Chintsa (formerly Cintsa) is a village in the Wild Coast region of the Eastern Cape province, South Africa. It is situated 38 km north-east from East London, at the mouth of the Cintsa river.
There are two resort areas catering to tourists interested in sea fishing to the east and west of the river.
The village is in Xhosa country. It has a laid-back atmosphere with low-cost accommodation and unspoilt white sand beaches in Chintsa East, backed by forested dunes, lagoons and rivers.
South Africa, officially the Republic of South Africa, is the southernmost sovereign state in Africa. It is bounded on the south by 2,798 kilometers of coastline of southern Africa stretching along the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans, on the north by the neighbouring countries of Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, and on the east by Mozambique and Swaziland, and surrounding the kingdom of Lesotho. South Africa is the 25th-largest country in the world by land area, and with close to 53 million people, is the world's 24th-most populous nation. It is the southernmost country on the mainland of the Old World or the Eastern Hemisphere.
South Africa is a multiethnic society encompassing a wide variety of cultures, languages, and religions. Its pluralistic makeup is reflected in the constitution's recognition of 11 official languages, which is among the highest number of any country in the world. Two of these languages are of European origin: Afrikaans developed from Dutch and serves as the first language of most white and coloured South Africans; English reflects the legacy of British colonialism, and is commonly used in public and commercial life, though it is fourth-ranked as a spoken first language.

Volunteering with Cintsa Horses on The Newhampshire Rehabilitation Centre was the best thing I ever did! On the farm I'm always happy and the beach is always exciting. Jumping over logs and galloping the beach! Missing my second home. Thank you for everything Georgie & Penny, Love you Lots

Join us as we present to you our 20 day adventure going from Johannesburg all the way to Cape Town. Some of the top travel highlights included a Kruger National Park safari, hiking along the Wild Coast, canoeing in Wilderness and climbing mountains in Northern Drakensberg. Spend an afternoon with the Honeymoon Couple on the beaches of Cintsa, Eastern Cape South Africa.
You've stolen my heart
And I want you to remember
Now what'll I do living alone?
You've stolen my heart
And it hurts me to remember
'Cause now where'll I go to living alone?
And a butterfly in the wind is drifting like I do
It's dumb, I know what I want to say
But I can't even take one breath
As night falls
I hear voices on the radio
I'll follow their dreams and wake up alone
And a butterfly in the wind is drifting like I do
It's dumb, I know what I want to say
But I can't even take one breath
So now still burning silently away
