Wallachia or Walachia (Romanian: Țara Românească pronounced [ˈt͡sara romɨˈne̯askə] or Valahia pronounced [vaˈlahi.a]; archaic: Țeara Rumânească, Cyrillic: Цѣра Румѫнѣскъ / Цѣра Рȣмѫнѣскъ / Землѧ Ѹгровлахїиска, Old East Slavic: Земля Угровлахийская, Угровлашская Земля, Влашская Земля, Власское, Latin: Transalpina, Valachia) is a historical and geographical region of Romania. It is situated north of the Danube and south of the Southern Carpathians. Wallachia is traditionally divided into two sections, Muntenia (Greater Wallachia) and Oltenia (Lesser Wallachia). Wallachia as a whole is sometimes referred to as Muntenia through identification with the larger of the two traditional sections.
Wallachia was founded as a principality in the early 14th century by Basarab I, after a rebellion against Charles I of Hungary, although the first mention of the territory of Wallachia west of the river Olt dates to a charter given to the voivode Seneslau in 1246 by Béla IV of Hungary. In 1417, Wallachia accepted the suzerainty of the Ottoman Empire; this lasted until the 19th century, albeit with brief periods of Russian occupation between 1768 and 1854. In 1859, Wallachia united with Moldavia to form the United Principalities, which adopted the name Romania in 1866 and officially became the Kingdom of Romania in 1881. Later, in 1918, Transylvania was ceded by the Treaty of Trianon from Hungary to the Kingdom of Romania, forming the modern Romanian state.
Costi Ioniţă Known mononymously as Costi (born 14 January 1978) is a Romanian singer, songwriter, and record producer, regarded as one of the most celebrated ethnic Romanian vocalist of muzică orientală (manele).
Born in Constanţa, he began his musical career by singing Romanian traditional music. He however achieved fame as a member of the pop boy band Valahia, launching several hits. In 1999 he started to experiment with manele, a composite Balkanic musical style, and in 2000 he collaborated with acclaimed manele singer Adrian Minune on Of, viaţa mea ("Oh, my life"), one of the first mainstream successes of the genre in Romania. Following Valahia's dissolution in 2002, he started a solo career, concentrating on manele. In this period he collaborated with several well known manele singers. His success is considered unusual, as he is one of the few ethnic Romanian in a genre perceived as Gipsy. Also, unlike his Gipsy counterparts, Costi Ioniţă does not use a nickname. Despite his success in manele, he also experimented with other musical styles, such as rock, dance or opera, avoiding to be identified with manele or to be too closely associated with the Romani culture.

With howling winds we ascended the many steps leading up to the infamous Bran Castle. The castle associated with Bram Stoker's Dracula Castle is a national landmark and monument in Transylvania, Romania (Romanian: Castelul Bran; Hungarian: Törcsvár; German: Törzburg). We found the experience fascinating as most areas of the castle were open for tourists to explore including some dimly lit staircases. After checking out the castle we headed back down to briefly check out a market selling all kinds of trinkets and restaurant featuring hearty Romanian cuisine. Overall, if you're based in Brasov this makes for a fantastic 'spooky' day trip ;) GEAR WE USE Olympus OM-D E-M5 II: http://amzn.to/1OchS7t Canon G7X: http://amzn.to/1YdjsYX Olympus 14-150mm II Lens: http://amzn.to/1Y79zeM Rode Video...

I apologize in advance for the delayed release of this episode. My college semester has gotten very, very busy as finals begin this coming week. But! In return, as a special gift, I decided to work on an episode pertaining to one particular historical figure I've been waiting to do a video on, the notorious "vampire" king of Wallachia, Vlad III Dracula! I get the feeling that Fate will soon join Touhou as the most-discussed series on this channel, especially with the recent news about Fate/Grand Order finally being released in the West! ... Ah, but if only Vlad got to be in in Fate/Extella. That would have been great. Many thanks to my friend Cammy for voicing the quote by Sultan Mehmed II. Why not follow him on Twitter? https://twitter.com/CammyBlackRose === If you like what you saw, o...

To be back again, what a feeling
Is it real or am I just dreaming
The time is right, another point in time
We`re step now over the line
just see... ...to rise..
Darkness comes to me, moonlight above – we are back again
Our heart was lost, wherever we were
Hundred tears are falling, raining over me
Flames of rising in the deepest sea
Our heart is lost, our soul forever too
A lighting cue
Endless dawn, biting sun
Overcome
Reign in madness for the growing heart
It’s beginning to start
Now we`re gone
We want your crown
Feel your heart – it`s an ode to valahia
The mind is black, the mind is dark
A cure for the soul – nothing apart
The stars are shining, an angel in the night
No broken wings, a peaceful flight
Yes we`re gone
We want you crown
In your lap we’re laying now
Darkness falls
Exiting, what I feel
Yes we`re gone
We want your crown
In your lap we’re laying now
Darkness falls
