Hout Bay (Afrikaans: Houtbaai, meaning "Wood Bay") is a town near Cape Town, South Africa situated in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula, twenty kilometres south of the Central Business District of Cape Town. The name "Hout Bay" can refer to the town, the bay on which it is situated, or the entire valley.
When the Dutch established a colony in Table Bay in 1652, a great quantity of good timber was required for construction, shipbuilding other purposes. There was no large forest in the immediate vicinity of the settlement, mainly because the rainfall was not high enough. It was soon apparent that the colonists would be able to fell wood they needed in the wetter valley that lay on the other side of a low pass (called Constantia Nek) between the southern end of Table Mountain and Constantiaberg. The area was originally made up of two farms, which were slowly subdivided to make way for urban expansion. While still maintaining its rural atmosphere, the area of Hout Bay has more than 12,000 residences inhabited by a population of about 42,000 people.
Cape Town (Afrikaans: Kaapstad [ˈkɑːpstɐt]; Xhosa: Ikapa) is a city in South Africa. It ranks third among the most populous urban areas in South Africa, after Johannesburg and Durban, and has roughly the same population as the Durban Metropolitan Area. It is also the provincial capital and primate city of the Western Cape. It is the southernmost city on the African continent.
As the seat of the National Parliament it is also the legislative capital of the country. It forms part of the City of Cape Town metropolitan municipality. The city is famous for its harbour, for its natural setting in the Cape Floristic Region, as well as for such well-known landmarks as Table Mountain and Cape Point. As of 2014, it is the 10th most populous city in Africa and home to 64% of the Western Cape's population. It is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, reflecting its role as a major destination for immigrants and expatriates to South Africa. The city was named the World Design Capital for 2014 by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design. In 2014, Cape Town was named the best place in the world to visit by both The New York Times and The Telegraph.
South Africa, officially the Republic of South Africa, is the southernmost sovereign state in Africa. It is bounded on the south by 2,798 kilometers of coastline of southern Africa stretching along the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans, on the north by the neighbouring countries of Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, and on the east by Mozambique and Swaziland, and surrounding the kingdom of Lesotho. South Africa is the 25th-largest country in the world by land area, and with close to 53 million people, is the world's 24th-most populous nation. It is the southernmost country on the mainland of the Old World or the Eastern Hemisphere.
South Africa is a multiethnic society encompassing a wide variety of cultures, languages, and religions. Its pluralistic makeup is reflected in the constitution's recognition of 11 official languages, which is among the highest number of any country in the world. Two of these languages are of European origin: Afrikaans developed from Dutch and serves as the first language of most white and coloured South Africans; English reflects the legacy of British colonialism, and is commonly used in public and commercial life, though it is fourth-ranked as a spoken first language.
Imizamo Yethu (Xhosa, meaning "through our collective efforts" and commonly known as Mandela Park), is an informal settlement in the greater Hout Bay Valley area. The 18 hectare settlement houses approximately 33 600 people with little or no infrastructure for sustainable living. The settlement has dismal water facilities; there have very few toilets and no sewerage system. The Disa River which runs through this settlement has the highest level of e-coli bacteria that has ever been recorded in South Africa.
The community living conditions were improved by the Niall Mellon Township Trust with their People's Housing Process in 2002. This non-profit organisation based in Ireland sent volunteers to build several hundred basic homes for individuals in Imizamo Yethu.
For tourists interested in learning the everyday lives of people in IY (the local name for the township), residents provide tours of the preschool, day care, barber shop, auto shop, orphanage, grocery store and local pub. For a small fee, they can answer any questions and introduce you to many of the wonderful people who call this place their home. Many locals will also warmly invite tourists into their homes where they sell beautiful hand-made bead work and jewelry.

Back home again here's the video of the most venomous snake in Africa , which I picked up at one of the most popular beaches around Cape Town. I had a bath 100m beside it on our second day in Africa. What this meant I realized a few days later when I heard people talking about this incident.
The devastating which broke out in Mandela Park on Saturday destroyed more than 3500 shacks. At least 15 thousand people were left homeless. EMBED THIS VIDEO ON YOUR WEBSITE! If you don't know how, contact us. Once a small sleepy fishing village, Hout Bay seems to have remained in transition forever. You can enter Chapmans Peak at the southern end of the town headed for Noordhoek. There are a few good restaurants and Guest Houses in the area. There is a under cover craft market with some of the best food you can find in Cape Town. Before heading over Chappies, stop and storl through the old fort as you enter the drive. If you choose to go over Constantia Nek you will find a couple of great small wineries, which will rival some of the best wines you have ever tasted! In the harbour you will find boats that will take tourists out to seal island.

South Africa has some incredible sights to see. In this part I visited some cheeky penguins at Boulders Beach in Simon's Town, I hiked up to Cape point, the most south-western tip of all of Africa, hiked Cape of Good Hope and saw some grazing ostrich while experiencing gale force winds. I spent new years day driving to Hout Bay where we took a ferry to seal island and drove the scenic Chapman's Peak drive to watch the first sunset of 2015. It is worth noting that I did all those activities in Hout Bay on 3 hours of sleep and hungover from partying at a wine farm for new years eve. The most I do on a hangover at home is crawl from my bed to the fridge and back, but when you travel a hangover won't stop you from exploring a new country for 16+ hours. In short, I had an amazing time :) Tha...

"Are you ready for the truth?"
Give me the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth, so help me
You will never win, never again, my people are ready for anything
No more secrets, no more lies, open your eyes, can you hear me?
Destruction of the corporate corruption, feel my aggression now
The time has come, we are the ones, we bring the pain
Nothing will ever be the same, it's judgement day and it's time to pay
We lead the way, we forward go, you can't stop the four
You can't stop us now, it's the love you show
The family grows, you reap what you sow
Truth is rising
Give me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth
This fire will burn everything in sight,
stand up and fight for your rights
