GAME OVER: Warriors 113, Cavs 90

An absolute mugging to start off the Finals. The Warriors' quest to become the first team to ever go 16 and 0 through the play-offs stays alive, and they need just three more wins to avenge last year's disaster.

LeBron, Kyrie and Love had 28, 24 and 15 respectively (with Love also grabbing the quietest 21 rebounds you'll ever see), but there was little else from the supporting cast...although Richard Jefferson had some nice touches.

Durant had 38 for the Warriors, Curry 28 and they ended up with 12 guys scoring for them in all. They only had four turnovers to Cleveland's 20 and while they didn't shoot particularly well, the pressure they generated on defence and open looks they found for Durant saw them cruise to an easy win.

The only consolation for the Cavs is that they lost Game One last year, and look how that turned out. We'll be back to do this again on Monday morning at 10am for Game Two.

7:55 gone - Warriors 105, Cavs 84

Ian Clark picks LeBron's pocket and the Warriors are up the other end in a flash, with Durant nailing a transition three. Timeout is called by Cleveland, but this one is well and truly over. KD has 35 points for GSW.

100 up for the Warriors!

Seven minutes to go and the margin is still 22 points. Curry is now 6 from 11 from three.

3:04 gone - Warriors 96, Cavs 74

Just one field goal in the period so far, with the other points coming from free throws. Both teams seem to know the result is beyond doubt and are going through the motions.

END OF THE THIRD QUARTER: Warriors 93, Cavs 72

Irving makes a three with 1.9 seconds to go, pulling the margin back to a measly 21 points. The Warriors are shooting 46.3% from the field to Cleveland's 36.8%, and have 12 fewer turnovers. Almost impossible to a win a game with such disparity in those two stats, and the scoreboard reflects just how clinical Golden State have been.

10:32 gone - Warriors 90, Cavs 68

Biggest lead of the night now, at 22 points. Curry drills a three before Draymond Green grabs his first points of the game! He makes a shot while drawing a foul on LeBron and adds the extra point from the line.

9:36 gone - Warriors 84, Cavs 68

Decent little 6-2 run for Cleveland before Durant swishes a mid-range jumper, then goes to the line and makes a pair. Warriors in cruise control.

7:00 gone - Warriors 78, Cavs 62

It's settled down a little bit in the past couple of minutes after that early explosion. Curry now has 23 points, Pachulia the Warriors third-highest with eight.

4:55 gone - Warriors 75, Cavs 58

It's getting a bit ugly here. The Warriors have exploded for 15 points in the opening five minutes and the Cavs simply can't keep up at the moment.

HALF TIME: Warriors 60, Cavs 52

Awesome half, time to catch our collective breath. Durant has been absolutely feasting inside as Cleveland have, if anything over-extended on shutting down three-point attempts, allowing plenty of points in the paint. KD had 23, Curry the only other Warrior in double-digits, with 12. They've spread it around excellently.

LeBron has a double double already with 19 points and 11 rebounds - but he also has SEVEN turnovers. His teammates bar Irving (17 points) simply need to do more. Kyle Korver was signed as a three point specialist and has missed open threes, and the rest of the supporting cast hasn't stepped up, either.

8:45 gone - Warriors 55, Cavs 45

That margin has settled around ten for the last few minutes with both teams trading buckets. Some very sloppy turnovers from Cleveland have been the main difference so far, as well as a complete inability to defend Kevin Durant in transition.

The lead is double-digits for the first time!

With just under five minutes to go in the half, Durant buries a pair of free throws and it's 49-39 to the Warriors.
