Maybe (Emma Bunton song)

"Maybe" is a song recorded by English singer Emma Bunton for her second studio album, Free Me (2004). It was written by Bunton herself and Yak Bondy and produced by Mike Peden, whilst it was released as the second single from the album on 13 October 2003, by Polydor Records. It was received to moderate success on different record charts, and it entered the top forty on the majority of which it appeared on. The song contains lounge/bossa influences, and the music video was inspired by the style of Sweet Charity's "Rich Man's Frug". Bunton performed an edit of the song as her solo performance on the Return of the Spice Girls tour.

Production

The unusual inspiration behind the song was a soundtrack album of 70s German porn music; Bunton and her collaborators "found some ideas out of that". She described the process as "mad" and "hilarious", while noting the style of the finished song is reminiscent of its origins.

Music video

In the summer of 2003, a music video for "Maybe" was released. Directed by Harvey & Carolyn, the video is strongly inspired by the Rich Man's Frug scene from film Sweet Charity. Bunton began conceptualising the music video while she was in the process of writing; her inspiration was the "very sexy" stage musical Chicago. She chose to incorporate Bob Fosse's style of dancing (used in that musical) to create a "slick" and "different" work.

Disciplined Breakdown

Disciplined Breakdown is the third studio album by American post-grunge band Collective Soul. It was first released on March 11, 1997. The album was recorded during a difficult time in the band's career, when they were going through a long lawsuit with their former management, and they also recorded the album in a cabin-like studio due to lack of money.

Despite not being as successful as their past albums, Disciplined Breakdown earned Collective Soul a million-selling album (charting at #16), and produced a couple of hits, in the form of "Precious Declaration" (#1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks for four weeks) and "Listen" (#1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks for five weeks), which also charted on the Billboard Hot 100, at #65 and #72, respectively.

Summers (owarai)

Summers (さまぁ〜ず) are a Japanese comedy duo under Horipro Inc., a large talent management company in Tokyo. Frequent guests on many Japanese variety and quiz shows, they are probably most famous as guests on the former late night conte show Uchimura Produce (Uchi-P) and for their regular appearances on Lincoln. Along with Teruyoshi Uchimura and the rest of the show's former guests, they were two members of the musical comedy group NO PLAN, which was disbanded in 2006.

Otake and Mimura

The group consists of Kazuki Ōtake (大竹一樹), born December 8, 1967, and Masakazu Mimura (三村マサカズ), born June 8, 1967. Both comedians were born in Sumida, Tokyo.

Usually functioning as the boke, Ōtake is famous for his ability to spontaneously spurt out meaningless, yet funny lines, and for his crude jokes (shimoneta). His amazing ability to entertain audiences with strange, nonsensical gags was dubbed "Ōtake World" on Uchi-P. He was told many times that he looked like his partner Mimura, and decided to wear glasses in order to distinguish himself. He does not, however, normally wear glasses. He enjoys wearing short sleeves over long sleeved T-shirts, and has been given the title "King of Sexual Harassment".

The Way We Were (TV series)

The Way We Were (Chinese: 16個夏天) also known as 16 Summers is a 2014 Taiwanese romance drama produced by Ruby Lin and Lisa Tan (Lin's agent) and directed by Fu-Hsiang Hsu (許富翔). It stars Lin, Weber Yang (楊一展), Ann Hsu, Melvin Sia and Jason Tsou (鄒承恩) as five friends who met in college in late-1990s Taipei. The series narrates a love and friendship story that spans 16 years, from the summer of 1998 to 2014. It is set against major events that occurred in Taiwan during the 16 summers, such as the 729 blackout, 921 earthquake, SARS and the Financial crisis of 2007–08.

According to online statistics collected by the website dailyview.tw, it was the most popular Taiwanese idol dramas in 2014. Another website 7headlines.com ranked it the second most popular Taiwanese drama of 2014, after In A Good Way (which began broadcasting in 2013 and was therefore not included in dailyview.tw's ranking). Google ranked it the second most-searched TV series in Taiwan in 2014, after the Korean drama Empress Ki.
