Carlos Lascano (born June 8, 1973) is an Argentine director and writer, mainly known for his works in animation and illustration.
Born and raised in Mar del Plata, Argentina, Lascano Lascano started his art career at an early age, as he was a child gifted at drawing, painting and story telling. At the age of fourteen, he had completed over two hundred pages of a comic of his creation, and by the age of twenty five he had already had a painting exhibition, written a graphic novel, completed Law School, founded his own Production Company and concluded Marionettes, his first feature film, for which he was awarded the Silver Prize as "Best Experimental Feature Film" at the 1998 Worldfest. The same film later came to be part of the reference material used at the Manuel Antin´s Cinema University, in Buenos Aires.
In 2002 he moved to Spain and worked as filmmaker, editor, script writer, special effects supervisor and animator for cinema, television, documentaries and advertisement, not only for Spain but also for France, Italy, United Kingdom and the United States. He worked in several TV movies for Televisió de Catalunya, wrote and directed video clips for recognized Spanish musicians and worked alongside important artists like Javier Bardem and Alex de la Iglesia. His original artwork, editing and animation direction of The Legend of the Scarecrow earned the short film over 20 awards worldwide, including a Goya Awards nomination and a pre-selection to the 2005 Oscar Academy Awards.
Lascano is a small city in the Rocha Department of southeastern Uruguay.
The city is located at the junction of Route 15 with Route 14, 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) from rio Cebollatí which is the border with Lavalleja Department.
A village was founded in the fields of ranchers Don Francisco Fernández and Don Francisco Lascano, by decree of 10 February 1876. The estates were situated on what was called until then "Partido de las Tres Islas". Although Don Lascano had a much smaller portion of land, the village took on his name because of the way official papers were signed, and due to the analphabetism of Don Fernández. In 1880 it became part of the newly formed Rocha Department.
On 4 July 1908, its status was elevated to "Villa" (town) by the Act of Ley N° 3.304 and on 3 November 1952 to "Ciudad" (city) by the Act of Ley N° 11.874.
In 2011 Lascano had a population of 7,645.

Stop motion is an animation technique that physically manipulates an object that appears to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Dolls with movable joints or clay figures are often used in stop motion for their ease of repositioning. Stop motion animation using plasticine is called clay animation or "clay-mation". Not all stop motion requires figures or models; many stop motion films can involve using humans, household appliances and other things for comedic effect. Stop motion using objects is sometimes referred to as object animation.
The term "stop motion", related to the animation technique, is often spelled with a hyphen, "stop-motion". Both orthographical variants, with and without the hyphen, are correct, but the hyphenated one has, in addition, a second meaning, not related to animation or cinema: "a device for automatically stopping a machine or engine when something has gone wrong" (The New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, 1993 edition).

London Grammar are a British trio formed by Hannah Reid, Dan Rothman and Dominic 'Dot' Major. Their debut EP Metal & Dust was released in February 2013 by Metal & Dust Recordings Ltd, while their debut album If You Wait was released on 9 September 2013. If You Wait has been certified platinum in Australia and the UK, selling over 70,000 and 300,000 copies respectively.
Both vocalist Hannah Reid and guitarist Dan Rothman are originally from London and met in a residence hall at the University of Nottingham during their first year in 2009. Rothman saw a picture of Reid on Facebook with a guitar and sent her a message to see if she wanted to collaborate. They were joined by Northampton native Dominic 'Dot' Major (keyboard, djembe, drums) a year later, after he began playing music together with Rothman. They chose the name as "not only was it where we're from, but London is also so international and multicultural that it actually felt like quite a universal name in a way."

This was a university assignment using nothing but Logic Pro. The task was to re-score an existing short film of our choosing using only the instruments provided with Logic Pro (including designing and/or sampling our own sounds). For this soundtrack I created mallet percussion from scratch, and sampled an upright piano. The original film isn't mine - it's by Carlos Lascano who makes beautiful work.
