Apärä-st demo 2015

Time for some outstanding raw punk noise: Apärä (bastard in finnish, not to be confused with the band Apärät) come from the city of Mexico and this is their four track tape, recorded and released in Octomber 2015 by Doomsday Records. I don't know anything about Apärä,the demo is poasted in a couple mexcan punks blogs but not any ifo about the band. Anyway, this must be their first demo and is a blast of noise, chaotic and raging, ear tormenting D-Beat raw punk full of reverb and distortion at its finest. I don't need to put here the list of usual bands they sound alike. The demo lasts nearly nine minutes and its available in bandcamp along with Doomday's other releases, the label probably has physical copies of demo. Lyrics are in spanish and are available in bandcamp as well. Doomsday Records started back in 2010 and they have a shitload or releases under their belt, (there's some great stuff there.). I said enough, this is so fuckin good and deserves some attention, give it a listening and enjoy the noise.

Discum-5 track demo tape

Discum is one man band from  Ciudad Neza, Mexico, formed in 2011 by a guy named Old Skull, the first demo came out in 2012 and was titled Against Oppressive State, it was followed by split with Absolute Indignation and a 4 way split with Faršas, Bruten and Absolute Indignation. 5 track demo is Discum's latest release so far, it first popped up in bandcamp and later it was released as cassette by Tyranny Grinder, a Thailand based label who releases tapes. The cassette lasts over twelve minutes and consists of five track incl. a Disclose cover, Music wise this is not another raw punk band as expected since a Disclose cover is included but a rough crust/grind machinery with brutal death metal vocals and D-beat drum work, the combination seems to work, the guitar has a thick and solid sound fitting with the monstrous vocals and the D-beat force. Disclose's Conquest is well covered with band's own feeling.  You can get a copy from the label and listen it in bandcamp

Heädshöt-Fuck the war tape (2014, Black Rebelion)

Heädshöt come from Monterrey, Mexico and Fuck the War is their latest release, apart from this they have a couple of demo tapes under their belt. Fuck the war came out on the Indonesian label Black Rebelion Records and there is a reissue by Desörden Records from Spain (100 copies) and different tcover artwork. Fuck the War is band's best recorded material so far: Pure Discharge worship, D-beat druming, three chord riffs, a singer who shouts in english and spanish, raw and decent sound quality. Nothing to complain about, actually i was suprised cos its soo good much more than expected. The tape consists of ten tracks incl. a Disclose cover. I wait to hear about new recordings of them. Score a copy from the labels or the band and listen it in bandcamp

Arsonist-Demo 2012

Arsonist is a crust metal band from Mexico city, they formed in August 2012 and recorded six songs for their first demo in last November. Music wise this is a blending of thrash metal from the 80's, crust and some D-beat drumming creating a nice old school influenced piece of noise. Sometimes they sound like a thrash metal band then D-beat comes and adds some crust feeling, the singer screams in English and Spanish. All and all this is a nice effort and metal orientated crusties will like it.
The demo is available for free downloading in their bandcamp. Thanks to Andriana and Fabrizio for sending this. Cheers and best wishes!

Shit-Apocalyptic Rage cd 2010 & World Suicide ep 2012

Shit is a five piece band from Tecate, Baja California of  Mexico and from San Diego, United States, they formed in 2009 and so far they have three releases under their belt:  "En la penumbra demo from 2009 , Apocalyptic rage, cd 2010  and World Suicide" ep,2012, here we got Apocalyptic Rage and World Suicide. Music wise Shit is brutal death metal/grindcore with few black metal hints and brutal vocals, ripping guitar riffs and blast beating drumming, Apocalyptic Rage is a little bit chaotic compared to World Suicide which offers the answer to the question "what if there was some hints of D-beat drumming here?" in On the Wings of Extermination track which became my favorite. All in all i prefer World Suicide because of the better sound quality Shit have Reverbnation, Farcebook and Myshit page. Enjoy their noise!

HorribleXhangover-Demo tape 2012

Here's a short as horse fart demo tape from HorribleXhangover (what a brilliant name! its brings on some deja vu shit! doesn't it?) the one man grindcore project of M. Sasquatch  guitarist of crustie grinders Warkrusher (their demo was posted here) from Tijuana (Mexico) and San Diego (TX, USA), with Sasquatch handling all instruments and another guy doing the drum programming. The tape consists of only two songs, Day After (Slow & Painful Death) and Day of...(Alcoholic Annihilation), both are fast, violent, brutal and short with a few seconds less than two minutes total demo running time. There are the usual drum blasting parts, outbreak parts and breaks that lead to beat changes and as expected vocals are brutal, guitar sound is raw, crustie and crispy instead tuned down and heavy a ton burring everything beneath, the whole shit is very short so there is no room to say "it sounds like this, sounds like that" or to blurb a lot, a few more songs would complete the sonic chaos and things would be perfect. As i said the demo comes in (home made) tape format, if this is a promo tape for an upcoming tape or cd with more songs then its ok since these tracks give a signal of the pathway the band grinds. More songs! More noise!
There is a video on Youtube with the whole demo and a raw version with no vocals of Day of...(Alcoholic Annihilation) here, Download link is provided by the band (Thanks M.!)

Words-tape 2012

Words is a three man act from the mega city Mexico and this is their seven track ep released on tape format in January 2012. The band exists since 2010 and shared the stage with Antimaster, Eskatologia, Inservibles, Dave Phillips (ex Fear of God) and La URSS (Spain). Musically they bring a mixture of sludge with heavy crust/stenchcore/hardcore passages to pop up here and there all the time. Vocals are rough and shouted, guitar is thick and heavy and creates the sludge-y feeling even in the faster parts. I m not into the doom/sludge genre to say they sound like this or like that but i find their slow parts interesting.
Find them in facebook and tweeter, visit their blog and get the tape for free in their bandcamp.

Warkrusher-Demo 2011

This is brutal grindcore/crust: Warkrusher is a four piece grind influenced crust act from United States and Mexico (San Diego and Tijuana) and this is their seven track demo recorded in 2011, i know that the words "brutal" and "chaotic" are very common when you have to describe such stuff but that's what you got here: Brutal chaos and over of sixteen minutes of noise. Distorted vocals, chaotic guitars, fast tempos, breaks and slower tempos, a raw sonic hell nicely delivered and balancing on the border that separates grindcore and crust and not buried under a noise wall of a million drum beats per minute. The band is going to record a new demo with all the songs re recorded and new songs as well. Dnld link is provided by the band (Thanx Miguel and cheers!)

Hellcharger-Demo 2011

Morbid Black D-beat: Yes,this said it all: This is a blending of Discharge's D-beat and old old black metal of Hellhamer, Venom and Bathory. Hellcharger is a quartet from Monterrey, Mexico, they formed in 2011 and members are/were also in Disfuture, Headshot, Pandemonium666 and Treponel Pal. This is their promo demo which just came out on tape format by Nuclear Nightmare in only 66 copies. Here you got five tracks and thirteen minutes of the drunk D-beat of Discharge and Inepsy blended with the raw proto black metal of Hellhammer and Bathory and Motorhead's spirit in a hellish mixture smelling alcohol and hate. There is nothing else to add here, you can listen the demo in their Reverbnation or click below, the link was found in Last.fm

Empire of Lies-Demo 2010

Grinders metal punks making noise: Empire of Lies come from Quetetano, Mexico and deliver brutal grindcore: They formed in 2007 and include people involved with local bands and the anarcho/vegetarian/animal right movement, there's a lot of information in their facebook page but babel fish can't give me any help. The demo was released in 2010 and bring four tracks and ten minutes of grinding noise. As expected this is heavy and brutal, A cover of A for Arrogance of Agathocles is included. Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, Regurgitate and other brutal acts are mentioned as their inspiration, the intro track is a mid paced introduction to the grinding mayhem which is fast and close to aforementioned bands, there are some slower parts followed by fast outbreaks of noise and metal guitar riffs. Brutal! The link is provided by the band.

Disterror is a three piece come from Cancun, Mexico and this is their fresh new demo titled Upcoming Warfare. Their name reveals what they deliver: Five tracks and nearly eleven minutes of D-beat anthems with rough vocals and fast drum beat and a Motorhead/Inepsy/Dark Throne/Whipstriker worship in the ending tracks Pray for Death and D-Beat Roll. This is nice demo and they offer it for free, in their fb page they have a live vid incl. a new song ,there is also this vid from Underground Cancun (tv program).

There is a War Ripper song well covered. Give it a listening, its good enough to amuse your ears and soul.

Keyser Soze - Cenizas De Mi Historia cd (2011)

I had this cd via mail (thanx to Edson, cheers!) and it was the first time i met these dudes: Keyser Soze come from the town of Toluca, central Mexico and Cenizas De Mi Historia (ashes of my history) is their fresh new release, it was recorded in 2008 but came out only recently because of lack of money. The cd delivers eleven pieces of crust with dual vocals (lyrics in Spanish), fast beat and descent sound quality, sometime they slow down the speed and sound emotional, sometimes they speed on and bring some brutality. This is good. They also have a demo ep and a split with Amagi. if you are trapped in fuckbook you can visit their page and say hello.

Calafia Puta-Demo 2008

This is powerviolence/fastcore from Tijuana, Mexico. Calafia Puta recorded this eight tracks of furious thrashing hardcore for their 2008 demo. Everthing moves in fast speed here that sometimes is getting faster and faster, only a few slower parts appear here and there, the sound is raw and vocals are screamed/yelled. The paranoia lasts for 7:25 and each song hardly lasts over a minute. If you like Hellnation, R.A.M.B.O. and such bands then give it a try, if you don't like Vitamin X, What Happpens Next and such bands then give it a try too, the band offers this for free in their myshit

Outlaw Bastards-Demo 2009

Here is a bunch of Mexican crusties who carry a history in bands such as Bio Crisis, As Monuments Fall, Coaccion and others: Outlaw Bastards is a five piece crust and roll band fro Tijuana, they formed in 2008 and recorded two demos that stayed in the shadow, this is their third demo and the first to see the light of day. There are three tracks here delivering a blending of Swedish hardcore and Motorhead elements: 'El taimado' and 'Cerdo Servil' are more in the crust and roll Motorhead-ish side while the leading guitar melodies of 'Camino a la Perdicion' 's add some Swedish and Portland scene influences. Nice demo that lasts nearly ten minutes.

En el Abismo-demo 2008

Heavy as fuck and emotional crust with metal influences: En el Abismo come from the state of Yucatán, Mexico and this is their three track demo recorded in 2008. I don't know anything about them, their myspace has some text in Spanish but no any information about them and announces the release of a split cd with National Disasters, if you come from Mexico don't hesitate to write some shit and enlighten us
The demo consists of three tracks that last about twenty two minutes, the structure of each song is complicated, there are many parts and acoustic intros are followed by metallic riffs with dark melodies that have a depressive feeling in mid pace tempos that vary all the time from slower to a bit faster and back to slow or acoustic etc. Vocals are screamed , rhythm section makes great work, bass and drums have clear sound while the sound quality is very good. This is a crust journey into the realms of Fall of Efrafa, really excellent demo, i hope they will deliver some more recordings

Bio Crisis is a mexican band coming from the notorious Tijuana, they are formed around 2004,but didnt managed to record anything till last year. This is a five member band ,afcorse with two guitars,so they can catch that Wolfpack/Skitsystem crust d-beat sound with a bit more intesity, and they pull the whole thing off in a good way. This demo is released on cd format and has four tracks with nice recording which is offered on their page, and also have recently put out a split with Slaktattack from sweden.Enjoi!

Stress-Tierra y libertad (tape,2001)/Josemaki Crust Orchestra-Soliloquio (cd,2007)

Here we have two demos, kindly offered by the artists. Josemaki Crust Orchestra is a noise / grindcore one-man-band from Madrid,Spain while Stress hail from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.
J.C.O. sent this anonymously via a comment, (thanks dude and sorry for been to late posting it). "Soliloquido" was recorded in 2007 and consists of seven tracks of grindcore balancing to the borderlines of noise and sounds very close to japanese noise grindcore . The vocals are distorted, drums are played by a machine and the guitar is chaotic, if you are into this kind of extreme music then this is for you, idon't understand not a fucking word in JCO's myspace but Dani seems to have another project called Josemaki Grind Orchestra (!), there are two JGO recordings available there for downloading and they are very close to "Soliloquido" stuff...
Josemaki Crust Orchestra-Soliloquido Josemaki Grind Orchestra-II & Del fatalismo al optimismo desbordado

Stress is a long standing grindcore band from Mexico and since this demo has the title of my favorite movie it was a good reason to check it, In their myspace they have put a list of grindcore bands of 80's and 90's as influences (Napalm Death, Disrupt,Nausea(NY),Sore Throat,E.N.T. etc) plus a list of philosophers most of them anarchists of 19th century so you know what you should expect here: Old school grindcore inspired by all these old legends plus the strongly political lyrics. "Tierra y Libertad" consists of 13 tracks and approximately 14 minutes total running time. There are even some a-few-seconds-tracks
Stress started back in 1994, according the their myspace "Tierra y libertad" was their first demo, they also contributed track in several tributes (to Anarchus, Fear of God, Masacre 68) and other compilations
