A commercial "bath bomb" from a hotel my wife took me to, as part of a birthday getaway in 2014.

A little over 2 years ago, my wife decided that for my birthday gift she wanted to take me out to spend the night at a very romantic, but very old, hotel.
As we were checking in, the attendant asked us if we'd like to purchase a "bath bomb" to enhance our experience.
I had never heard of a "bath bomb" before, but naturally my ears perked up, and of course I was interested in anything ending with the word "bomb".
The instructions said to simply drop it in the bath water, so we did, and to my amazement, it immediately started fizzing and bubbling, and making the room smell amazing. The water got softer, and our bath felt like luxury and pure bliss.
I decided right then and there (in the bath tub) that I was going to figure out how to make one of these amazing devices, and share it with the world.
I put the idea on the shelf for awhile to focus on other projects, but my interest was reawakened one night as my family and I were watching a YouTube channel called "What's Up Moms". They had a cool bath bomb video (http://bit.ly/WUMBathbombs) that inspired me to try again.
I followed Brooke's instructions perfectly, changing only the color and the amount of water slightly, and to my great satisfaction, this recipe worked perfectly! ..which meant my wife and I enjoyed another bath bomb experience that night.
With Valentines Day quickly approaching, my goal was to come up with a cool project idea that anyone could share with their partner, and be proud of. I wanted a project that was "King of Random Style", but still gentle and elegant enough to make a woman happy, and genuinely excited about her gift as well.
I spent weeks experimenting with different ideas, colors, and molds, and developed ideas ranging from black Bob-ombs and round bath bombs, to sticks of TNT.
Ultimately I settled on a red/pink stick of dynamite, because it looks cool, and turns the water pink as it diffuses.
My wife guided me in my choices of essential oils, based on what she prefers, so the only thing left for me to figure out was how to make the wick useful.
The idea of tying a secret gift, like jewelry, to the end of the string then packing it into the bath bomb during production came to me as I was nearing the end of my prototyping.
My wife loved the idea so much we immediately got on Amazon and picked out a ring she adored, so I could pack it into her "surprise" while filming the video :)

Project History & More Info: A little over 2 years ago, my wife decided that for my birthday gift she wanted to take me out to spend the night at a very romantic, but very old, hotel. As we were checking in, the attendant asked us if we'd like to purchase a "bath bomb" to enhance our experience. I had never heard of a "bath bomb" before, but naturally my ears perked up, and of course I was interested in anything ending with the word "bomb". The instructions said to simply drop it in the bath water, so we did, and to my amazement, it immediately started fizzing and bubbling, and making the room smell amazing. The water got softer, and our bath felt like luxury and pure bliss. I decided right then and there (in the bath tub) that I was going to figure out how to make one of these amazing devices, and share it with the world. I put the idea on the shelf for awhile to focus on other projects, but my interest was reawakened one night as my family and I were watching a YouTube channel called "What's Up Moms". They had a cool bath bomb video (http://bit.ly/WUMBathbombs) that inspired me to try again. I followed Brooke's instructions perfectly, changing only the color and the amount of water slightly, and to my great satisfaction, this recipe worked perfectly! ..which meant my wife and I enjoyed another bath bomb experience that night. With Valentines Day quickly approaching, my goal was to come up with a cool project idea that anyone could share with their partner, and be proud of. I wanted a project that was "King of Random Style", but still gentle and elegant enough to make a woman happy, and genuinely excited about her gift as well. I spent weeks experimenting with different ideas, colors, and molds, and developed ideas ranging from black Bob-ombs and round bath bombs, to sticks of TNT. Ultimately I settled on a red/pink stick of dynamite, because it looks cool, and turns the water pink as it diffuses. My wife guided me in my choices of essential oils, based on what she prefers, so the only thing left for me to figure out was how to make the wick useful. The idea of tying a secret gift, like jewelry, to the end of the string then packing it into the bath bomb during production came to me as I was nearing the end of my prototyping. My wife loved the idea so much we immediately got on Amazon and picked out a ring she adored, so I could pack it into her "surprise" while filming the video :)

A commercial "bath bomb" from a hotel my wife took me to, as part of a birthday getaway in 2014.

A little over 2 years ago, my wife decided that for my birthday gift she wanted to take me out to spend the night at a very romantic, but very old, hotel.
As we were checking in, the attendant asked us if we'd like to purchase a "bath bomb" to enhance our experience.
I had never heard of a "bath bomb" before, but naturally my ears perked up, and of course I was interested in anything ending with the word "bomb".
The instructions said to simply drop it in the bath water, so we did, and to my amazement, it immediately started fizzing and bubbling, and making the room smell amazing. The water got softer, and our bath felt like luxury and pure bliss.
I decided right then and there (in the bath tub) that I was going to figure out how to make one of these amazing devices, and share it with the world.
I put the idea on the shelf for awhile to focus on other projects, but my interest was reawakened one night as my family and I were watching a YouTube channel called "What's Up Moms". They had a cool bath bomb video (http://bit.ly/WUMBathbombs) that inspired me to try again.
I followed Brooke's instructions perfectly, changing only the color and the amount of water slightly, and to my great satisfaction, this recipe worked perfectly! ..which meant my wife and I enjoyed another bath bomb experience that night.
With Valentines Day quickly approaching, my goal was to come up with a cool project idea that anyone could share with their partner, and be proud of. I wanted a project that was "King of Random Style", but still gentle and elegant enough to make a woman happy, and genuinely excited about her gift as well.
I spent weeks experimenting with different ideas, colors, and molds, and developed ideas ranging from black Bob-ombs and round bath bombs, to sticks of TNT.
Ultimately I settled on a red/pink stick of dynamite, because it looks cool, and turns the water pink as it diffuses.
My wife guided me in my choices of essential oils, based on what she prefers, so the only thing left for me to figure out was how to make the wick useful.
The idea of tying a secret gift, like jewelry, to the end of the string then packing it into the bath bomb during production came to me as I was nearing the end of my prototyping.
My wife loved the idea so much we immediately got on Amazon and picked out a ring she adored, so I could pack it into her "surprise" while filming the video :)

Stranded naked, dehydrated & starving in a vast desert, even the most seasoned ARK survivors must quickly find water, hunt for food, harvest, craft items, and build shelter to have any chance for survival. Use skills honed on ARK's faraway Island to kill, tame, breed, and ride the fantastical new creatures that have evolved to survive the Desert's ultra harsh conditions, including... DRAGONS! Travel back and forth between the Island and the Desert to team up with hundreds of players across both worlds or play locally!
EXPLORE A NEW WORLD
Scorched Earth takes ARK players to an entirely new land, composed of six unique, desert themed biomes – dunes, high desert, mountains, canyons, badlands and oasis – each with their own aesthetic and ecosystem. Littered with ruins, geysers, and intricate ancient cave systems, survivors will find a whole new frontier to explore and master.
TAME NEW CREATURES
The biomes of Scorched Earth are filled with dangerous new creatures, and the intrepid survivor will find that many of them can be tamed. Among others, lead a caravan of the camel-like Morellatops, or rain fire down upon your enemies from the back of an elemental Wyvern. Just mind your step, or you might attract a Death Worm!
CRAFT OVER 50 NEW ITEMS
Using what resources they can scrounge together, survivors can craft distinct new outfits and structures to beat the heat, and new tools to help them survive in this desolate environment. Players can use whips, boomerangs, flamethrowers, chainsaws, and much more to defend themselves, or such things as tents, wells, wind turbines, and oil refineries to provide their bases with resources. When used creatively, these tools can open up whole new strategies for survival, self defense or epic tribal warfare.
CONQUER NEW CHALLENGES
Prepare yourself for dangerous electrical storms, blinding sand storms, befuddling heat stroke, and unleash the power of the mysterious Obelisks to come face-to-face with the ARK’s deadliest boss creature to date – the ferocious Manticore! Does it protect a powerful weapon, a precious relic, or the mysteries of the ARK itself? Only survivors who posses the courage to confront this fearsome beast will learn the truth.
TRAVEL BETWEEN ARKS

Tropical Storm Hermine Moving Off East Coast; Dangerous Storm Surge for Virginia TidewaterHermine will impact coastal North Carolina, Virginia and the Delmarva Peninsula on Saturday.
Dangerous storm surge flooding will occur Saturday along the Virginia Tidewater
High winds and heavy rain will also be a threat in these locations.
Parts of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast coastline will see significant impacts from Hermine after it becomes a potent non-tropical area of low pressure.
Tropical Storm Hermine has more in store for the East Coast after raking through the Southeast.
This is a developing, continuing weather story.
Hermine made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane just east of St. Marks, Florida, at 1:30 a.m. EDT Friday. Hermine was the state's first hurricane landfall since Hurricane Wilma in 2005.

Wind gusts over 40 mph (occasionally 50 mph) continue in parts of eastern North Carolina and southeast Virginia. Here are some of the top wind gust reports from Hermine, so far:
79 mph was reported at an elevation of 115 feet south of Apalachicola with sustained winds of 61 mph late Thursday
76 mph at C-Tower, south of St. George Island, Thursday evening
75 mph early Thursday evening near Indian Shores Beach in western Pinellas County
67 mph in Keaton Beach, Florida
64 mph gusts were reported at Florida State University's football stadium in Tallahassee
62 mph at St. Petersburg's Albert Whitted Airport and near Clearwater Beach on Thursday evening.
59 mph near Folly Island, South Carolina on Friday evening.
58 mph near Dewees Island, South Carolina with sustained winds of 40 mph on Friday afternoon.
54 mph at Shaw Air Force Base.
53 mph in Apalachicola, Florida on Thursday evening and in Brunswick, Georgia on Friday afternoon.
52 mph occurred at Clearwater Beach later Thursday evening, and a 51 mph gust was measured at Cedar Key.
