North Korea on Tuesday reportedly conducted a huge live-fire drill that involved up to 400 artillery pieces, which may have been supervised by the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un.
South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, citing an unnamed government source, reported that Pyongyang appeared to have deployed a number of long-range artillery units in the region of Wonsan, which is a coastal North Korean area.
South Korea’s military did not confirm the report, but told the news outlet that it is “firmly maintaining readiness.”

North Korea (
listen), officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK; Chosŏn'gŭl: 조선민주주의인민공화국; hancha: 朝鮮民主主義人民共和國; MR: Chosŏn Minjujuŭi Inmin Konghwaguk), is a country in East Asia, in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. The name Korea is derived from the Kingdom of Goguryeo, also spelled as Koryŏ. The capital and largest city is Pyongyang. North Korea shares a land border with China to the north and northwest, along the Amnok (Yalu) and Tumen rivers, and a small section of the Tumen River also forms a border with Russia to the northeast. The Korean Demilitarized Zone marks the boundary between North Korea and South Korea.
Korea was annexed by the Empire of Japan in 1910. After the Japanese surrender at the end of World War II in 1945, Korea was divided into two zones by the United States and the Soviet Union, with the north occupied by the Soviets and the south by the Americans. Negotiations on reunification failed, and in 1948 two separate governments were formed: the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the north, and the Republic of Korea in the south. An invasion initiated by North Korea led to the Korean War (1950–53). Although the Korean Armistice Agreement brought about a ceasefire, no official peace treaty was ever signed. Both states were accepted into the United Nations in 1991.

The Walking
The Walking is an avant-garde music/experimental film score studio album by Jane Siberry. The album was released on Reprise Records internationally, but remained on the independent label Duke Street Records in Canada. It is an excellent example of music that, on release, was panned by critics and largely spurned by the market, only to become a museum-quality art that has stood the test of time.
Critical reception
The album was initially poorly received by critics. It largely turned its back on the quirky new wave pop that Siberry had been known for; in its place was a surreal amalgam of progressive rock and Laurie Anderson-style performance art narratives, only one of which was shorter than six minutes.
Toronto progressive radio station CFNY, an early champion of Siberry's music, announced that it did not view any track on The Walking as viable for airplay on their station. Sales of the album were slow at first, although they improved when Siberry provided radio stations with a shorter edit of "Ingrid and the Footman".

Film festival
A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. Films may be of recent date and, depending upon the festival's focus, can include international and domestic releases. "How could you upload youtube video in NK?". "He uploads the video after he back to Indonesia, because he didn't dare if he upload directly from NK". Nope..that is not entirely True.. The answer is.. I already back to Indonesia, and currently I live in Indonesia.. My first 23 videos was uploaded when I was in North Korea. The most different thing that when I uploaded video in NK, for a 15 minute video needed two days to upload, because the internet there was unstable due to electricity on off several times in a day..I can’t subscribe for cellular internet mobile because its way too expensive and..not reliable too... but..when in Indonesia, I can choose which provider for internet and to upload a 15 minute video need only few minutes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These videos is about my daily life in NK...so I only posted about my routines things that I am doing in NK). Btw.. sorry for bad English and Korean.. North Korea on Tuesday reportedly conducted a huge live-fire drill that involved up to 400 artillery pieces, which may have been supervised by the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un. South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, citing an unnamed government source, reported that Pyongyang appeared to have deployed a number of long-range artillery units in the region of Wonsan, which is a coastal North Korean area. South Korea’s military did not confirm the report, but told the news outlet that it is “firmly maintaining readiness.”

So many people asked me..
"How could you upload youtube video in NK?".
"He uploads the video after he back to Indonesia, because he didn't dare if he upload directly from NK".
Nope..that is not entirely True..
The answer is..
I already back to Indonesia, and currently I live in Indonesia..
My first 23 videos was uploaded when I was in North Korea.
The most different thing that when I uploaded video in NK, for a 15 minute video needed two days to upload, because the internet there was unstable due to electricity on off several times in a day..I can’t subscribe for cellular internet mobile because its way too expensive and..not reliable too...
but..when in Indonesia, I can choose which provider for internet and to upload a 15 minute video need only few minutes...

This is my day to day life throughout the 7 days that I spent in North Korea. You can never be sure whether things were staged or not in North Korea because you are only shown what they want you to see. You can't choose where or when you will be going to specific places, they simply tell you to hop on a bus and ask you to get off at one point or another. A Month Around China
This video is made up from almost 3000 photos taken over four weeks of travelling around China and Hong Kong. We spent five days in Beijing, prior to our trip in North Korea, seeing celebrations for Golden Week - China National Day in Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. We joined the Dragon Trip, after returning from North Korea, for an 18 day tour around China beginning in Yangshuo. Yangshuo (in Guilin) is famous for its Karst mountain range spread across its farmland. This clip documents a day trip to the Joint Security Area at the border that divides the Korean Peninsula. A tourist bus starts from Seoul and stops at an observatory near the Freedom Bridge where tourists can peer into the North. That is why I didn't want to offer my opinion about whether things were staged or not, whether they were good or not, or honest or not. My goal was to show you what my day to day life looked like when I was there and let you make up your own mind and judge for yourself.
Do not judge North Korea only from what you see in this video. This is what they showed us and there's a reason they show some things and not show the others. Also, knowing how much control they exercise over the population, everything could have been staged only for us.

Simply avoid these topics if you can.

The ground started to shake and ripple under your feet as the tanks started to roll by,the street filled with thick clouds of diesel fumes.Alongside the thunderous noise you could still here the cheering. large groups of school children were trying to out sing or out screen each other, parents, grandparents waving plastic flowers some resembling mechanical toys,they lined the streets for as far as you could see.The tanks were followed by missile launchers,rockets, artillary canons and finally a never ending convoy of open top trucks filled with cheering soldiers.the whole parade had been delayed for hours due to a few clouds in the sky so by the time it had passed by it was completly dark.Finally as the convoy started to thin out the heavens opened up.the wind picked up and it poured down.For a while everyone remained in place and kept cheering what was left of the Korean Peoples Army and then like a giant herd of startled wilderbeast everyone was on the move.I took refuge in the middle of a brass band who had held their ground.The police were still frantically blowing their whistles trying to keep some order,in this chaos the brass band were still playing.I looked around it looked like a scene from Titanic.

The parade
The ground started to shake and ripple under your feet as the tanks started to roll by,the street filled with thick clouds of diesel fumes.Alongside the thunderous noise you could still here the cheering. large groups of school children were trying to out sing or out screen each other, parents, grandparents waving plastic flowers some resembling mechanical toys,they lined the streets for as far as you could see.The tanks were followed by missile launchers,rockets, artillary canons and finally a never ending convoy of open top trucks filled with cheering soldiers.the whole parade had been delayed for hours due to a few clouds in the sky so by the time it had passed by it was completly dark.Finally as the convoy started to thin out the heavens opened up.the wind picked up and it poured down.For a while everyone remained in place and kept cheering what was left of the Korean Peoples Army and then like a giant herd of startled wilderbeast everyone was on the move.I took refuge in the middle of a brass band who had held their ground.The police were still frantically blowing their whistles trying to keep some order,in this chaos the brass band were still playing.I looked around it looked like a scene from Titanic.

This video is made up from almost 3000 photos taken over four weeks of travelling around China and Hong Kong.
We spent five days in Beijing, prior to our trip in North Korea, seeing celebrations for Golden Week - China National Day in Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace.
We joined the Dragon Trip, after returning from North Korea, for an 18 day tour around China beginning in Yangshuo. Yangshuo (in Guilin) is famous for its Karst mountain range spread across its farmland. Here we saw a rural side of China; seeing the scenic view from 20 Yuan note, visiting a Dragon Trip's tour guide's family farm, have a cooking class, cycle through the mountains and farmland, float down the Yulong River on a bamboo raft and see the traditional Cormorant bird Fishing.
After Yangshuo we travelled to Chengdu; the heart of the West of China. We visited the largest building in the world the Global Center and saw pandas at the worlds biggest, Giant Panda Breeding & Research Center.
We then explored Xi'An seeing the Terracotta Warriors and cycling around the Ming Dynasty City Walls. After Xi'An we visited Dengfeng home of the Shaolin Monks and had a Kungfu lesson at a Children’s Home run by the Shaolin Temple.
Next we returned to Beijing seeing the Olympic Bird’s Nest stadium, hiked an unrestored section of the Great Wall and visited the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
From Beijing we travelled to Moganshan to hike to Moganshan Peak, see Chairman Mao’s previous summer residence and swim in a lagoon.
At the end of the Dragon Trip, we spent a week in Shanghai over Halloween. From Shanghai we flew to Hong Kong and while there took a ferry over to Macau.

The final highlight of the trip is a visit to the souvenir shop in the Demilitarized Zone where one can buy i.e. miniature dolls of soldiers, ginseng and uniforms.

North Korea reportedly conducts massive live-fire drill amid tensions
North Korea on Tuesday reportedly conducted a huge live-fire drill that involved up to 400 artillery pieces, which may have been supervised by the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un. South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, citing an unnamed government source, reported that Pyongyang appeared to have deployed a number of long-range artillery units in the region of Wonsan, which is a coastal North Korean area. Video I shot in June 2014 during my visit to North Korea - Pyongyang, Kaesong and Mt Myohyang, purely as a tourist. The serious kids, the skinny animals, people bowing to wax figures, the bizzare cities stuck into 1950s, and the countryside that seems to live two centuries ago - DPRK is certainly the most exotic and odd place I have ever been to. Before you judge my filming skills note that we were supervised by several guides at all times, and filming people was often not allowed, so this is all I got - often shot from a bus window. North Korea on Tuesday reportedly conducted a huge live-fire drill that involved up to 400 artillery pieces, which may have been supervised by the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un.
South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, citing an unnamed government source, reported that Pyongyang appeared to have deployed a number of long-range artillery units in the region of Wonsan, which is a coastal North Korean area.
South Korea’s military did not confirm the report, but told the news outlet that it is “firmly maintaining readiness.”

[Synopsis]
Young-Chan comes from planet of snail where deaf blind people live slow and quiet lives. When Young-Chan came to Earth, nobody understood his language and he was desperate. Then an angel walked into his life. Soon-Ho knows how it is to be lonely and soon becomes an inseparable part of his life. Young-Chan also discovers an amazing world under his fingers as he learned to read books with braille. Hopes began to grow and he dreams of writing a book. However, Soon-Ho cannot always be there for him because of her own problem of spine disability. The couple now should learn to survive alone. While Soon-Ho uneasily spends her first day waiting for his return, Young-Chan goes out for the biggest adventure of his life.
[The Filmmakers]
Director / Cinematographer: Seungjun Yi is one of Korea's emerging directors in the world documentary scene. Among a dozen TV length documentaries and shorts, Seungjun directed Children of god (2008), a story about the children living in the crematorium of Nepal, which has traveled the world including Hotdocs and is being distributed worldwide. His interest in filmmaking has always focused on the life of, so called the unseen minorities, which has become his signature style of filmmaking. With his new feature length documentary 'Planet of Snail' Seungjun teamed up with world class creative talents from literally all over the world including a Lebanese editor and a Finnish sound designer let alone the international funders and broadcasters. Yi's experiments on this ambitious project in every aspect of filmmaking broadened his view on documentary as a filmmaker.
Producer: Min-Chul Kim was born into a family that runs a record shop, a video rental store, and a photo shop altogether in a-bit-of-everything store in a small village of Korea. Thanks to the rich cultural environment of the family business, the country boy spent his teenage with American pops and Hong Kong noir films while watching his father developing black and white negatives in his kitchen turned dark room. He worked for film and TV productions to survive his life and love in Amsterdam while studying communication management. After a number of jobs including party promoter, literary agent and running a one-man production, he is now an independent producer based in Seoul and Amsterdam while mixing and crossing not only genres but also media and industries. Min-Chul's producer filmography includes Bong-Nam Park's 2009 IDFA mid-length competition winner Iron Crows.

Video I shot in June 2014 during my visit to North Korea - Pyongyang, Kaesong and Mt Myohyang, purely as a tourist.
The serious kids, the skinny animals, people bowing to wax figures, the bizzare cities stuck into 1950s, and the countryside that seems to live two centuries ago - DPRK is certainly the most exotic and odd place I have ever been to.
Before you judge my filming skills note that we were supervised by several guides at all times, and filming people was often not allowed, so this is all I got - often shot from a bus window.

“From North Carolina to South Korea”, commissioned by UNC’s Art Department and Carolina Performing Arts, combines the multimedia performance art of Liz Magic Laser with the choreography of Wendy Osserman. Collaborating for the first time, the mother-daughter duo examines internet news surfing. This performance piece employs live video feeds with green screen effects, repurposing the techniques of news production and dissemination in order to present an embodied reception of the news. The event involved a live-stream conversation between an audience at Carolina Performing Arts Memorial Hall in North Carolina and an audience at the Nam June Paik Art Center in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
