What happens when National Grid needs to replace an electricity pylon?
As part of a transmission tower replacement programme between Pembroke and Swansea we filmed the construction team taking down an old tower and building the new one.
It took 2 weeks to complete the work and this was just one of 270 towers that scheduled for replacement or maintenance. The whole project will take around 2 years to complete.

How do we build a electricity pylon?
What happens when National Grid needs to replace an electricity pylon? As part of a transmission tower replacement programme between Pembroke and Swansea we filmed the construction team taking down an old tower and building the new one. It took 2 weeks to complete the work and this was just one of 270 towers that scheduled for replacement or maintenance. The whole project will take around 2 years to complete. -
