Beginning of March, I spent 13 days on a road trip around Iceland. This video was supposed to be just some nice aerial shots. It’s actually my first project with a drone so I wanted to focus on that. However, after one day driving through Iceland, I was so impressed by the diversity of the landscapes and this infinite road number 1 that I had to capture some footage from the car too!
The video ended up being a mix between sequences taken from the drone and from the car.
In terms of cameras, I used a GoPro Hero 3 Black edition on the drone and a GoPro Hero 3+ Black edition on the car; both with the Protune Mode ON, 2k, 30fps.
The post-production was done with Adobe Premiere (editing) and Davinci Resolve 11 (color grading).

Sesame Street
Sesame Street is a long-running American children's television series created by Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett. The program is known for its educational content, and images communicated through the use of Jim Henson's Muppets, animation, short films, humor, and cultural references. The series premiered on November 10, 1969, to positive reviews, some controversy, and high viewership; it has aired on the U.S.'s national public television provider (PBS) since its debut, with its first run moving to premium channel HBO on January 16, 2016.
The show has undergone significant changes throughout its history. Elmo
Elmo is a Muppet character on the children's television show Sesame Street. He is a furry red monster with a falsetto voice, who hosts the last full fifteen-minute segment on Sesame Street, "Elmo's World", which is aimed at toddlers. He was most often puppeteered by Kevin Clash. Following Clash's resignation in late 2012, he has been puppeteered by Ryan Dillon.
History
Elmo is self-described as three-and-a-half years old and his birthday is on February 3. Elmo characteristically avoids pronouns, referring to himself in the third person (e.g. "Elmo wants this" instead of, "I want this"). Sesame Street staff writer Nancy Sans once described Elmo's origins: "There was this extra red puppet lying around and the cast would pick him up sometimes and try to create a personality, but nothing seemed to materialize."
The puppet, originally known as "Baby Monster", was performed by Caroll Spinney and Jerry Nelson in the background of episodes from the early 1970s, Brian Muehl from 1979 to 1981, and Richard Hunt from 1981 to 1984. Sans continues that "...one day [in 1984], Kevin Clash, a talented puppeteer, raised him up and brought energy and life into Elmo and from that day forward we would all write for Elmo. Kevin's performance inspired the writers to develop Elmo's character".John Tartaglia, Matt Vogel, and Jim Martin have all been secondary performers for the character, providing movement for Elmo's arms and legs, particularly in green-screen shots.

US Drone Film Festival - Official Selection 2016 - Oklahoma City Learn more about this trip on this article: http://compulsivephotography.com/photography/13-days-around-iceland/542/ Beginning of March, I spent 13 days on a road trip around Iceland. This video was supposed to be just some nice aerial shots. It’s actually my first project with a drone so I wanted to focus on that. However, after one day driving through Iceland, I was so impressed by the diversity of the landscapes and this infinite road number 1 that I had to capture some footage from the car too! The video ended up being a mix between sequences taken from the drone and from the car. In terms of cameras, I used a GoPro Hero 3 Black edition on the drone and a GoPro Hero 3+ Black edition on the car; both with the Protune Mode ON, 2k, 30fps. The post-production was done with Adobe Premiere (editing) and Davinci Resolve 11 (color grading). The music is “In the Shadow of the Colossi" by Doug Kauffman. Beginning of March, I spent 13 days on a road trip around Iceland. This video was supposed to be just some nice aerial shots. It’s actually my first project with a drone so I wanted to focus on that. However, after one day driving through Iceland, I was so impressed by the diversity of the landscapes and this infinite road number 1 that I had to capture some footage from the car too!
The video ended up being a mix between sequences taken from the drone and from the car.
In terms of cameras, I used a GoPro Hero 3 Black edition on the drone and a GoPro Hero 3+ Black edition on the car; both with the Protune Mode ON, 2k, 30fps.
The post-production was done with Adobe Premiere (editing) and Davinci Resolve 11 (color grading).
The music is “In the Shadow of the Colossi" by Doug Kauffman. You can listen to his work on his website http://dougkaufman.net/

After 3 production seasons at our original SE Portland factory, the need for more space to manage and support our growing production volumes led us on a search for a new factory space. Finding the right fit is harder than one might think. After several months of searching with limited success, we knew from the moment we walked onto the shop's massive factory floor that our new NE location was what we had been looking for all along.
8400 square feet (up from 2400 sf), better offices, dedicated kitchen space, a real loading bay, amazing highway access and thus a shorter drive to the mountain, and, most importantly, the space needed to redesign and rebuild our factory in a way that would ensure we could continue to grow for years to come. Over the next 6 months, we planned, developed, and tweaked our new production line based upon our experience the past 3 years in our old space, which had included two complete factory rebuilds and three exhausting production cyclers, resulting in the most efficient and enjoyable production facility to date.
It will likely take us several more years of evaluating and tweaking before it runs as smoothly as it should, but just knowing that someone can operate one tool without impeding the work of someone else (a constant problem in our old space) is enough to make all the work of moving worthwhile.
Since this video has been shot, we've added a new Reichmann stone grinder, a new Reichmann belt grinder, a completely badass, custom build deflash sander, a custom built detuner that saves us from having to hand file for hours on end, a new annealing and sandblasting station, and have doubled the number of stations throughout the factory to ensure that as we scale up our volume, we will have the space and resources to handle the increase without sacrificing quality.
Once this current production cycle has been completed, we will go back and reevaluate the entire shop, tweak and redesign the sections that need improvement, and continue our mission to build every pair of ON3Ps better than the one before it, all done completely in-house, right here in Portland, OR.

Beginning of March, I spent 13 days on a road trip around Iceland. This video was supposed to be just some nice aerial shots. It’s actually my first project with a drone so I wanted to focus on that. However, after one day driving through Iceland, I was so impressed by the diversity of the landscapes and this infinite road number 1 that I had to capture some footage from the car too!
The video ended up being a mix between sequences taken from the drone and from the car.
In terms of cameras, I used a GoPro Hero 3 Black edition on the drone and a GoPro Hero 3+ Black edition on the car; both with the Protune Mode ON, 2k, 30fps.
The post-production was done with Adobe Premiere (editing) and Davinci Resolve 11 (color grading).
The music is “In the Shadow of the Colossi" by Doug Kauffman. You can listen to his work on his website http://dougkaufman.net/

It will likely take us several more years of evaluating and tweaking before it runs as smoothly as it should, but just knowing that someone can operate one tool without impeding the work of someone else (a constant problem in our old space) is enough to make all the work of moving worthwhile.
Since this video has been shot, we've added a new Reichmann stone grinder, a new Reichmann belt grinder, a completely badass, custom build deflash sander, a custom built detuner that saves us from having to hand file for hours on end, a new annealing and sandblasting station, and have doubled the number of stations throughout the factory to ensure that as we scale up our volume, we will have the space and resources to handle the increase without sacrificing quality.
Once this current production cycle has been completed, we will go back and reevaluate the entire shop, tweak and redesign the sections that need improvement, and continue our mission to build every pair of ON3Ps better than the one before it, all done completely in-house, right here in Portland, OR.
