Doha (Arabic: الدوحة, ad-Dawḥa or ad-Dōḥa, literally: "the big tree") is the capital city of Qatar and is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, it had a population of 1,312,947 in 2013. Doha is Qatar's largest city, with over 60% of the nation's population residing in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, and is also the economic centre of the country. It is also one of the municipalities of Qatar.
Doha also serves as the seat of government of Qatar. Doha is home to the Education City, an area devoted to research and education. Doha was the site of the first ministerial-level meeting of the Doha Development Round of World Trade Organization negotiations. The city of Doha held the 2006 Asian Games, the largest of the series held to that time.[citation needed] Doha also hosted the 2011 Pan Arab Games and most of the games at the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. Doha hosted the UNFCCC Climate Negotiations (COP 18) December 2012 and will host a large number of the venues for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The World Petroleum Council held the 20th World Petroleum Conference in Doha in December 2011

During the trip to Vietnam, we have a connection in Doha Qatar and a waiting time of about 6-7 hours. We chose to take a tour of about three hours from the city of Doha and surrounding area.
We leave the airport for heading to the Fanar Qatar Islamic Cultural Center and we visited Souq Waqif and after we have a tour of Doha and Qatar Katara Cultural Village with his visual art gallery, its magnificent acoustics amphitheater and we finished our visit to Porto Arabia Carousel with all the luxury of the place and other a Ferrari showroom.
Lors du voyage vers le Vietnam , nous avions une connection à Doha Qatar et un temps d'attente d'environ 6-7 heures . Nous avons choisi de faire une visite d'environ 3 heures de la ville de Doha et les environs. Nous avons quitter l'aéroport pour ce diriger vers le centre culturel islamique Fanar Qatar et nous avons visité Souq Waqif et après nous avons une tournée de Doha et du village culturel de Katara Qatar avec sa galerie d'art visuel , son magnifique amphitéatre acoustique et nous avons terminé notre visite au Porto Arabia Carousel avec tout le luxe de la place et autre un show room de Ferrari.

Spent a day in Doha, i recommend you do visit it. i went to one of the richest place in Doha and got to meet and make a new friend. went to Ferrari show room but could not film much as it is not allowed. add Alex on Snapchat, he will guide you with body building, nutrition, diets and etc

Doha city tour , Qatar - Memories from Doha, Qatar
Doha, the capital of Qatar, used to be a small fishing and diving village. It’s now Qatar’s largest city with skyscrapers and a fast-growing urban area. The vast majority of Qatar’s population lives in metropolitan Doha. The name "Doha" may have originated from the Arabic Ad-Dawḥa, "the big tree". Doha has two faces. In futuristic West Bay, each new skyscraper jostles for kudos within a landscape of statement buildings, where happening bars live in five-star, multinational hotels. On the other side, the romantic Souq Waqif's cobbled lanes lead into tiny stores selling spices, gold, Arabian perfumes, camels and Qataris' beloved falcons. On Friday evenings, local musicians and singers gather in the market's centre to jam, Bedouin-style. There is some serious architectural prowess on display, like the Museum of Islamic Art designed by noted architect IM Pei. Head inside to view priceless Islamic art that spans 1,400 years and three continents.

Its sole land border is with Saudi Arabia to the south, with the rest of its territory surrounded by the Persian Gulf. A strait in the Persian Gulf separates Qatar from the nearby island of Bahrain, as well as sharing sea borders with the United Arab Emirates and Iran.
Following Ottoman rule, Qatar became a British protectorate in the early 20th century until gaining independence in 1971. Qatar has been ruled by the Al Thani family since the mid-19th century. Qatar is a hereditary constitutional monarchy and its head of state is Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The constitution was overwhelmingly approved in a constitutional referendum, with almost 98% in favour. In 2013, Qatar's total population was 1.8 million: 278,000 Qatari citizens and 1.5 million expatriates. After Saudi Arabia and Oman, Qatar is the most conservative society in the Gulf Cooperation Council.

During the trip to Vietnam, we have a connection in Doha Qatar and a waiting time of about 6-7 hours. We chose to take a tour of about three hours from the city of Doha and surrounding area.
We leave the airport for heading to the Fanar Qatar Islamic Cultural Center and we visited Souq Waqif and after we have a tour of Doha and Qatar Katara Cultural Village with his visual art gallery, its magnificent acoustics amphitheater and we finished our visit to Porto Arabia Carousel with all the luxury of the place and other a Ferrari showroom.

Nous avons choisi de faire une visite d'environ 3 heures de la ville de Doha et les environs. Doha, the capital of Qatar, used to be a small fishing and diving village. It’s now Qatar’s largest city with skyscrapers and a fast-growing urban area. The vast majority of Qatar’s population lives in metropolitan Doha. The name "Doha" may have originated from the Arabic Ad-Dawḥa, "the big tree". Doha has two faces. In futuristic West Bay, each new skyscraper jostles for kudos within a landscape of statement buildings, where happening bars live in five-star, multinational hotels. On the other side, the romantic Souq Waqif's cobbled lanes lead into tiny stores selling spices, gold, Arabian perfumes, camels and Qataris' beloved falcons. On Friday evenings, local musicians and singers gather in the market's centre to jam, Bedouin-style. There is some serious architectural prowess on display, like the Museum of Islamic Art designed by noted architect IM Pei. Head inside to view priceless Islamic art that spans 1,400 years and three continents.

01. Museum of Islamic Art
A museum located on the Corniche. The iconic building was designed by architect I. M. Pei. Represents Islamic art from three continents over 1,400 years. Influenced by ancient Islamic architecture, yet has a unique design.
02. Souq Waqif
A souq. Transliterated to "the standing market," the souq is noted for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. Also home to dozens of restaurants and Shisha lounges. Was renovated in 2006 to conserve its traditional architectural style.
03. Doha Corniche
A waterfront promenade extending for several kilometers along Doha Bay. Used to be an empty stretch of walkway in which the only visible edifice was a Sheraton Hotel, but development has increased in the 21st century with dozens of skyscrapers being built towards the north of the Corniche.
04. The Pearl-Qatar
An artificial island spanning nearly four million square metres. It is the first land in Qatar to be available for freehold ownership by foreign nationals. The name "The Pearl" was chosen because the island is being built on one of Qatar's previous major pearl diving sites.
05. Villaggio Mall
A shopping mall located in the Aspire Zone. Inside, the interiors are Italianate-themed both as an Italian hill town, but also with a 150-meter long indoor canal with gondolas. Has over 200 stores, including many famous brands in the U.S., U.K., Italian and German markets.
06. Barzan Towers
Aso known as the Umm Salal Mohammed Fort Towers, are watchtowers that were built in the late 19th century and renovated in 1910 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim Al Thani. The towers measure 16 metres (52.49 ft) high. The fort links to two other fortified buildings towards the west and another tower towards the north.
07. Aspire Tower
Also known as The Torch Doha, is a 300-metre-tall (980 ft) skyscraper hotel located in the Aspire Zone complex. Served as the focal point for the 15th Asian Games hosted by Qatar in December 2006. Currently the tallest structure and building in Doha and Qatar.
08. Qatar Motor Show
An annual international motor show. Held each January at the Doha Exhibitions Centre. Features new models as well as supercars, concept cars, custom cars from style centers and automotive designers. Outdoor demonstrations of motocross and drifting are featured as well as test driving.
09. Al Bidda
A neighborhood of Doha. It was previously the largest town in Qatar in the 19th century. Was incorporated as a district in the Doha municipality in the late 20th century.
10. Doha Golf Club
An 18-hole, 7,374-yard, par 72 championship course that was designed by Peter Harradine. One of the first grass golf course ever built in the Middle East. Open to nonmembers, it has a 2 808 yards long floodlit nine-hole academy course, and a clubhouse with three restaurants and a golf shop.

In Qatar, 4000 workers will die to put on the 2022 Football World Cup. This staggering figure indicates the slave-like conditions workers of football's most expensive construction are enduring.
Workers won’t speak out for fear of being fired, but for some, hopelessness outweighs the fear. Qatarian workers building in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup are forced into long hours on the side of roads or inside factories in the sweltering heat. Their living situations are just as trying: “We have been here for 2 months. And for 2 months we haven’t been given beds.” These workers entered into pseudo slavery due the loans they took to travel that they can’t afford to pay back, as the hope of the income they were promised was a lie. They can’t return home, and if they’re sick “the company cut [their] salary for going to the hospital”. Infocus take an inside look at the conditions of these impoverished and undervalued workers that risk overworking to the point of death, for fear of unemployment.
