Are they surfing the black monolith?
Guess there isn’t a better way to escape… that…

I always think that an exclamation mark adds so much to a title!

I like the way the word bomb is in inverted commas, as if they’re being sarcastic.
Also, space linoleum.

I like that the alien has two left hands and two right hands, giving multiple options of ambidexterity.

So this is where Don Bluth found the idea for DRAGON’S LAIR and SPACE ACE.

I’m confused again. The Huge Beastie Fellow is stuck into the blue monolith and the two humans are aware/unaware of HBF behind them? Are they a team? Why does everyone have blue feet? Shouldn’t the next black tile be just off to their left?
Should have been “Abandon Cover!”

All right! All right! This is your captain, do not rush for the lifeboats…women, children, red dots, spacemen, and a sort of idealized version of the complete Renaissance man FIRST!

It really seems like the alien probably hasn’t had a lot of training with that sword. You’d think, with four arms, it could wield four swords, like a cuisinart. But no, one large two-handed sword, and it doesn’t even carry any shields with the other arms. Maybe over-confident?

It’s not a big blue “monster”, it’s a kind of self-pruning plant.

What pray tell is the “bomb?” Perhaps it is a tongue in cheek self reference to the book itself.
I can’t imagine that those little blue hospital booties they’re wearing would provide too much traction on space linoleum … and maybe that’s good for monolith surfing?

great title, though!

at first glance i thought the title was “RANDOM GALAXY,” which would be an excellent name for just about any sci fi book on here.

Abandon Galaxy? Oh, one of those Ringworld prequels.
December 15th, 2010 at 1:26 pm
Was this the accursed book that killed the magazine Galaxy Science Fiction?

Might the artist be Gray Morrow?
August 7th, 2011 at 2:53 am
The artist is Jack Gaughan, not Gray Morrow.

The woman is just annoyed that she’s not the only person on the cover wearing a blue tentacle dress.

If someone set them up the bomb, I suggest they take off every “ZIG”.
