a quick video showing the installation process for an SS coupler, this one on a belt drive chainstay.
Watch this video for detailed instruction on packing a travel bike with S&S; couplers. The bike in this video is a custom Zinn Dolomite World Titanium travel bike with 4 couplers. Travel bikes for tall cyclists need 4 couplers, while average sized cyclists typically only need 2 S and S couplings. The process is mostly the same, other than packing the parts into the case, which is different for all bikes. You'll figure out the best order to put the sections of your own bike in it's case. Finish assembly
Bag; S and S Backpack. Bike; 2013 Brompton S6L-X folding bike. Humans; Tiffany and 1nterceptor. Measurements are 26in. X 26in. X 10in. The material has a little bit of give; so if your bike is just a bit bigger - it's possible that it might squeeze in.

The torque converter is often seen as the most complicated part in vehicles of today. It is, however, a very important component of automatic transmissions. This animation explains the theory behind this complex component. Contents 1) Torque converter impeller 2) Blades and fluid of impeller 3) Centrifugal forces caused by rotation of impeller 4) Torque converter turbine 5) Fluid flow between impeller and turbine 6) Fluid coupling 7) Torque converter stator 8) Housing, lock-up clutch and shaft 9) Stages of operation: stall, acceleration, coupling
-CLUTCH TORQUE LIMITER TYPE -- LF -CLUTCH TORQUE LIMITER WITH SLIPPING INDICATOR TYPE-LF SL -CLUTCH TORQUE LIMITER WITH COUPLING TYPE-LFG Torque limiters are reliable security devices of high quality. They are used to protect drive parts from overload which can damage the transmission gears. Usually they transmit the right coupling and slip when they are overloaded. The right adjustment of the coupling is reached screwing the threaded adjusting ring. If the coupling exceeds the established limit the drive is automatically disconnected. The type LF-LFG-LFSL are produced with a friction material without amiantus and they receive the thrust from springs which are adjusted by a threaded ring that is able to set the loads. The type LFG has a coaxial coupling that has the same functioning...

Demonstrating my ability to develop clever ideas to solve awkward problems, even outside my main field or electrical/electronic engineering. Dog 'horsebox' to bike three pivot joint... Alas the dog owner is camera shy so I had to ride the bike to get the camera footage - this did not go down well with the dog! Although used to the trailer, doggy really doesn't like anyone other than its owner moving him around, he made the exact same fuss whenever I took him in the car. Original trailer design relied on a bar that fixed to a coupling that was a permanent fit to the bike, we decided to use the much more stable and quick releasable frame that was designed for a single wheel tilting trailer on a non tilting twin wheel trailer - this led to the interesting design shown here. A 'torsion bar' w...
