• Luciano's Vagabundos @ Estació de França, Barcelona

Video by Terry Church: On 16 June 2012, Luciano's Vagabundos turned the ticket hall of Estació de França, a public train station in Barcelona, into an impromptu wild colourful carnival of house and techno. The Off-Sonar free surprise party in the station saw Luciano and Andrea Oliva DJing to a bemused public and a few thousand Cadenza fans, who turned up to dance in the station having heard about the secret party through social media. The station was actually open to the public for its usual services as the party took place, leading to an incredible atmosphere.

(Barcelona is not a good place to have a car because of all the one way systems and lack of parking) The Underground Station area is large and quite confusing for tourists just arriving. There is also a level for the train lines. So may be this video will help you find your way around. The train to the airport is free if you have a metro day ticket. The suburban trains called the Rodalies have lines R1to R6 To get to the airport you take one of the Rodalies one stop to Barcelona Sants; best to ask people.

Free video about Barcelona Metro network. This free video was created for you by http://epsos.de and can be used for free under the creative commons license with the attribution of epSos.de as the original author of this Barcelona Metro network video. Thank you for supporting the creative commons movement !! Drassanes is a station of line 3 of Metro de Barcelona beneath the Portal de Santa Madrona in the Ciutat Vella of Barcelona. It is located near the Port of Barcelona, the statue of Christopher Columbus and the Royal Shipyards of Barcelona. The station was inaugurated in 1968 as part of then Line III and the name of shipyards. In 1982 with the reorganization of the line numbers to Arabic numbers and name changes of stations, it became a station of line 3, and changed his name by the way Catalan Drassanes. It was recently renovated to be accessible to people with reduced mobility installing elevators in the station. The station is in connection with the proximity of the sea, as shallow as possible, directly under the street level. So each has platform a separate entrance. However, the two sides are connected to each other by means of a pedestrian tunnel under the railway line, so that all inputs can be used for both directions, this in contrast to, for example, station Liceu. The station has entrances to the La Rambla and the Avinguda de les Drassanes. The Metro of Barcelona, part of the public transport system of Barcelona, is an extensive network of electric-powered trains that run underground in central Barcelona, just above ground in some suburbs of the city. The network consists of 11 lines with a length of 123 kilometers and 166 stations. Some stations have been permanently closed. Today, the Barcelona Metro network consists of eleven lines where two carriers are active: Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) runs mainly on the major underground lines and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC - Catalan Government Railways) offers mainly local trains that are part of the network form but also beyond the metropolis go. The rates of the underground part of the pricing of the autoritat del transport metropolità, a system that applies to the entire city, where buses and some regional trains under consideration. L9 and L10 are the first metro lines in Barcelona to go around the city center and suburbs connect directly with each other. Remarkably, the new subway lines unmanned (without driver) driving and are provided for this reason the platforms of translucent screens, which open only after the subway train arrives. The majority of the metro stations in Barcelona has hardly any access aboveground building. Often it is above the ground station only an access stairway, an escalator or an elevator entrance, this in contrast to systems such as metro the London Underground. Under the ground is the decoration of the stations most strikingly austere, with some bad exceptions. A number of stations of the network is closed, never put into use, or moved to another location. The official logo of the TMB metro, a red diamond with an M, is not used for FGC lines. The FGC uses its own logo, as well as diamond-like in its own stations. The Barcelona metro is part of a wider public transport network, managed by the autoritat del transport metropolità which also determines the unit rate. Beyond these services, there are two great services that drive both in and outside of Barcelona: the slow train of Renfe, merged with the Rodalies Barcelona or Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya on the lines L6, L7 and L8 and a completely rail which serves almost the entire metropolis. See below the list of FGC lines. FGC is currently developing also the Metro Sabadell and the metro of Terrassa as expanding its network in these cities. The company Ferrocarril Metropolitano de Barcelona (FMB) is publicly owned, arose in 1920 and 1961 absorbed Gran Metropolitano de Barcelona. Service operates under the name Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) in conjunction with Transport Barcelona; it is responsible for the lines L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L9, L10 and L11. As a result of the adoption of the Code Accessibility by Decree 135/1995 of 24 March 2006, all the suburban railway and metro network should be accessible to people with reduced mobility, and numerous stations are being adapted by installing lifts in at least one of its entrances and adapting the platforms at the height of the doors of the trains.
