The Melbourne International Jazz Festival finishes with a concert by Dianne Reeves, the most awarded female jazz vocalist of all time. Reeves toured with Harry Belafonte and Sergio Mendes in the 1980s before launching a solo career. Her sophisticated sound is infused with Latin, African, reggae, R&B, blues and pop.

Inspired by Nikolai Gogol's story The Overcoat and Teolinda Gersao's story The Red Fox Fur Coat, Undercoat: A Parafoxical Tale is a supernatural tale set in the Australian wilderness. A chorus of three red foxes help tell a story about the versatility of foxes and the shape-shifting power of language.

German beer hall Hophaus hosts SausageFest, an all-you-can-eat feast featuring all manner of sausages, meats, German tap beers and wine. Healesville Sanctuary joins forces with Yarra Valley food and wine producers for Wine and Wildlife. Neon Night Garden is an outdoor garden gallery of interactive neon art installations by Melbourne artist Carla O'Brien. Along with eight other touchable works, the artist's signature Neon Angel Wings are reimagined as the wings of a giant butterfly. This garden of colour and light is the most extensive display of artwork by O'Brien, who has previously exhibited at White Night Melbourne and Burning Man. Runs until June 16.

The annual National Celtic Festival celebrates Australia's rich Celtic heritage and the global Celtic arts scene with a program of music, dance, theatre, comedy, workshops and markets. Among the performers are Welsh five-piece band Calan, Scottish singer-songwriter Paul McKenna and Australian folk singer Eric Bogle. The Celtic market features stalls selling crafts, food and beverages. Attendees can also view piping and limerick competitions as well as Celtic martial arts.

The Mornington Peninsula's Winter Wine Weekend kicks off with today's Winter Wine Fest held at Red Hill Showgrounds, where guests can taste more than 200 premium wines from 47 wineries. Dozens of local wineries will open their cellar doors over the course of the weekend for tastings, seasonal food matching programs, lunches and live music.
