OWSLA

OWSLA is a vanity record label founded by Sonny "Skrillex" Moore, Tim "Bitvargen" Smith, Kathryn Frazier, and Clayton Blaha. Skrillex announced the label on 17 August 2011. The label's first release was Porter Robinson's Spitfire, which reached number one on Beatport.

Prior to the record label, Skrillex had teamed up with Zedd, 12th Planet and Flinch to release a free EP titled Skrillex Presents Free Treats Volume:001 in 2011. The 19-track sequel was released on the record label on March 13, 2012.

OWSLA IV

On 12 December 2012, OWSLA launched their subscription program, "The Nest" later named "OWSLA IV" to distinguish it from the blog "Nest HQ". This subscription is exclusive via drip.fm. Other participating labels include Mad Decent and Fool's Gold Records. The program allows monthly subscribers to early access or exclusive tracks and remixes, remix stems, DJ sets, discounts, and other rare/exclusive items.

Nest HQ

Nest HQ is a blog formed in 2013. In April 2014, the website re-launched the Nest sub-label formerly hosted on Drip.fm now providing all releases as free downloads. The sub-label's first release on the Nest HQ was AC Slater's Back to the Floor EP.

Chicken soup

Chicken soup is a soup made from chicken, simmered in water, usually with various other ingredients. The classic chicken soup consists of a clear broth, often with pieces of chicken or vegetables; common additions are pasta, dumplings, or grains such as rice and barley. Chicken soup has acquired the reputation of a folk remedy for colds and influenza, and in many countries is considered a comfort food.

Preparation

Variations on the flavor are gained by adding root vegetables such as parsnip, potato, sweet potato and celery root, herbs such as parsley, dill, other vegetables such as zucchini, whole garlic cloves or tomatoes and black pepper. The soup should be brought slowly to a boil and then simmered in a covered pot on a very low flame for one to three hours, adding water if necessary. A clearer broth is achieved by skimming the drops of fat off the top of the soup as it is cooking, first bringing the chicken to boil from a pot of cold water and discarding the water before continuing, or straining it through a strainer or cheesecloth. Saffron or turmeric are sometimes added as a yellow colorant. Then, the chicken can be shredded by hand and stored in the refrigerator until ready for use in the soup.

Out Now Consulting

Out Now Consulting is a marketing agency that provides specialised gay marketing services to large companies by researching gay lifestyles and using the information to develop strategies to target gay and lesbian consumers.

Origins

Although Out Now is a Dutch company, its origins lie in the formation of an Australian company, Significant Others, which after its establishment in 1992 became known in Australian media over subsequent years for its work as a specialist gay marketing agency.

Significant Others presented the Keynote address at the world's first gay marketing conference in 1994.

Following the establishment of an office in Amsterdam, Out Now became the first business of its kind with agencies in more than one country.

Activities are now undertaken in the US, UK, Germany, Belgium, France, Ireland and The Netherlands markets.

Out Now's role in the development of gay marketing in various countries has been discussed in the Dutch language edition of 'Principes van Marketing' (Principles of Marketing) - a marketing textbook - by Dr. Philip Kotler.
