Cadair Berwyn or Cader Berwyn is a mountain summit in north east Wales. It is the highest point in the Berwyn range, and the highest significant summit in Wales outside the National Parks. Cadair Berwyn and Cyrniau Nod to the west are the two Marilyns that form the Berwyn range.
The mountain lies on main ridge of the Berwyns which runs north–south. The eastern side of the ridge is characterised by steep drops and crags including Craig Berwyn north of the summit and Craig y Llyn to the south. Craig y Llyn forms the headwall of a cwm, and it is to this that the word cadair (chair in Welsh) presumably refers. Further north along the ridge is Cadair Bronwen, whilst to south the ridge continues to Moel Sych (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈmɔil ˈsɨːx], meaning 'dry hill').
It is often reported that Moel Sych, 1 kilometre (0.6 mi) along the ridge, is of equal height, but Cadair Berwyn's spot height on the Ordnance Survey maps, where the trig point stands, is not the true summit. Cadair Berwyn's summit, 200 metres (220 yd) south of the trig point, is 3 metres (10 ft) taller than Moel Sych. This summit is listed as Cadair Berwyn New Top on the Nuttall list. However, the name given to it by its discoverer, Bernard Wright, was Craig Uchaf.
Berwyn originally referred to the Berwyn range of mountains in northeast Wales:
Berwyn can also refer to:
Cadair Idris or Cader Idris is a mountain in Gwynedd, Wales, which lies at the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park near the town of Dolgellau. The peak, which is one of the most popular in Wales for walkers and hikers, is composed largely of Ordovician igneous rocks, with classic glacial erosion features such as cwms, moraines, striated rocks, and roches moutonnées.
The most widespread explanation for the name of the mountain is based on the fact that Cadair means "chair" in Welsh. Cadair Idris would thus translate as "the chair of Idris", and Idris is usually taken to be a giant who was said to have used the mountain as an armchair to gaze at the stars. Alternatively, it may refer to Idris ap Gwyddno (or Gweiddno), a 7th-century prince of Meirionnydd who won a battle against the Irish on the mountain. Idris ap Gwyddno was in fact referred to as Idris Gawr ("Idris the Giant") in some mediaeval genealogies of Meirionydd. An alternative origin for the name of the mountain, more consistent with the story of Idris ap Gwyddno than that of the mythological giant, is Irish cathair, meaning "city" or "stronghold".
Pistyll Rhaeadr (Welsh pronunciation: [pɪstɪɬ r̥aeadr], meaning "spring of the waterfall") is a waterfall, located a few miles from the village of Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant in Powys, Wales, twelve miles west of Oswestry.
Pistyll Rhaeadr is formed by the Afon Disgynfa falling, in three stages, over a 240-foot (73 m)Silurian cliff-face, below which the river is known as the Afon Rhaeadr. The tallest stage is estimated at about 40 metres. It is counted as one of the Seven Wonders of Wales and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The 19th century author George Borrow, in his book Wild Wales, remarked of the waterfall: "What shall I liken it to? I scarcely know, unless it is to an immense skein of silk agitated and disturbed by tempestuous blasts, or to the long tail of a grey courser at furious speed. I never saw water falling so gracefully, so much like thin, beautiful threads as here."
There is car parking space at the foot of the waterfall for people who want to explore the waterfall, with a café and a B&B alongside.
Started off at Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfalls then climbed Cadair Berwyn then spent the night on top of Post Gwyn, then dropped down to the car. My Garmin Adventure: http://adventures.garmin.com/en-US/by/sidowling/pistyll-rhaeadr-cadair-berwyn-post-gwyn-wild-camp/

During our Ascent Jamie wanted to play in the snow. We actually thought there was a large wooden fence until we touched it.
Filmed over a long weekend traveling North Wales. Stunning North Wales (Welsh: Gogledd Cymru) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales. Retail, transport and educational infrastructure are centred on Wrexham, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and Bangor. It is bordered to the south by the counties of Ceredigion and Powys in Mid Wales, and to the east by the counties of Shropshire in the West Midlands and Cheshire in North West England. North Wales was traditionally divided into three regions: Upper Gwynedd (or Gwynedd above the Conwy), defined as the area north of the River Dyfi and west of the River Conwy); Lower Gwynedd (or Gwynedd below the Conwy, also known as the Perfeddwlad and defined as the region east of the River Conwy and west of the River Dee); and Ynys Môn (or Anglesey), a la...
This is a Brief aerial video of Pistol Ryder waterfall, The highest single drop waterfall in Wales, the footage was taken back in June 2015 using a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) to show visitors the beautiful landscape and surroundings of the waterfall. Hidden within the forest of Llanrhaeadr this breath taking Waterfall attracts visitors worldwide and is a popular destination for hikers, as there are many scenic tracks to explore around the falls. This enchanting setting is also the ideal place for families to visit, as the waterfall has easy access and attracts lots of wildlife for both young and old to enjoy. Fantastic day out at Pistyll Rhaeadr falls, thankfully was given permission to fly my Phantom 3 and get this wonderful footage of these fantastic British waterfalls.
Bryn Cader Faner is a small cairn just 8m across and less than 1m high, but around the edge is a ring of tall, thin slabs set at an angle, projecting from the mass of the cairn like the rays of the sun, or as some say the "Welsh Crown of Thorns". The monument may be classified as a cairn circle, and was probably a site of burial rather than ceremonial function. It has been disturbed and a hole in the centre no doubt indicates the position of a cist or grave, the content of which is unknown. The army, on manoeuvres before the second world war, pulled out stones on the east side but, miraculously, the striking silhouette remained intact. It is a monument of simple but brilliantly effective design, placed with sophisticated precision in its dramatic setting so as to achieve maximum impact on...

[Chorus x2]
Our life used to be so wonderful
yeeaah
but ooo look at me now
[Devin the Dude]
Ya lookin at me strange
I got my weed I got my drank and other thangs
I been trying to adjust and focus
I want to quit drinkin this shit but, no luck
no bucks at the end of the night and I'm drunk
the crown royal Hennessy and Budweiser's no punk
nobody to save me with the proper technique
but I can't point the finger at nobody but me
but now I lose, I've been used, I've been lied on
I used to be private but now I feel I'm being spied on
it used to be so wonderful and so care free
but now the evilness tries to run up and scare me
and dare me to do somethin wrong somethin crazy somethin wild
was I thinkin or did I act into 2 people and smile
hidin bodies in the back of an ol' school 'llac
I forgot alot of shit but now I know for a fact that
[Chorus x2]
[Devin the Dude]
It used to be no wonders about who ain't feelin me
no spouse runnin through the house aimed at killin me
no love lost because emotions are deep
and no worries about where to go and no secrets to keep but
look at me now it seems that everybody know
where I been and even where I gotta go
and they'll try to help me out if it would benefit them but
if not they'll probably be like fuck him
but I can't get mad at em' I probably had em' by my side
maybe they think my promiseswas premeditated lies
and at a blink of an eye somehow I'm not trust-worthy
the purest heart you've ever known is now just dirty
I used to come through wit all kinds of bags of goodies
pocket full of change never have to ask for pussy
gettin the party started like lickity split
but now when I come through all they say is aww shit
[Chorus x2]
[Devin the Dude]
how can I win when situation seems kinda sticky
get relief without reachin for me a 40 oz
mickey or a pick me up would only lay me down flat
noddin off wakin up wonderin where I'm at
aw shit, damn where did everybody go
how did I end up on the floor I can't find my bill fold and
I got my keys and my car's been towed
I'm out walkin tryin to find the niggas lookin at me throwed ohh
always me break out the violins (get up and try again before you sin again)
what aww who is that I'm hearin shit
gatherin my thoughts is like tryin to build a pyramid
now I'm finally realizin it's all simple
It's how you take it like a pimple on ya face
you bust it you break it you scrape it off
and uh what you do is what you can do
it's what a man do anyway anyhow
I'm a cool brother
