Gameranx know how frustrating game microtransactions can be. That's why we're covering the dumbest microtransactions here at Gameranx. Microtransactions HAVE GOTTEN RIDICULOUS. Microtransactions in video games are just disappointing, it's getting so tired. This is about as close to the top 10 microtransactions as you can get, except I hate microtransactions. It's actually the worst microtransactions. Pay to play, p2p, p2w, pay to win, whatever you want to call it. It's not "free to play," it's "fee to play." The Deus Ex microtransactions are particularly ridiculous. A game pay to win shouldn't be. A must watch gaming top 10 list for all fans of video games and gaming industry observers. Also a good microtransactions rant. More people need to talk about microtransactions and dlc. This top 10 gaming isn't far from boogie2988 microtransactions video. The Jimquisition microtransactions videos are great too. But we did some serious coverage on this topic and will be doing more ongoing. Thanks for watching!

Microtransaction
Microtransaction is a business model where users can purchase virtual goods via micropayments. Microtransactions are often used in free-to-play games to provide a revenue source for the developers. While microtransactions are a staple of the mobile app market, they are also available on traditional computer platforms such as Valve's Steam platform.
Free-to-play games that include a microtransaction model are sometimes referred to as "freemium". "Pay-to-win" is sometimes used as a derogatory term to refer to games where paying for in-game items can give the player an advantage over other players, particularly if the items cannot be obtained by free means. The objective with a free-to-play microtransaction model is to get more players into the game and provide desirable items or features that players can purchase if they are interested in them - it is hoped that in the long term the profits from a microtransaction system will outweigh the profits from a one-time-purchase game.

The Deus Ex microtransactions are particularly ridiculous. A game pay to win shouldn't be. A must watch gaming top 10 list for all fans of video games and gaming industry observers. Also a good microtransactions rant. More people need to talk about microtransactions and dlc. This top 10 gaming isn't far from boogie2988 microtransactions video. The Jimquisition microtransactions videos are great too. But we did some serious coverage on this topic and will be doing more ongoing. Thanks for watching!

Take Two, and all of its subsidiaries and labels – including 2K Games and Rockstar – have been unusually good about not exploiting their users with DLC or microtransactions. While other AAA publishers have moved towards selling content piecemeal, often even holding it hostage behind RNG that you have to pay for, Take Two games have fair DLC, and minimal microtransactions- even something like GTA ... Go figure. ....
