The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF)'s board of directors accepted the improved offer made by COSCO Group (Hong Kong) Limited in the context of the tender for the sale of the 67 percent of Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) shares.
The fund's governing board had opened COSCO's initial offer on Jan. 12, but requested an improved bid.
Kenya stands to directly benefit from hosting the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development,TICAD.
Among the benefits include the signing of the investment treaty between Kenya and Japan and the beginning of negotiations of a tax treaty between the two countries which will see Japan’s investment in Kenya increase.
While addressing the nation at Statehouse, president Uhuru Kenyatta and Japanese Prime Minster Shinzo Abe said Kenya-Japan relations remain the main gateway for economic development in the African region.

The Development Fund (Utviklingsfondet) is a Norwegian non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1978 by Norwegian author, Erik Dammann.
Utviklingsfondet
Published in 1972, Dammann's book The Future in Our Hands raised social and environmental questions and put them in a much larger perspective than until then had been the norm. Inspired by the interest for this book, in 1974 he initiated The Future in Our Hands (Framtiden i våre hender), today a world wide organisation with thirty partner organisations over the globe. In 1978, that organization established The Development Fund (Utviklingsfondet).
Utviklingsfondet is an independent environment and development organization. The organization’s mission is “to contribute, with emphasis on long-term measures, to promoting a fairer distribution of the world’s resources, supporting sustainable development and local participation aimed at promoting democracy and human rights, reducing poverty and safeguarding the environment.” The Development Fund addresses in particular the challenges of small scale farmers in the South in advancing food security and make for sustainable agricultural practices when facing the effects of climate change. Through local partners in Asia (Sri Lanka, Nepal), Africa (Ethiopia, Malawi) and Latin America (Honduras, Nicaragua), The Development Fund works with different development and environment projects related to such as food security, pastoralists in dry-land areas, and agricultural biodiversity.

Regional Development Fund
The Regional Development Fund (Norwegian: Distriktenes utbyggingsfond, DU) was a government agency and bank (a regional development bank) in Norway tasked with promoting regional development by counselling, loans and subsidies. The fund was established in 1961 and existed until 1993, when it was merged with the Industry Bank and the Industry Fund to form the Norwegian Industrial and Regional Development Fund. In 2004, the Norwegian Industrial and Regional Development Fund was merged with other agencies to form Innovation Norway.
The Regional Development Fund was headquartered in Oslo.

Proclaiming good news to the poor through reconciliation, relocation, and redistribution The Haiti Christian Development Fund (HCDF) has been actively working in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti since 1982. HCDF is a U.S. incorporated, non-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1980 for the sole purpose of Christian community development in a rural Haitian community. Its basic premise is to proclaim good news to the poor in word and deed, through reconciliation, relocation and redistribution (read more about the "Three Rs"). Proclaim Good News to the Poor The Haiti Christian Development Fund is first and foremost an evangelical organization and as such its ultimate goal is to proclaim good news to the poor. As a result, evangelism and Church planting have always been at the center of its ministry activities in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti. A Thriving Community and Alternative to Living in Port-au-Prince Since the 2010 earthquake, the media's focus on Haiti has faded. To many who were moved by the horror of the earthquake, it is now yesterday's news. Yet in many ways, the situation is worse now than in the days immediately following the earthquake. The worst is the apparent acceptance of life in the camps and living off handouts as a life-long fate. HCDF has set the goal of creating an environment here in Fond-des-Blancs that would be so attractive that the victims of the earthquake would choose to relocate here. HCDF has initiated and managed many projects, and partnered with others in the Fond-des-Blancs community since the early 1980s in comprehensive holistic community development. All endeavors stem from the "Three Rs" philosophy, and with these same foundational goals: Discipleship HCDF witnesses the love of Jesus Christ in word and deed. The churches and theological training programs teach the truth that Christ came to attest to. They address the issues of superstition which has kept the people enslaved to their own fears, and model the love and concern for the oppressed and poor in tangible ways. Starting with a small congregation of four people, the Fond-des-Blancs church has grown to eight congregations with a combined membership of over 1000. Every community in the greater Fond-des-Blancs area has increased in population, thus creating an even greater need and opportunity for sharing the good news of Christ in word and deed with the poor. Education To break the cycle of poverty, HCDF has been offering a quality education to the children of the community since the 1980s. The quality of education available to the children of Fond-des-Blancs is the envy of the entire district. Over 1000 students are currently enrolled in HCDF-supported schools. The next challenge is to provide a quality secondary education that provides greater opportunity for the graduates, including college sponsorship programs which enable the top students to advance onto a university. The church sanctuaries are the same structures from which the satellite schools and the Fond-des-Blancs preschool programs operate from; they are all in need of basic resources. Lessons learned from the schemes formed a key part of the workshop, which shared success stories with other ports and organisations in Europe.

The Haiti Christian Development Fund (HCDF) has been actively working in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti since 1982. HCDF is a U.S. incorporated, non-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1980 for the sole purpose of Christian community development in a rural Haitian community. Its basic premise is to proclaim good news to the poor in word and deed, through reconciliation, relocation and redistribution (read more about the "Three Rs").
Proclaim Good News to the Poor
The Haiti Christian Development Fund is first and foremost an evangelical organization and as such its ultimate goal is to proclaim good news to the poor. As a result, evangelism and Church planting have always been at the center of its ministry activities in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti.
A Thriving Community and Alternative to Living in Port-au-Prince
Since the 2010 earthquake, the media's focus on Haiti has faded. To many who were moved by the horror of the earthquake, it is now yesterday's news. Yet in many ways, the situation is worse now than in the days immediately following the earthquake. The worst is the apparent acceptance of life in the camps and living off handouts as a life-long fate. HCDF has set the goal of creating an environment here in Fond-des-Blancs that would be so attractive that the victims of the earthquake would choose to relocate here.
HCDF has initiated and managed many projects, and partnered with others in the Fond-des-Blancs community since the early 1980s in comprehensive holistic community development. All endeavors stem from the "Three Rs" philosophy, and with these same foundational goals:
Discipleship
HCDF witnesses the love of Jesus Christ in word and deed. The churches and theological training programs teach the truth that Christ came to attest to. They address the issues of superstition which has kept the people enslaved to their own fears, and model the love and concern for the oppressed and poor in tangible ways. Starting with a small congregation of four people, the Fond-des-Blancs church has grown to eight congregations with a combined membership of over 1000. Every community in the greater Fond-des-Blancs area has increased in population, thus creating an even greater need and opportunity for sharing the good news of Christ in word and deed with the poor.
Education
To break the cycle of poverty, HCDF has been offering a quality education to the children of the community since the 1980s. The quality of education available to the children of Fond-des-Blancs is the envy of the entire district. Over 1000 students are currently enrolled in HCDF-supported schools. The next challenge is to provide a quality secondary education that provides greater opportunity for the graduates, including college sponsorship programs which enable the top students to advance onto a university. The church sanctuaries are the same structures from which the satellite schools and the Fond-des-Blancs preschool programs operate from; they are all in need of basic resources.

Chinese shipping giant COSCO announced on Wednesday it had completed the acquisition of a majority stake in the Greek port of Piraeus. COSCO acquired 67 percent of the port for 368.5 million euros, or 409 million US dollars, under the deal with the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund of Greece. The sale gives COSCO rights to run Piraeus until 2052. COSCO has pledged to invest 294 million euros to expand cruise facilities, upgrade the dockyard, and create parking spaces as well.

The concept of cutting a canal through the Kra Peninsula in southern Thailand has been a conception in the minds of visionary thinkers for hundreds of years. In the early 1980s, it nearly came to fruition, as associates of Lyndon LaRouche, including especially Pakdee Tanapura of Thailand, mobilized leaders of the Thai government, American scientific institutions, Japan’s Mitsubishi Global Infrastructure Fund (GIF), and leaders from every major country in the region (except Singapore and China) to two conferences in Bangkok dedicated to implementing this great project to unite the Pacific and Indian Ocean Basins via a canal.
But the British Empire has repeatedly, throughout history, acted to stop the building of the Kra Canal – both because they wanted to maintain the strategic choke point over Asian trade which they enjoyed through their colonial outpost in Singapore and the Malacca Strait, but primarily because such a project would facilitate cooperation among the Asian nations for mutual development and resistance to western imperial dictates– a result to be feared and undermined by the Empire.
Financial and political crises in the 1990s, caused by British financial interests and their lackeys such as George Soros, prevented the implementation of the Kra Canal project during the final decades of the 20th Century and early 21st Century. But now the world is experiencing a global revolutionary transformation, and the British Empire, including its puppet Bush and Obama regimes in Washington, is facing dissolution. A new paradigm has emerged, centered in China, bringing Russia, India, Southeast Asia, and potentially the entire world into its development orientation, the “win-win” perspective of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s New Silk Road perspective, known as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
In South and Southeast Asia, China’s “21st Century Maritime Silk Road” concept (map), introduced by President Xi in 2013 while speaking to the Indonesian Parliament, has already brought the nations along the South China Sea, the Malacca Strait, the Andaman Sea, the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, and through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean, into an entirely new economic and political geometry based on rapid infrastructure development.
But missing in this geometry has been the hub represented by the potential of the Kra Canal. Now that potential is very close to realization, as the entire Asian region is breaking away from British/American constraints, and acting in its own interests to facilitate win-win development for all parties. At the same time, leading political forces in Thailand are now in a position to launch the project.

Ένα ντοκιμαντέρ για το πώς από το ξεπούλημα του ΟΠΑΠ φτάσαμε σε ένα ιδιωτικό μονοπώλιο που μπορεί να εκβιάζει κυβερνήσεις, να διαλέγει αυτό ποιος θα στελεχώνει της Ανεξάρτητες Αρχές που υποτίθεται ότι το ελέγχουν, να μεθοδεύει τη δημιουργία μικρών καζίνο στις γειτονιές της Αθήνας.
Ένα ντοκιμαντέρ που δεν θα δείτε ποτέ στην τηλεόραση, γιατί η ΟΠΑΠ ΑΕ έχει το μεγαλύτερο διαφημιστικό προϋπολογισμό από οποιαδήποτε άλλη ελληνική εταιρεία και τον χρησιμοποιεί για να αποσπά πολιτική επιρροή, διευκολύνσεις από όλες τις κυβερνήσεις και σιωπή από τα ΜΜΕ. Γι’ αυτό σχεδόν ποτέ δεν ακούτε για το σκάνδαλο της πώλησής του, τον τρόπο που λειτουργεί ως ιδιωτικό μονοπώλιο, τους κινδύνους από την ανεξέλεγκτη επέκταση των παγνιομηχανημάτων VLTs (“φρουτάκια»).

Το ντοκιμαντέρ ΟΠΑΠ,Από το μεγάλο ξεπούλημα στα καζίνο της γειτονιάς, του Λευτέρη Χαραλαμπόπουλου, σε παραγωγή του UNFOLLOW, μιλά για το πώς ξεπουλήθηκε ο ΟΠΑΠ, μία από τις μεγαλύτερες και πιο κερδοφόρες επιχειρήσεις του ελληνικού δημοσίου με σημαντική συνεισφορά στον αθλητισμό και τον πολιτισμό. Πώς «προικίστηκε» πρώτα με τις άδειες για τις παιχνιδομηχανές VLTs (τα γνωστά «φρουτάκια») και την αποκλειστική άδεια για τα υπόλοιπα παιχνίδια και μετά εκποιήθηκε. Πώς η πώληση του ΟΠΑΠ άνοιξε τον δρόμο για την καζινοποίηση της χώρας. Πώς περάσαμε από το δημόσιο στο ιδιωτικό μονοπώλιο. Hope that the screening followed with a talk by the director can really inspire our students and colleagues, to think more deeply on the issues of global justice and freedom.

The Film
Whistleblowers: patriots or traitors? Do the secrets they reveal ultimately liberate or damage their nation and its citizens? “Digital Dissidents” delves deep into the heart of what it means to be a whistleblower and the nature of their quest to disclose radical truths hidden from society, offering a poignant insight into the personal experiences of the most famous whistleblowers of the 21st century. Including Julian Assange and Edward Snowden, it asks what drives them to blow the whistle? What is so wrong with the surveillance climate in our current culture?

揭密者究竟是愛國者、還是叛徒？他們揭發出來的秘密最終是解放了，還是損害了國家和人民？揭密者究竟是誰？紀錄片《數碼叛徒》透過朱利安‧阿桑奇與愛德華‧斯諾登等廿一世紀最有名揭密者的個人經驗，嘗試理解揭密者的行事動機。究竟是什麼推動他們冒生命危險去揭密？我們現有的監控制度到底又有何不妥？
The Director
Cyril Tuschi was born in 1969 in Frankfurt. After Philosophy studies in Frankfurt in the late 1980s, he opened a nightclub and worked at a theatre in Stuttgart. In 1992, his first short film, FRANKFURT AT THE SEASIDE was invited to several festivals in Germany. Shortly after that he was enrolled at the Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg..
After some time as Musicvideo and Commercial director, Tuschi produced his feature debut SLIGHT CHANGES IN TEMPERATURE AND MIND (2004), which won the audience award at the filmfestival of german film – Ludwigshafen. In 2011 his feature length documentary about the Russian imprisoned billionaire KHODORKOVSKY won the main prize at the documentary festival Munich and the French critiques prize at Valenciennes Filmfestival.
Tuschi now focuses with his company LALA FILMS on script development and international co-productions of fictional & documentary topics of political and moral urgency. In co-production with Port-au-Prince Film, LALA FILMS currently prepares a fictional feature film, CIRCLES OF TRUST, about the whistleblowers Julian Assange, Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden, told through the eyes of a yet unknown whistleblower. Early 2015 Cyril Tuschi finished DIGITAL DISSIDENTS, a feature length documentary about motives of Whistleblower, and 2016 in the summer, RUSSIAN RESISTANCE, the sequel to KHODORKOVKSY, will have its international premiere.
In development are two new documentaries: one about the widow of Alexander Litvinenko, WIFE OF THE SPY and the other about Hippie Kindergarden: KINDERLADEN. On the fictional side LALA FILMS develops – in collaboration with NOKIA – the first long fiction feature in 360 VR in Europe: RUN HUNTER – and the high profile drama THE IMMORTALS VR.
導演
施維杜致生於1969的德國法蘭克福。在上世紀八十年代後期完成修讀哲學後，他在斯圖加特開夜店，並進行劇場工作。1992年，他第一套短片《海邊的法蘭克福》被邀請到德國不同的電影節。他隨後入讀於德國巴登－符騰堡州電影學院。
當了音樂錄像與廣告導演多年後，杜致攝製了他的處女作Slight Changes in Temperature and Mind (2004)，並獲得德國電影節Lugwigshafen的觀眾獎。其後，他另一部講述俄羅斯百萬富翁的長篇紀實片Khodorkovsky於2011年獲得慕尼黑紀錄片節大獎及瓦朗西安納電影節的法國影評大獎。而其續集 Russian Resistance將於2016年夏季公映。
杜致現時跟其 LALA FILMS 集中寫作劇本與國際合拍有關政治和道德急迫性的劇情片與紀錄片。與 Port-au-Prince Film 伙伴的 LALA FILMS 現時正籌備一齣關於朱利安‧阿桑奇、切爾西‧萬寧和愛德華‧斯諾登的劇情片Circles of Trust。於2015年早期施維杜致完成了一部關於揭密者背後的動機的紀錄片 《數碼叛徒》。

Early 2015 Cyril Tuschi finished DIGITAL DISSIDENTS, a feature length documentary about motives of Whistleblower, and 2016 in the summer, RUSSIAN RESISTANCE, the sequel to KHODORKOVKSY, will have its international premiere.
In development are two new documentaries: one about the widow of Alexander Litvinenko, WIFE OF THE SPY and the other about Hippie Kindergarden: KINDERLADEN. On the fictional side LALA FILMS develops – in collaboration with NOKIA – the first long fiction feature in 360 VR in Europe: RUN HUNTER – and the high profile drama THE IMMORTALS VR.

施維杜致生於1969的德國法蘭克福。在上世紀八十年代後期完成修讀哲學後，他在斯圖加特開夜店，並進行劇場工作。1992年，他第一套短片《海邊的法蘭克福》被邀請到德國不同的電影節。他隨後入讀於德國巴登－符騰堡州電影學院。
當了音樂錄像與廣告導演多年後，杜致攝製了他的處女作Slight Changes in Temperature and Mind (2004)，並獲得德國電影節Lugwigshafen的觀眾獎。其後，他另一部講述俄羅斯百萬富翁的長篇紀實片Khodorkovsky於2011年獲得慕尼黑紀錄片節大獎及瓦朗西安納電影節的法國影評大獎。而其續集 Russian Resistance將於2016年夏季公映。

Overview:
For centuries Central Asia and Afghanistan were in the backwater of global political and economic attention, stories of Great Games and Silk Roads notwithstanding. Interest in Central Asia from outside the region has been on the rise in recent years and Central Asia’s energy resources are of great importance to its neighbors in Asia and Europe. Afghanistan’s location as strategic land bridge in accessing Central Asia’s resources, and its own rich rare mineral resources have also been of great focus of regional countries and international investors. Economists are projecting that Central Asia - South Asia will become the new global center of economic growth and activity in the next decade. Afghanistan, given its location, is expected to play a substantial role in these rising regional prospects. Afghanistan’s deteriorating security, however, has still remained a challenge in front of this vision.
In the last few years, Afghanistan has made major advances in terms political transitions, and it is looking to make similar efforts in its economic transition. In addition to the two large energy projects – the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India Natural Gas Pipeline (TAPI) Project and the Central Asia South Asia Electricity Transmission and Trade Project (CASA—1000) – Afghanistan has also engaged with transport infrastructure projects like Chabahar port development that will allow connectivity of India and Afghanistan via Iran. The multilateral donors such as the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank have supported enormously the regional integration agenda through finances and technical assistance support. The Asian Development Bank as administrator of energy and infrastructure trust fund in particular has played an important role in successful coordination and implementation of these regional projects.
Since the five Central Asian countries and Afghanistan are landlocked small economies, a critical prerequisite for long-term economic growth and political stability is successful economic integration underpinned by effective regional cooperation. This panel, therefore, will address the central question of what are the prospects for regional economic integration and regional cooperation in Central Asia and Afghanistan, and what are the key obstacles in front of this agenda. The panelists will also review Afghanistan’s progress so far in the areas of macro-economic growth, energy security, infrastructure, and prospects of investment in mining sector in the context of the overall process of Eurasian continental economic integration.

As new social dynamics for work life and leisure emerge, new physical environments are required to support changing formats and needs.
At the 2016 Durst Conference, panelists discuss and debate real estate development projects that are currently demonstrating promising and varied programmatic functions, design formats, and even processes by which they are delivered:
