The President of the Arab Republic of Egypt (Arabic: رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية) is the head of state of Egypt. Under the various iterations of the Constitution of Egypt, the president is also the supreme commander of the armed forces and head of the executive branch of the Egyptian government.
The first president of Egypt was Muhammad Naguib, one of the leaders of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952. He took office on 18 June 1953, the day on which the constitutional monarchy of Egypt was overthrown.
Following the 2011 Egyptian revolution, Hosni Mubarak, who held office from 14 October 1981 until 11 February 2011, was forced to resign following calls for his removal from office. On 10 February 2011 Mubarak transferred presidential powers to then-Vice President Omar Suleiman, briefly making Suleiman de facto president. Following Mubarak's resignation, the position of President of Egypt was officially vacated and the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, led by Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, assumed executive control of the state. On 30 June 2012, Mohamed Morsi was sworn in as President of Egypt, having won the 2012 Egyptian presidential election on 24 June.
A president is the leader of a country or a division or part of a country, typically a republic, a democracy, or a dictatorship. The title "president" is sometimes used by extension for leaders of other groups, including corporate entities.
Etymologically, a president is one who presides (from Latin prae- "before" + sedere "to sit"; giving the term praeses). Originally, the term referred to the presiding officer of a ceremony or meeting (i.e., chairman), but today it most commonly refers to an executive official. Among other things, "President" today is a common title for the heads of state of most republics, whether presidential republics, semi-presidential republics or parliamentary republics.
The title President is derived from the Latin prae- "before" + sedere "to sit." As such, it originally designated the officer who presides over or "sits before" a gathering and ensures that debate is conducted according to the rules of order (see also chairman and speaker). Early examples are from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge (from 1464) and the founding President of the Royal Society William Brouncker in 1660. This usage survives today in the title of such offices as "President of the Board of Trade" and "Lord President of the Council" in the United Kingdom, as well as "President of the Senate" (one of the roles constitutionally assigned to the Vice-President of the United States). The officiating priest at certain Anglican religious services, too, is sometimes called the "President" in this sense. However the most common modern usage is as the title of a head of state in a republic.
The White House is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the United States, located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. It has been the residence of every U.S. president since John Adams in 1800.
The house was designed by Irish-born James Hoban and built between 1792 and 1800 of white-painted Aquia Creek sandstone in the Neoclassical style. When Thomas Jefferson moved into the house in 1801, he (with architect Benjamin Henry Latrobe) expanded the building outward, creating two colonnades that were meant to conceal stables and storage. However, in 1814, during the War of 1812, the mansion was set ablaze by the British Army in the Burning of Washington, destroying the interior and charring much of the exterior. Reconstruction began almost immediately, and President James Monroe moved into the partially reconstructed Executive Residence in October 1817. Construction continued with the addition of the South Portico in 1824 and the North in 1829.
Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessperson and media personality. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Trump's career, branding efforts, personal life, wealth, and outspoken manner have made him famous throughout the country. Since 2015, he is also a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election.
Trump is a native of New York City and a son of Fred Trump, who inspired him to enter real estate development. After two years at Fordham University and while studying at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Trump worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son. Upon graduating in 1968 he joined the company, and in 1971 was given control, renaming the company "The Trump Organization". Since then he has built hotels, golf courses, and other properties, many of which bear his name. He is a major figure in the American business scene and has received prominent media exposure. The NBC reality show The Apprentice bolstered his fame, and his three marriages were extensively reported in tabloids.
Abdel Fattah Saeed Hussein Khalil el-Sisi (Arabic: عبد الفتاح سعيد حسين خليل السيسي Abdu l-Fattāḥ Sa'īd Ḥusayn Khalīl as-Sīsī, IPA: [ʕæbdel.fætˈtæːħ sæˈʕiːd ħeˈseːn xæˈliːl esˈsiːsi]; born 19 November 1954), commonly known as Sisi, is the sixth and incumbent President of Egypt, in office since June 2014. As chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Sisi ousted President Mohammed Morsi amidst an uprising in 2013, launching a bloody crackdown that left 1,400 dead and 16,000 detained. Sisi installed an interim government, remained Minister of Defence and became First Deputy Prime Minister. On 26 March 2014 he resigned from the military announcing he would stand as a candidate in the 2014 presidential election. Held between 26 and 28 May, the election included only one opponent, was boycotted by most political parties and the Muslim Brotherhood, and resulted in Sisi winning the presidency with more than 93% of the vote. Sisi was sworn into office as President of Egypt on 8 June 2014.

After spending four decades in the military, he came to power in elections last year after the controversial ousting of the elected Muslim Brotherhood. He says he has a roadmap for democracy. But not everyone is convinced. What are his plans for his own country? What about Egypt’s wider role in the region? And, will the threat from the so-called Islamic State continue to grow? CBS News : Charlie Rose interviews Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi سي بي أس نيوز : مقابلة تشارلي روز مع الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي 23th September, 2014
http://ziomania.com/ A very interesting interview indeed in English. This interview took place in 1969 in New York, and Nasser died the following year in 1970. Nasser comes across as very calm, very gentle, easy going and very reasonable. His English is very good (I was in fact surprised to hear how good his English was!) He spoke about how the Zionist state was causing so much havoc in the Arab region for twenty years. It has now exceeded sixty years and counting... SHOCKING: Nasser mentioned in this interview that 'the Jews' were his cousins and that Moses was born in Egypt and that Muslims, Christians and Jews lived in harmony before the advent of Zionism. He was so WRONG! The European Jews are just as alien to Palestine as the Italians were to Ethiopia and the English to Egypt. H...
