Silicon Valley is a nickname for the southern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area, which is located in part of the U.S. state of California known as Northern California. It is home to many of the world's largest high-tech corporations, as well as thousands of startup companies. Geographically, it encompasses all of the Santa Clara Valley, the southern half of the San Francisco Peninsula, and southern portions of the East Bay. It includes parts or most of Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, and Alameda County.
The word "valley" refers to the Santa Clara Valley, where the region has traditionally been centered, which includes the city of San Jose and surrounding cities and towns. The word "silicon" originally referred to the large number of silicon chip innovators and manufacturers in the region. The term "Silicon Valley" eventually came to refer to all high tech businesses in the area, and is now generally used as a synecdoche for the American high-technology economic sector. It also became a global synonym for leading high-tech research and enterprises, and thus inspired similar named locations, as well as research parks and technology centers with a comparable structure all around the world.
Kris Kross formed in the early 1990s, consisting of James Christopher "Mac Daddy" or "Miggida Miggida Mac" Kelly (August 11, 1978 – May 1, 2013) and Christopher "Daddy Mac" Smith (born January 10, 1979). The duo hit worldwide status with the smash 1992 "Jump", which was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and certified double platinum as a single. The duo followed up with many more platinum, gold singles and albums such as "Warm It Up", "Tonight's tha Night" and "Young, Rich & Dangerous". Kris Kross was also noted for their fashion style, which consisted of wearing their clothing backwards. James Christopher Kelly and Christopher Smith's friendship began in first grade. The duo was discovered at an Atlanta shopping mall in 1991 by then 19-year-old Jermaine Dupri.

Cheating in video games involves a video game player using non-standard methods to create an advantage or disadvantage beyond normal gameplay, in order to make the game easier or harder. Cheats may be activated from within the game itself (a cheat code implemented by the original game developers), or created by third-party software (a game trainer) or hardware (a cheat cartridge). They can also be realised by exploiting software bugs, but if it is really cheating is also matter of common knowledge. Software bugs are very often considered software features and as long as they are common knowledge, it is questionable whether it is cheating.
Cheating in video games has existed for almost their entire history. The first cheat codes were put in place for play testing purposes. Playtesters had to rigorously test the mechanics of a game and introduced cheat codes to make this process easier. An early cheat code can be found in Manic Miner, where typing "6031769" (based on Matthew Smith's driving licence) enables the cheat mode. An early trainer for a game was for Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord (1981); within months of its release at least two commercial products appeared. 1983 advertisements for "The Great Escape Utility", a similar product for Castle Wolfenstein (1981), promised that the $15 product "remodels every feature of the game. Stop startup delays, crashes and chest waiting. Get any item, in any quantity. Start in any room, at any rank. Handicap your aim. Even add items".
A software developer is a person concerned with facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, and testing of computer software. Some notable software developers include Peter Norton (developer of Norton Utilities), Richard Garriott (Ultima-series creator), and Philippe Kahn (Borland key founder), all of whom started as entrepreneurial individuals or small-team software developers.
Other names which are often used in the same close context are programmer, software analyst, and software engineer. According to developer Eric Sink, the differences between system design, software development and programming are more apparent. Already in the current market place there can be found a segregation between programmers and developers, being that one who implements is not the same as the one who designs the class structure or hierarchy. Even more so that developers become systems architects, those who design the multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large software system. Aviacode, Coding Network; if you go to their websites and see what specialties they’re looking for, like, I think Aviacode right now is looking for cardiology coders so then I would focus on getting proficient at cardiology coding and you can do that. If you do our Medical Coding Practicum with Practicode and you get to pick which module will you work on and if you pick the cardiology module and you get proficient at it – and proficiency is speed and accuracy and the system tracks it for you. We woke up early to do a little tour in Silicon Valley with our rented convertible... but got pretty lost. Also, it was impossible to find parking space around Google or Apple, and Apple Headquarter's merch store was closed for refurbishment. Not our best day. But fear not, after the disappointment we visited the cool NASA Ames Research Center museum (which also had a closed merch store), and stuffed ourselves at Sam Clam Chowder, Half Moon Bay. Highly recommended. The glittery sand beach and wild seal watching was a bonus for the location! On our way back to San Francisco we saw some pretty stunning landscapes as well. Good memories overall :)

San Jose is the third-largest city in California, the tenth-largest in the United States, and the county seat of Santa Clara County. San Jose is the largest city within Silicon Valley, which is a major component of the greater San Francisco Bay Area. It is the largest city in Northern California. San Jose was founded on November 29, 1777, as El Pueblo de San José de Guadalupe, the first civilian town in the Spanish colony of Nueva California. The city served as a farming community to support Spanish military installations at San Francisco and Monterey. When California gained statehood in 1850, San Jose served as its first capital. Which Credential Is The Best After CPC? | Medical Coding Advice http://www.cco.us/medical-coding-certification-review-videos-yt A: Let’s go through a thought process of what you want to talk to yourself about if you want to get a credential after the CPC. The first thing that I like to tell people is to remind them the CPC is a core credential. The AAPC has core credentials and specialty credentials. There’s more than one core credential, but actually the CPC is probably the gold standard, the most widely recognized of all the credentials that the AAPC has. You’ll find people that are CPCs doing all types of coding work –outpatient, inpatient, and specialties because it’s a core credential. So, it’s a great place to start if you’re not sure where to start, we usually advise that you star...
The Codes - History Documentary Films. In communications and also information handling, code is system of policies to convert details-- such as a letter, word, image, action, or sound-- into one more, often reduced or secret, type or representation for communication through a stations or storage space in a medium. Speech limits the range of communication to the range a voice could lug, as well as restricts the audience to those existing when the speech is said. The process of encoding converts details from a source right into signs for communication or storage space. Translating is the reverse procedure, transforming code symbols back into a kind that the recipient comprehends. One factor for coding is to make it possible for interaction in position where common plain language, spoken o...

However, in a MOOC setting where everyone is going at their own pace, that’s not an option—so therefore we’ve created a separate “Vgg16BN” class for you to use if you want to use the version with batchnorm (which we highly recommend). Next up, we return to collaborative filtering, and find that we can quickly and easily build models that dramatically surpass all benchmarks that a quick bit of Googling turns up. We then turn our attention to visualizing the latent ...

BUILDING RNNS This lesson starts by introducing a new tool, the MixIterator, which will (finally!) allow us to fully implement the pseudo-labeling technique we learnt a couple of lessons ago. This tool allows us to improve our best MNIST model even further, well into the top 5 on the ‘academic leaderboard’. We then look again at embeddings, using a spreadsheet to show how they really work “behind the scenes”. We look both at embeddings for collaborative filterings, as well as embeddings for NLP. After these shorter topics, we’re ready to get to today’s main event: building RNNs. We look at a variety of different models for RNNs, and create each one from scratch using basic keras building blocks. Finally, we look at Theano for the first time, the library that keras is using to actually ...
How did our industry start, what paths did it take to get to where we are, and where is it going. What big problems did programmers encounter in the past? How were they solved? And how do those solutions impact our future? What mistakes have we made as a profession; and how are we going to correct them. In this talk, Uncle Bob describes the history of software, from it’s beginnings in 1948 up through the current day; and then beyond. By looking at our past trajectory, we try to plot out where our profession is headed, and what challenges we’ll face along the way. Robert C. Martin (Uncle Bob) has been a programmer since 1970. He is the Master Craftsman at 8th Light inc, an acclaimed speaker at conferences worldwide, and the author of many books including: The Clean Coder, Clean Code, Agile...
Deep learning has generally been associated with unstructured data such as images, language, and audio. However it turns out that the structured data found in the columns of a database table or spreadsheet, where the columns can each represent different types of information in different ways (e.g. sales in dollars, area as zip code, product id, etc), can also be used very effectively by a neural network. This is equally true if the data can be represented as a time series (i.e. the rows represent different times or time periods). In particular, what we learnt in part 1 about embeddings can be used not just for collaborative filtering and word encodings, but also for arbitrary categorical variables representing products, places, channels, and so forth. This has been highlighted by the resu...
