
Following a 10-year hiatus in her musical career, Jackson returned with the 1998 album Yours Faithfully. The production of the album, her last to date, was a collaboration with artists and producers such as Men of Vizion's Spanky Williams, Keith Thomas, and Eliot Kennedy. It also featured contributions from her children. In 2011, Rebbie embarked on the "Pick Up the Phone Tour," which is dedicated to teens who have committed suicide all over the U.S.
The Jackson family is an American family of singers who originated in Gary, Indiana. Performing as members of The Jackson 5 and as solo artists, the children of Joseph Walter and Katherine Esther Jackson were very successful in the field of popular music from the late 1960s onwards. As a group, the eldest sons Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, Randy and Michael, made the family's reputation, facilitating the subsequent success of siblings Rebbie, La Toya, and Janet. The Jackson 5 became known as the "First Family of Soul" (a title first held by the Five Stairsteps). The continued success of Michael and Janet's careers as solo artists led the Jacksons to become known as the "Royal Family of Pop". All nine of the Jackson siblings have gold records to their credits with La Toya holding the distinction of being the first Jackson sister to attain one (awarded by France's SNEP for "Reggae Night", a song she co-wrote for Jimmy Cliff).
Members of the Jackson family have been the subject of heavily publicized controversies and legal imbroglios, most notably allegations of child abuse against Michael in 1993, his criminal trial in 2005, and Janet's controversial Super Bowl halftime performance in 2004. Some Jackson siblings have, at various times, publicly criticized one another and alleged abuse at the hands of their father.
Janet Damita Jo Jackson (born May 16, 1966) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. Known for a series of sonically innovative, socially conscious and sexually provocative records, as well as elaborate stage shows, television and film roles, she has been a prominent figure in popular culture for over 30 years. The youngest child of the Jackson family, she began her career with the variety television series The Jacksons in 1976 and went on to appear in other television shows throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, including Good Times and Fame.
After signing a recording contract with A&M Records arranged by her father and manager Joseph Jackson in 1982, she became a pop icon following the release of her third studio album Control (1986). Her collaborations with record producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis incorporated elements of rhythm and blues, funk, disco, rap, and industrial beats, which led to crossover success in popular music. In addition to receiving recognition for the innovation in her records, choreography, music videos, and prominence on radio airplay and MTV, she was acknowledged as a role model for her socially conscious lyrics.

This interview was aired in 1993 soon after Michael's interview with Oprah was broadcast. In it the Jackson family discuss Michaels plastic surgery & changing skin color, Jermaines controversial song 'word to the badd' and La Toya's estrangement from the family (amonst other things). This interview includes the entire Jackson family including Joseph, Katherine, Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Randy. La Toya, Marlon, Michael and Janet are not interviewed but they are the topic of discussion. Includes excerpts from Black and White, Gone to soon and the 93 grammy awards.
Rebbie Jackson & Tito Jackson interview from 1993. They are promoting the upcoming Jackson Family Honors. I found this interview on one of my old VHS video tapes so the quality isn't that great. Hope you can hear most of it. I tried to amp up the sound with my Pinnacle computer software.
Rebbie Jackson Today Show Interview and Unseen Plans for film from MJ. Does she know something about the hoax?
All I can see is what I've fried
And all the world in your black eye
I'll run in circles all the time
I'll gather up all that is mine
Into the room inside my head
The walls are black, the roof is red
And fiery like a volcano, I wear it like a massive halo
This pretty speckled length of twine
That's wrapped around your neck is mine
A ruby rose, stiffed and froze is what I give to you
I'll run in circles all the time
I'll gather up all that is mine
Into the room inside my head
The walls are black, the roof is red
If I could taste your salty head
And pick your the dead hair from my eyes
An' let you smell the sweet despise
Those peaks and trusts guts for a valley
Are a dead scene in my back alley
How tall and wide you have to get?
How big and dark and badly lit?
And if I said I did, would you believe me
And I showed you gold
Would you see through me
And if tomorrow didn't come
Oh would you?
I'll run in circles all the time
I'll gather up all that is mine
Into the room inside my head
The walls are black, the roof is red
I'll run in circles all the time
I'll gather up all that is mine
Into the room inside my head
The walls are black, the roof is red
I'll run in circles all the time
I'll gather up all that is mine
