St. Mungo's may refer to:
Kentigern (Welsh: Cyndeyrn Garthwys; Latin: Kentigernus), known as Mungo, was an apostle of the British Kingdom of Strathclyde in the late 6th century, and the founder and patron saint of the city of Glasgow.
In Wales and England, this saint is known by his birth and baptismal name Kentigern (Welsh: Cyndeyrn). This name probably comes from the British *Cuno-tigernos, which is composed of the elements *cun, a hound, and *tigerno, a lord, prince, or king. The evidence is based on the Old Welsh record Conthigirn(i). Other etymologies have been suggested, including British *Kintu-tigernos 'chief prince' based on the English form Kentigern, but the Old Welsh form above and Old English Cundiʒeorn do not appear to support this.
Particularly in Scotland, he is known by the pet name Mungo, possibly derived from the Cumbric equivalent of the Welsh: fy nghu 'my dear (one)'. An ancient church in Bromfield is named after him, as are Crosthwaite Parish Church and some other churches in the northern part of Cumberland.
Mungo (also spelled Moungo) may refer to:
Mike Pelanconi, better known under his record name Prince Fatty, is a British sound engineer and record producer.
As a record producer, Pelanconi has worked with a diverse repertoire of artists and labels, from the acid jazz of the 1990s to rock musicians like Graham Coxon (of Blur), reggae legends like Gregory Isaacs and Dub Syndicate, and pop singers such as Lily Allen. Other musicians he has worked with include JD from A Tribe Called Quest, Pharcyde, N'Dea Davenport, Brand New Heavies, Mother Earth, Kula Shaker, The Sugarhill Gang, Little Roy, Adrian Sherwood/ON-U Sound, Lo Fidelity Allstars, Born Jamericans, Luciano, Capleton, Nostalgia 77 and The Skints.
In 2005, the clothing company Stüssy put together a line inspired by the vivid, rootsy styles of Jamaica to commemorate their 25th anniversary, and turned to Pelanconi to create a limited-edition single to complement it. Inspired by the optimistic, laid-back vibe of Jamaica in the early 1970s, Pelanconi created an alter-ego nicknamed "Prince Fatty," meant as a tongue-in-cheek reference to King Tubby. The instrumental track he created for Stussy, "Nina's Dance," song was unexpectedly successful, getting airplay on BBC Radio 1. Following its success, Pelanconi decided to create an album length homage to what he considered one of the most vibrant eras in Jamaican music.
Lincoln Barrington "Sugar" Minott (25 May 1956 – 10 July 2010) was a Jamaican reggae singer, producer and sound-system operator.
After working as a selector on the Sound of Silence Keystone sound system, and then his own Gathering of Youth system, he began his singing career as part of The African Brothers in 1969, along with Tony Tuff and Derrick Howard. The group released several singles in the first half of the 1970s on labels such as Micron and their own Ital label, and were an early example of the Rastafari movement's influence on the Jamaican music scene, taking a clear lead from The Abyssinians. After recording "Mysterious Nature" for producer Rupie Edwards, the group recorded 1974's "No Cup No Broke" for Studio One, breaking up shortly after. Minott then teamed up with the producer Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, as studio apprentice at Dodd's Studio One, working as a singer, guitarist and percussionist, and soon began recording his own singles. Minott developed a talent for writing new songs to fit over existing rhythms (which at the time was common when singers performed live, but rare in the studio), often proving more popular than the original songs, pioneering an approach that would be central to the emerging dancehall style.

Leading Gaelic Games pundit and renowned Barrister Joe Brolly is considering legal action against the hit GAA Comedy Show St Mungo's Luganulk. The former Derry All Ireland winner is unhappy with an impersonation of him in the Show, and feels that the portrayal amounts to a defamation of character, despite clear audience approval. 'I have to protect my reputation so I'll be talking to my (legal) people this evening'. St Mungo's have upcoming Shows - in Ahoghill, Armagh, Ardara, the Ormeau Road and Carryduff - which have now been cast in some doubt, but Mr Brolly insists that his action is 'strictly business'.

This rotoscoped animation created in my 2012 U-Arts Animation ll class was derived from a music video for the group Mungo Jerry of their #1 hit song "In the Summertime". The live action was shot in 1970 by my father's company Record on Film. I used the 16mm film print of the video to load into an Oxberry animation stand camera for the students in the class to rotoscope from. I encouraged them to capture the essence of each frame as quickly as possible and concentrate on filling in as much as possible with their imaginations. Some of the students then brought their scanned drawings into Flash or After Effects in order to add the finishing touches, the rest were captured via istopmotion software. Have you had enough 'Strictly Come Dancing' or white collar boxing events? Well here's something completely different for your GAA club to host and make a few quid this Autumn. Grimes & McKee from screen and stage are currently rehearsing a Comedy Show that is available for bookings. The attached video trailer explains the true-ish story of St Mungo's Luganulk, the worst Gaelic Football team in Ireland, without a single victory in six and a half years. But that is all about to change... The Show will have lots of characters you will recognise from most GAA clubs and it will have plenty of laughs on their impossible journey to the All Ireland Final. You can find out more on Facebook at St Mungo's Luganulk and on Twitter @StMungosGAA or by phone to 07764580477 (UK mobile).
