Olympia is the capital of the State of Washington and the county seat of Thurston County. It was incorporated on January 28, 1859. The population was documented as 46,478 in the 2010 census. The city borders Lacey, to the east, and Tumwater to the south. Olympia is a major cultural center of the Puget Sound region. Olympia is located 60 miles (100 km) from Seattle, the largest city in the state of Washington.
The site of Olympia has been home to Lushootseed-speaking peoples for thousands of years, including Squaxin, Nisqually, Puyallup, Chehalis, Suquamish, and Duwamish.
The first recorded visit by Europeans was in 1792 when Peter Puget and a crew from the British Vancouver Expedition charted the site. In 1846, Edmund Sylvester and Levi Smith jointly claimed the land that now comprises downtown Olympia. In 1851, the U.S. Congress established the Customs District of Puget Sound for Washington Territory and Olympia became the home of the customs house. Its population steadily expanded from Oregon Trail immigrants. In 1850, the town settled on the name Olympia, at the suggestion of local resident Colonel Isaac N. Ebey, due to its view of the Olympic Mountains to the Northwest. The area began to be served by a small fleet of steamboats known as the Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet.
Michael Arthur Herrera (born November 6, 1976), known professionally as Mike Herrera, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and bass guitarist, most widely known as the lead vocalist, bass guitarist, and composer for the punk band MxPx. He is also the frontman of the band Tumbledown.
Herrera was born in Bremerton, Washington to Art and Michele Herrera and is of Mexican and English / Welsh descent. He is the middle of three children and has an older sister and a younger sister. His parents live in Bremerton in the house he grew up in. Herrera started MxPx while he was in high school with friends Andy Husted and Yuri Ruley with the band's first performance in his back yard.
Herrera is the primary songwriter and vocalist and bassist in MxPx.Herrera started the band with Andy Husted and Yuri Ruley in the summer of 1992, just before starting high school.
As MxPx became less active in the late 2000s, Herrera increasingly appeared as a solo act. These performances include both MxPx and Tumbledown songs, and are generally performed with only vocals and acoustic guitar, though Herrera is occasionally joined by one or two others, including at times Kris Roe of the Ataris.

I made this video over 2 different trips to Seattle and it was mostly cloudy (of course) but I think there are a couple days of sunny footage in here! I have 6 ideas of things to do, there's so much more you could do but these are some of the most well known and I thought it would be cool for you all to see it from my perspective. Hangin' out with Lars down on 6th street
he knew I was in trouble
I was feeling much like the devil
there was something burnin' deep inside of me
ran into three Puerto Ricans
these girls took us to the funhouse
where we played a lonely pinball machine
hangin' on the corner of 52nd. and Broadway
cars passin' by but none of them seem to be goin' my way
New York City well I wish I was on a highway
back to Olympia...
I'm having a hard time understanding
it gets all too demanding
she's all gone and I'm stranded
something burning deep inside of me
all I know it's 4'o'clock and
she ain't never showed up
and I watched a thousand people go home from work
how many times will it take me
before I go crazy
before I lose everything
something burning deep inside of
me ran into three Puerto Ricans
those girls took us to the funhouse
