Desingu Raja is a 2013 Indian Tamil film directed by Ezhil starring Vimal and Bindu Madhavi. The film is a full-length comedy set in two villages which are perpetually at conflict with one another. The film has been extensively shot in Thanjavur, Kumbakonam and Chennai. The film was released on August 23, 2013.
Plot
Idhayakkani (Vimal), who hails from the village of Killioru, is a firm believer in non-violence. The ongoing feud between his family and the family of Seena Thana from the neighbouring village of Pulioru is a source of constant worry for him.
Though their rivalry began on a minor issue, many lives were sacrificed over the years.
Idhayakkani’s father is killed by Seena Thana. Angered by the death of his son, Idhayakkani’s grandfather retaliates by killing Seena Thana’s son.
So Seena Thana vows to kill Idhayakkani.
Meanwhile, Idhayakkani meets Thamarai (Bindu Madhavi), Seena Thana’s daughter, at a temple festival and falls deeply in love. Chaos ensues when both realise who their families are and the respective sets of parents and villagers object to their romance. Idhayakani marries Thamarai at a temple and Seenathana gets killed by henchmen of Idhayakani's grandfather. Thus Thamarai develops hatred towards Idhayakani for her father's death.
According to Panchayat, Thamarai goes to Idhayakani's home with her family in order to kill Idhayakani but they fail in their attempts.
When Chittappa hears that Thamarai is pregnant he is determine to kill her child. But Surya (Soori), Thamarai's uncle tries to give honey instead of poison to Thamarai which makes her safe.
In the climax, Killiooru organises Kabaddi match in Puliooru. Chittappa arrives at the place by kidnapping Thamarai and her mother insteads Kaushik, Idhayakani's uncle was kidnapped instead of Thamarai it turns out that Surya had saved her. Chitappa arrives to kill Idhayakani but the presence of Cheergirls makes him undergo a change of heart.He then dances to the tune of Gangnam Style and accepts Idhayakani wholeheartedly.

Vimal
Vimal is an Indian film actor, who appears in Tamil films. Following cameo appearances in the Vijay-starrer Ghilli and Kuruvi and Ajith Kumar's Kireedam, he played the lead role in Pandiraj's critically acclaimed Pasanga (2009). Subsequently, he played lead roles in several low-budget productions. He established himself as a successful upcoming actor with Kalavani (2010), Vaagai Sooda Vaa (2011), Kalakalappu (2012) and Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga (2013).
Early life and career
Vimal was born in Pannankombu, a village near Manapparai and later moved to Chennai. He discontinued his studies and began learning dancing and joined the Koothu-P-Pattarai, a theatre group in Chennai.
While being a part of Koothu-P-Pattarai, Vimal was appearing in uncredited roles in several high-profile Tamil films, including Ghilli (2004), Kireedam (2007) and Kuruvi (2008), starring noted lead actors Vijay and Ajith Kumar. He played his first leading role in Pasanga (2008), directed by Pandiraj, in which he played Meenakshisundaram, an insurance agent. The film won critical acclaim, while his performance was well-received. He next appeared in A. Sarkunam's comedy entertainer Kalavani (2010) which went on to become a sleeper hit. His other 2010 film was Maattuthaavani which was long-delayed and went unnoticed. In 2011, he acted in three films, Cloud Nine Movies' Thoonga Nagaram, Eththan and Vaagai Sooda Vaa, which saw him collaborating with A. Sarkunam again. Vaagai Sooda Vaa was a period piece set in the 1960s, with Vimal playing a village teacher named Veluthambi. His next release was Ishtam, a remake of Telugu hit Yemaindhi Ee Vela, in which he played an urban character for the first time. He was then seen in UTV's comedy film Kalakalappu under Sundar C's direction that features an ensemble cast.

Bindu Madhavi
Bindu Madhavi is an Indian model and film actress, mainly in Kollywood & occasionally in Tollywood. After starting her acting career in Telugu cinema, she shifted to Tamil cinema where she was part of several successful films.
Early life
Madhavi was born in Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh. Her father was a deputy commissioner in commercial tax department, due to which her family moved to various places including Tirupati, Nellore, Guntur, Vijayawada and Hyderabad, before settling in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where she did her studies. She completed her degree in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology in 2005.
Career
While in college, she started modelling, her first assignment being for Saravana Stores. She had the desire to act in films but her family was strictly against her entering the film industry, with Madhavi citing that her father did not speak to her for eight months and that her mother too was upset. She met celebrity photographer Venket Ram in Chennai who agreed to do a portfolio shoot for her. She stated that Venket Ram was "amazingly helpful", as he gave her advice and that he was "the closest to a godfather I have in tinsel town".

Plot
The film opens with two friends "Pattai"Murugan (Sivakarthikeyan) and "Theni"Kesavan (Vimal) who are unemployed and want to become a politician. Meanwhile, Murugan meets Paappaa (Regina Cassandra) and falls for her. On the other side Kesavan meets Mithra Meenalochini (Bindu Madhavi) and falls for her. Paappaa and Mithra, too, fall for them after many confusions. There comes the Councilor Election and Murugan stands for it. Paappaa gives Murugan money to spend for the election. Eventually Murugan loses in the election. Seeing this, Murugan's father dies by falling off of the train platform. Murugan gets the job of his father. Kesavan marries Mithra. Murugan and Paappaa waits for the acceptation of their parents. As their parents accept for their marriage and they get married . Murugan & Kesavan realise the real value of the life & they decide that life is nothing without doing work so they both go to their respective homes & while seeing their father's photo Murugan & Kesavan write that " DAD IS MY GOD " & " MY FATHER IS HERO " respectively.

Immanuel Vasanth Dinakaran, better known as D. Imman, is an Indian film composer and singer, predominantly working in the Tamil film industry. His first film as music director was Thamizhan in 2002. Since then he has composed music for more than 25 films.
Early and personal life
Imman was born in Chennai, India. He is the son of J. David Kirubakkara Dass, who was a teacher. Imman started playing music at a very early age. His early years were spent in Chennai and he subsequently attended Don Bosco, Egmore, Chennai and later Pachaiyappa's College. He received his Master's degree from the University of Madras.
Married to Monica Richard on 24 April 2008, D. Imman has two daughters, Veronica Dorothy Imman and Blessica Kathy Imman.

Plot: Gian Singh & Avtar Singh are officers with the Indian Army serving under the command of Andrew Stilwell, who lives with his sister, Margaret, in Delhi. During 1941 the trio are dispatched to active duty in Burma where Andrew is killed. Both Gian and Avtar return to their village in Sarsa, Punjab, where Gian lives with his widowed mom, Shanti. During 1947, after 350 years of occupying India, the British decide to leave, but not before separating Islamic Pakistan and secular India. Millions of Muslims crossed from India to Pakistan, while an equal number of Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians crossed over from the other side. A group of Muslims who were crossing over to Pakistan are attacked by a mob of sword wielding horse-riding Sikhs, and Hindus, including Avtar, many are slaughtered, but some do manage to escape. Muslims, in turn, kill all Hindus, Sikhs and Christian passengers on a train en-route to India. While Gian, who refuses to participate in any killing, is picking up wood for his fireplace, he comes a across a young Muslim girl, Naseem Khan, in hiding, and decides to shelter her. He brings her home with him, places a turban over head to make her look like a young Sikh lad, and hides her in a trunk from his mother. But the villagers do find out, while some want to outrightly kill her, others want her to leave. Gian donates some money for the displaced Sikhs and Hindus from Pakistan, and asks the villagers to give him some time to locate her family from Pakistan and then send her on her way, to which they agree. Gian seeks the help of Margaret, who does her best to liaise with the Ministry of Unification of Families, but to no avail. In the meantime, Naseem adapts herself to the village life, and soon she and Gian fall in love with each other. Shortly thereafter both get married, and soon Naseem gives birth to a boy, Vijay. Years later, they get a surprise visit from Margaret, who has now located Naseem's family. Naseem's is thrilled, and departs to Kasur in Pakistan to meet her family, who she will be staying with for a month. When she does not return after 3 months, Gian approaches the authorities to travel to Pakistan, but is refused as only Muslims are permitted to cross over. He then converts to Islam, changes his name to Mohammad Hassan, and together with Vijay, obtains necessary documents to travel to Pakistan, but are stopped at the border and asked to bring further proof. Both father and son sneak in through the border fence and find a room in Lahore's Royal Hotel, managed by a Walter Hankins, a friend of Margaret. Gian goes to Kasur, finds Naseem's house - and it is here that he gets severely beaten up by Naseem's brothers, Abdul and Akbar, who, along with their mother, have been holding Naseem against her will in their house. The reason: Naseem's father was killed by a Sikh, and they refuse to permit her to leave the house and return to her family. What can Gian do under these circumstances, especially with his illegal entry into Pakistan, and also with sentiments still running high against Sikhs, Hindus, and Christians.

Desingu Raja is a 2013 Indian Tamil film directed by Ezhil starring Vimal and Bindu Madhavi. The film is a full-length comedy set in two villages which are perpetually at conflict with one another. The film has been extensively shot in Thanjavur, Kumbakonam and Chennai. The film was released on August 23, 2013.
Plot
Idhayakkani (Vimal), who hails from the village of Killioru, is a firm believer in non-violence. The ongoing feud between his family and the family of Seena Thana from the neighbouring village of Pulioru is a source of constant worry for him.
Though their rivalry began on a minor issue, many lives were sacrificed over the years.
Idhayakkani’s father is killed by Seena Thana. Angered by the death of his son, Idhayakkani’s grandfather retaliates by killing Seena Thana’s son.
So Seena Thana vows to kill Idhayakkani.
Meanwhile, Idhayakkani meets Thamarai (Bindu Madhavi), Seena Thana’s daughter, at a temple festival and falls deeply in love. Chaos ensues when both realise who their families are and the respective sets of parents and villagers object to their romance. Idhayakani marries Thamarai at a temple and Seenathana gets killed by henchmen of Idhayakani's grandfather. Thus Thamarai develops hatred towards Idhayakani for her father's death.
According to Panchayat, Thamarai goes to Idhayakani's home with her family in order to kill Idhayakani but they fail in their attempts.
When Chittappa hears that Thamarai is pregnant he is determine to kill her child. But Surya (Soori), Thamarai's uncle tries to give honey instead of poison to Thamarai which makes her safe.
In the climax, Killiooru organises Kabaddi match in Puliooru. Chittappa arrives at the place by kidnapping Thamarai and her mother insteads Kaushik, Idhayakani's uncle was kidnapped instead of Thamarai it turns out that Surya had saved her. Chitappa arrives to kill Idhayakani but the presence of Cheergirls makes him undergo a change of heart.He then dances to the tune of Gangnam Style and accepts Idhayakani wholeheartedly.

Desingu Raja is a 2013 Indian Tamil film directed by Ezhil starring Vimal and Bindu Madhavi. The film is a full-length comedy set in two villages which are perpetually at conflict with one another. The film has been extensively shot in Thanjavur, Kumbakonam and Chennai. The film was released on August 23, 2013.
Plot
Idhayakkani (Vimal), who hails from the village of Killioru, is a firm believer in non-violence. The ongoing feud between his family and the family of Seena Thana from the neighbouring village of Pulioru is a source of constant worry for him.
Though their rivalry began on a minor issue, many lives were sacrificed over the years.
Idhayakkani’s father is killed by Seena Thana. Angered by the death of his son, Idhayakkani’s grandfather retaliates by killing Seena Thana’s son.
So Seena Thana vows to kill Idhayakkani.
Meanwhile, Idhayakkani meets Thamarai (Bindu Madhavi), Seena Thana’s daughter, at a temple festival and falls deeply in love. Chaos ensues when both realise who their families are and the respective sets of parents and villagers object to their romance. Idhayakani marries Thamarai at a temple and Seenathana gets killed by henchmen of Idhayakani's grandfather. Thus Thamarai develops hatred towards Idhayakani for her father's death.
According to Panchayat, Thamarai goes to Idhayakani's home with her family in order to kill Idhayakani but they fail in their attempts.
When Chittappa hears that Thamarai is pregnant he is determine to kill her child. But Surya (Soori), Thamarai's uncle tries to give honey instead of poison to Thamarai which makes her safe.
In the climax, Killiooru organises Kabaddi match in Puliooru. Chittappa arrives at the place by kidnapping Thamarai and her mother insteads Kaushik, Idhayakani's uncle was kidnapped instead of Thamarai it turns out that Surya had saved her. Chitappa arrives to kill Idhayakani but the presence of Cheergirls makes him undergo a change of heart.He then dances to the tune of Gangnam Style and accepts Idhayakani wholeheartedly.

SYNOPSIS:
Two villages in Thanjavur area are always at loggerheads with each other and it spills even to T20 cricket match between kids from both the villages. Arikki @ Arivazhagan (Vimal) is a wayward son of Lakshmi (Saranya Ponvannan) who is in awe at the same time fears him. Her husband Ramasamy (Ilavarasu) is away in Dubai and a large part of the money he sends home is taken away by Arikki using extortionist methods like threatening to break the TV set at home. He yet to pass his 12th standard spends his time in bars with his friends, teases girls and asks them to profess their love for him, and gets into brawls after conning others. He meets Maheshwari (Oviya) and wants her to declare her love for him, which she finally confesses. He abducts her and they eventually marry. Her brother Ilango (Thirumurugan) is a tough guy who has an axe to grind against Arikki and his gang, which leads to the twist in the climax. The brother fuming with rage is out to slice him into pieces. But does he do that? And if he didn't, how did Vimal manage to avert that? All this is answered in an interesting climax that is pleasantly humorous
MUSIC:
The film score and soundtrack for Kalavani was composed by S.S.Kumaran. The album consists of 7 tracks, featuring lyrics penned by Na. Muthukumar.

Desingu Raja is a 2013 Indian Tamil film directed by Ezhil starring Vimal and Bindu Madhavi. The film is a full-length comedy set in two villages which are perpetually at conflict with one another. The film has been extensively shot in Thanjavur, Kumbakonam and Chennai. The film was released on August 23, 2013.
Plot
Idhayakkani (Vimal), who hails from the village of Killioru, is a firm believer in non-violence. The ongoing feud between his family and the family of Seena Thana from the neighbouring village of Pulioru is a source of constant worry for him.
Though their rivalry began on a minor issue, many lives were sacrificed over the years.
Idhayakkani’s father is killed by Seena Thana. Angered by the death of his son, Idhayakkani’s grandfather retaliates by killing Seena Thana’s son.
So Seena Thana vows to kill Idhayakkani.
Meanwhile, Idhayakkani meets Thamarai (Bindu Madhavi), Seena Thana’s daughter, at a temple festival and falls deeply in love. Chaos ensues when both realise who their families are and the respective sets of parents and villagers object to their romance. Idhayakani marries Thamarai at a temple and Seenathana gets killed by henchmen of Idhayakani's grandfather. Thus Thamarai develops hatred towards Idhayakani for her father's death.
According to Panchayat, Thamarai goes to Idhayakani's home with her family in order to kill Idhayakani but they fail in their attempts.
When Chittappa hears that Thamarai is pregnant he is determine to kill her child. But Surya (Soori), Thamarai's uncle tries to give honey instead of poison to Thamarai which makes her safe.
In the climax, Killiooru organises Kabaddi match in Puliooru. Chittappa arrives at the place by kidnapping Thamarai and her mother insteads Kaushik, Idhayakani's uncle was kidnapped instead of Thamarai it turns out that Surya had saved her. Chitappa arrives to kill Idhayakani but the presence of Cheergirls makes him undergo a change of heart.He then dances to the tune of Gangnam Style and accepts Idhayakani wholeheartedly.
