Jane Siberry (/ˈsɪbri/ SIB-ree, born Jane Stewart, 12 October 1955 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, known for such hits as "Mimi on the Beach", "I Muse Aloud", "One More Colour" and "Calling All Angels". She also performed the theme song to the television series Maniac Mansion.
Siberry has also released material under the name Issa (/ˈiːsɑː/ EE-sah) – an identity (as opposed to a simple stagename) which she used formally between 2006 and 2009.
On 30 August 2005, Siberry was awarded the 2005 Victor Martyn Lynch-Staunton Award in music by the Canada Council for the Arts.
She is a vegetarian.
Siberry's music is most commonly compared to artists such as Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell and Laurie Anderson. She has drawn from a wide variety of styles, ranging from new wave rock on her earlier albums to a reflective pop style influenced by jazz, folk, gospel, classical and liturgical music in her later work. She has cited Van Morrison and Miles Davis as being strong creative influences.
All Angels are a British classical crossover group formed in 2006, consisting of Daisy Chute, Rachel Fabri, Melanie Nakhla and Charlotte Ritchie. The group's style is classical crossover music and close harmony arrangement, with a repertoire spanning classical, choral, opera and pop including Franz Schubert's Ellens dritter Gesang, Agnus Dei (the choral arrangement of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings) and the Sancta Maria intermezzo from Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana, along with the Flower Duet from Léo Delibes' Lakmé and the Barcarolle from Jacques Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffmann, plus pop songs such as Robbie Williams' Angels, Fleetwood Mac's Songbird, Coldplay's The Scientist, True Colours, Goodnight my Angel (Billy Joel) Muses' Starlight and Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U. They have also performed the National Anthem at Twickenham and at the England vs. USA football match in Wembley Stadium in the summer of 2008.
They recorded their first three albums with Universal and have sold over 1 million albums to date. Their self-titled debut album, All Angels, was released in 2006, and their second album, Into Paradise, was released on 26 November 2007. A third album, Fly Away, was released in January 2010. Songs on this album include Norah Jones's Come Away With Me, Send in the Clowns, Bob Dylan's Blowin' in the Wind, Eric Whitacre's Sleep, and a duet with The Harlem Gospel Choir on I'll Fly Away. All Angels are managed by TCB Group.
"Calling All Angels" is the title of a 2003 song by the rock band Train. It was included on the band's third studio album, My Private Nation, and produced by Brendan O'Brien.
The song was the first to be released from My Private Nation in 2003 and peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also spent three weeks atop the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart that same year. The song features Greg Leisz on pedal steel guitar.
"Calling All Angels" was nominated for two Grammy Awards at the ceremony held in February 2004. In the category Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group, the song lost out to "Disorder in the House" by Bruce Springsteen and Warren Zevon; in the category Best Rock Song, the winner was "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes. The song has also been prominent in pop culture appearing in several television shows including One Tree Hill and as the theme song in the intro for the short lived medical drama 3 lbs. Train also performed the song at the 2006 Pepsi Super Bowl Smash.

Jane Siberry's brilliant, gorgeous, geek-girl anthem, Symmetry (The Way Things Have to Be) from her 1984 album No Borders Here never had a video. This Busby Berkeley confection plugs that gap. The visuals are from Dames (1934)'s title number. (Michel Gondry and Matthew Barney have spent the last 15 years strip-mining Dames (1934), and Edgar Wright has screened it at various festivals.) While many people nowadays associate symmetry in film with Wes Anderson or Stanley Kubrick, Busby Berkeley got there first and deepest. At any rate, I think the combination of Siberry and Busby Berkeley works very well. [This vid. marginally improves the resolution of a video I made 4 years ago. The small improvement sadly comes at the cost of losing all the lovely comments on the old version. :( For larger ...

See what I saw, heard, and thought during the Jane Siberry Concert. Enjoyed best in person. I even heard my favorite song, "One More colour," which I was wishing to hear her sing since the beginning. Jane has been graced with a most beautiful voice and her words are uplifting and encouraging others. I especially enjoy the songs about the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace; Jesus the Christ. T Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; Rom 10:10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Jesus Christ the Apple Tree
The tree of life my soul hath seen
Laden with fruit and always green
The tree of life my soul hath seen
Laden with fruit and always green
The trees of nature fruitless be
Compared with Christ the applle tree
His beauty doth all things excel
By faith I know but ne'er can tell
His beauty doth all things excel
By faith I know but ne'er can tell
The glory which I now can see
In Jesus Christ the apple tree.
For happiness I long have sought
And pleasure dearly I have bought
For happiness I long have sought
And pleasure dearly I have bought
I missed of all but now I see
'Tis found in Christ the apple tree.
I'm weary with my former toil
Here I will sit and rest a while
I'm weary with my former toil
Here I will sit and rest a while
Under the shadow I will be
Of Jesus Christ the apple tree.
This fruit does make my soul to thrive
It keeps my dying faith alive
This fruit does make my soul to thrive
It keeps my dying faith alive
Which makes my soul in haste to be
