Midtown may refer to:
A Movie is a 1958 experimental collage film in which Bruce Conner put together snippets of found footage, taken from B-movies, newsreels, soft-core pornography, novelty short films, and other sources, to a musical score featuring Respighi's Pines of Rome.
The film is associational, in which a number of narratively and spatially unrelated shots from a number of sources are edited together to evoke emotions and make thematic points. A Movie consists of many shots of animals and people moving quickly, precariously balanced objects, cars and people crashing, and, perhaps most importantly, violence and war. The word 'movie' keeps showing up on the screen.
In 1994, A Movie was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
Since 2013 the work is a part of permanent exposition in Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Drive-Thru Records, established in 1996, was a California-based record label owned by siblings Richard and Stefanie Reines. The label was partially responsible for popularizing the pop-punk/emo sound of the early to mid-2000s. After facing financial obstacles in getting their bands' music into stores, Drive-Thru entered into a distribution deal with MCA/Universal. MCA was dissolved and changed into Geffen Records. One of the clauses of that agreement was MCA/Geffen being able to sign any band of their choosing from Drive-Thru's roster.
Once the Universal deal ended, they signed a contract with independent label Sanctuary Records. Starting with a new roster, the label garnered a top 10 platinum hit with "Here In Your Arms" by Hellogoodbye. However, Sanctuary was on the verge of bankruptcy, and sold their assets to Universal Music. Drive-Thru Records got trapped in that deal, and were stuck with UMD, the catalog division of Universal. The label's last release was in 2008, when Richard and Stefanie Reines decided to concentrate on artist management and put Drive-Thru Records on indefinite hiatus.
Best Revenge is a queercore punk band from Los Angeles, CA. They were active as a studio and live act from the beginning of 1998 until December 2002.
Best Revenge was formed by members Ryan Revenge (vocals/guitar) and KT (bass/vocals) in early 1998. The two were previously in a band called Happybomb while attending college at the University of Southern California. After the breakup of Happybomb, Revenge and KT briefly lost touch with each other, but later reunited to plan a going away party for Happybomb bandmate and celebrated indie comic book artist Jordan Crane. Revenge took the opportunity to pitch to KT his idea of putting together a melodic punk rock band with decidedly queer-oriented lyrics inspired by homocore heroes Pansy Division and Extra Fancy, as well as traditional punks The Clash, X, Social Distortion, Ramones and Operation Ivy. He played her a few songs he'd been working on including one that would later become one of the band's anthems, "Punk Rock Fag." KT was in.

www.District7Media.net @TheVoder @District7M Midtown New York City is the place to be. The lights, cars, traffic, architecture and people make the city come to life as a living, breathing, organism that never sleeps. Take a trip with this time-lapse production into the city and see the sights and sounds that create this magnificent destination. For us, this time-lapse production was produced using more than 50,000 still frames, shot over the course of 6 months traveling back and forth from Washington DC to New York City while we shot for clients. Our main goal was to capture the central part of the city in both visuals and audio. The sound effects used in this production were taken from the various locations we shot and were added in to give you the feeling of actually being there. ...

I photographed Remy back in 2006 in midtown Manhattan. Remy lived in this funky, green, studio space with her dog and parrot. At the time, she was modelling, and photographing others. Remy was a Filipino goddess. I guess champagne at 2pm didn't hurt, but she was such a flirt. Twisting and turning and teasing and dancing all the way. It took a while to get her naked, but once there, she was happy to stay. Remy is one of the starts of my Naked Coast to Coast books. Available on Amazon. Brown skin likes pink underwear and green lofts :) ~ Andrew
Peachtree Street in Midtown my not be in the best condition for the typical driver in Atlanta. For residents familiar to this type of extreme weather though it could be perfect for a casual stroll around town on those unused ice skates. When walking home I came up with the crazy idea of ice skating on the road in Midtown from 11th to 14th street. The thickness of the ice on the street was just like a pond back home in Indiana and seemed perfect. I skated for about an hour while people walking by took video and drivers on the street were just confused. I hope to be able to do this again someday.

Make my body motion, yeah the night is young
Open like the ocean, cold and numb
Dance until the sweat forms on your face
It won't take long to flush the poisons
I don't care where you come from
If it's awful there
All of us are alone
I forget where I come from
And I don't care
So what's wrong? I think too much
I don't want to fuck you, I don't want to touch you
I just want to fill you with regret
I've said it all before, it's pointless
I don't care where you come from
If it's awful there
All of us are alone
I forget where I come from
What I'm doing here
It's so redundant
I don't care where you come from
If it's awful there
All of us are alone
I forget where I come from
I don't care
Dance until the sweat forms on your face
