Basement Jaxx are an English electronic music duo consisting of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe. The pair got their name from the regular night club they held in their hometown of Brixton, London, UK. They first rose to popularity in the late 1990s. As the British Hit Singles & Albums book duly noted "they surfaced from the underground house scene, are regular transatlantic club chart-toppers and won the BRIT Award for Best Dance Act in 2002 and 2004".
The pair first met in a pub in Clapham, London in 1993. They bonded over an appreciation of New York house music.
Basement Jaxx started in Brixton, South London, in 1994, where they held a regular club night called Basement Jaxx, which was also held in a variety of venues including The George IV, The Crypt and The Junction. They were joined by DJs including DJ Sneak, Daft Punk, and singer Corrina Joseph. They mutated the night into an equally popular club called Rooty, the namesake of their second album.
Romeo Montague is one of the title characters in William Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet. He serves as the play's male protagonist. Romeo, the son of Montague and his wife, secretly loves and marries Juliet, a member of the rival House of Capulet. Forced into exile by his slaying of Juliet's cousin, Tybalt, in a duel, Romeo commits suicide upon hearing falsely of Juliet's death.
The character's origins can be traced as far back as Pyramus, who appears in Ovid's Metamorphoses, but the first modern incarnation of Romeo is Mariotto in the 33rd of Masuccio Salernitano's Il Novellino (1476). This story was adapted by Luigi da Porto as Giulietta e Romeo (1530), and Shakespeare's main source was an English verse translation of this text by Arthur Brooke. Although both Salernitano and da Porto claimed that their stories had historical basis, there is little evidence that this is the case.
Romeo, an only child like Juliet, is one of the most important characters of the play, and has a consistent presence throughout it. His role as an idealistic lover has led the word "Romeo" to become a synonym for a passionate male lover in various languages. Although often treated as such, it is not clear that "Montague" is a surname in the modern sense.
A basement or cellar is one or more floors of a building that are either completely or partially below the ground floor. Basements are generally used as a utility space for a building where such items as the boiler, water heater, breaker panel or fuse box, car park, and air-conditioning system are located; so also are amenities such as the electrical distribution system, and cable television distribution point. However, in cities with high property prices such as London, basements are often fitted out to a high standard and used as living space.
In British English, the word "basement" is used for underground floors of, for example, department stores, but the word is only used with houses when the space below their ground floor is habitable, with windows and (usually) its own access. The word cellar or cellars is used to apply to the whole underground level or to any large underground room. A subcellar is a cellar that lies further underneath.
A basement can be used in almost exactly the same manner as an additional above-ground floor of a house or other building. However, the use of basements depends largely on factors specific to a particular geographical area such as climate, soil, seismic activity, building technology, and real estate economics.
"Where's Your Head At" is a song by British electronic music duo Basement Jaxx. It was released as a single from their second album, Rooty, in 2001. The song was recorded in early 2001 and is based on samples from Gary Numan's songs "M.E." and "This Wreckage". The song peaked at number 39 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, the band's only charting single on a non-dance music chart in the United States. The song gained popularity internationally when it was featured over the closing credits of the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movie. The song is a featured track in the video game Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure.
The song ranked at number 83 in Pitchfork Media's list of the Top 500 Tracks of the 2000s.
The infamous music video, directed by Traktor, is almost as well known as the song. The video starts out with a man (played by Damian Samuels) entering an undisclosed location ("the armpit of nowhere" as he calls it) to meet up with a man who claims to have "the latest thing in pop music". Meanwhile, a guitarist is shown being wheeled away in a hospital gurney, with the song starting when he lifts his head.
Red Alert is the highest level of emergency in several warning systems.
The level is used, e.g., by the U.S. Homeland Security Advisory System (USA), the British BIKINI state and Ontario's Red Alert emergency bulletin. A fictional example appears in Star Trek.

Basement Jaxx started in Brixton, South London in 1994, where they held a regular night club called Basement Jaxx. Their next full length album, 2001's Rooty included singles "Romeo", "Jus 1 Kiss", "Where's Your Head At?", "Do Your Thing" and "Get Me Off". The music video for album opener "Romeo" is an homage to the Bollywood film style. "Where's Your Head At?" became a huge international hit in 2002, also known for its inclusion on the Tomb Raider soundtrack, and is perhaps Basement Jaxx's best known song, with a video praised by Mixmag as the best dance music video ever made. Xxtra Cutz was released shortly after Rooty, containing b-sides from this album's singles.

I, I've got to break away
'Cause no one out there
Listens to a single word I say
I, I've got to break away
'Cause no one out there
Listens to a single word I say, say, say
I, I've gotta get away
I'm living the same old shit
Each and every damn day
I, have gotta get away
I'm living the same old shit
Each and every damn day
I'm on fire
And I've got to, got to
I'm on fire
And I've got to, got to
I've had enough of this
Got to break it through
I, I've got to break away
'Cause no one out there
Listens to a single word I say
I, I've got to break away
'Cause no one out there
Listens to a single word I say, say, say

I'm on fire
And I've got to, got to
I'm on fire
Break out
I'm on fire
Break out
I've had enough of this
Got to break it through
Got to leave all this trouble
Living life on the double
And my mind's going mad
In emotional muddle
Can't see, can't think
All trapped in a bubble
All I want is to
Break out
Break out, break out
Break out, break out
Break out, break out
Break out, break out
Break out, break out
Break out, break out
Break out, break out
And you can't put me out
I've had enough of this
Gotta break it through
