KEES
KEES (1430 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Urban Gospel format. Licensed to Gladewater, Texas. The station serves the Longview-Marshall area and is currently owned by Salt of the Earth Broadcasting and features programming of Urban Gospel music and teachings.
History
1430 signed on the air in 1947. It was assigned the call sign KSIJ and had a power of 500 watts. In the 1950s KSIJ had a top 40/Country format that featured the station manager and program director, Tom Perryman. Thanks to Tom, KSIJ became the first station in Texas to have Elvis Presley on the air. Due to the geographic location of Gladewater and KSIJ Tom was able to get new up-and-comers from The Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport as well as the performers from the Reo Palm Isle Club in Longview. Tom brought Elvis, Willie Nelson, Ray Price, Jim Reeves, Floyd Cramer, and Johnny Horton to the station on the air and had the station promote and arrange their concerts. Tom Perryman built KSIJ into the top station in Gregg County due to his hard work and influence in the music business. Tom Perryman later went to WSM and the Grand Ole Opry, then to KGRI Henderson, Texas, and is now on KKUS 104.1 the Ranch in Tyler, Texas.

The Pillow Book
The Pillow Book (枕草子, Makura no Sōshi) is a book of observations and musings recorded by Sei Shōnagon during her time as court lady to Empress Consort Teishi (定子) during the 990s and early 1000s in Heian Japan. The book was completed in the year 1002.
In it she included lists of all kinds, personal thoughts, interesting events in court, poetry, and some opinions on her contemporaries. While it is mostly a personal work, Shōnagon's writing and poetic skill makes it interesting as a work of literature, and it is valuable as a historical document. Part of it was revealed to the Court by accident during Shōnagon's life. The book was first translated into English in 1889 by T. Purcell and W. G. Aston. Other notable English translations were by Arthur Waley in 1928, Ivan Morris in 1967, and Meredith McKinney in 2006.
Overview
Starting with the "exhaustiveness" of the "collection of similar things" and how it is represented by "as for worms", "as for the flowers of trees", "awful things", and "things of beauty", author Sei Shōnagon’s "Ramblings" observed the nature of everyday life and the four seasons, and described in diverse sentences "her recollections" (her diary) that look back at the society of the imperial court surrounding Empress Teishi whom she served, among other things.

Irma Achten
Irma Achten (born 1956 in Haarlem, Netherlands) is a Dutch film maker and writer.
Biography
Achten studied German and attended Drama School in Amsterdam. She received a 5-year award from the Nederlands Stimuleringsfonds for film in order to write scenarios. These resulted in several short movies, and three features she directed, were produced by Kasander Films.
Her films include Und Morgen wird die Sonne wieder scheinen, Canzonetta, Belle, and Marie Antoinette is niet dood (nominated for the Tiger Award and winner of the Audience Award at the Riga Film Festival) and Babs, starring the comedian Brigitte Kaandorp.
Achten's song "Was hast du mit meinem Herz getan" from the movie Marie Antoinette is niet dood, has become the cult outro for the German heavy metal band, Rammstein.
Achten also wrote the libretti for the operas God's Videotheek, and The Grief of Gravity, and scenarios for the opera films Samson et Dalila, Donna Giovanna and Rigoletto.

Peter Greenaway
Peter Greenaway, CBE (born 5 April 1942) is a British film director. His films are noted for the distinct influence of Renaissance and Baroque painting, and Flemish painting in particular. Common traits in his film are the scenic composition and illumination and the contrasts of costume and nudity, nature and architecture, furniture and people, sexual pleasure and painful death.
Early life
Greenaway was born in Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales, to a teacher mother and a builder's merchant father. Greenaway's family left South Wales when he was three years old (they had moved there originally to avoid the Blitz) and settled in Chingford, Essex, England. He attended Forest School in North-East London. At an early age Greenaway decided on becoming a painter. He became interested in European cinema, focusing first on the films of Ingmar Bergman, and then on the French nouvelle vague filmmakers such as Jean-Luc Godard and, most especially, Alain Resnais.

Vivian Wu
Vivian Wu (simplified Chinese: 邬君梅; traditional Chinese: 鄔君梅; pinyin: Wū Jūnméi; born February 5, 1966), is a Chinese actress, known for her roles in The Last Emperor (1987), Heaven & Earth (1993), The Joy Luck Club (1993), and The Pillow Book (1996) and as the historical figure of Soong Mei-ling, commonly referred to as Madam Chiang Kai-shek, in The Soong Sisters (1997 film) and The Founding of a Republic (2009 film) and Departed Heroes (2011 TV series).
Early life
Wu began acting at the age of fifteen in Shanghai Film Studio. In 1987, she attended the Hawaii Pacific University, studying tourism.
Career
Wu made her first film appearance in 1987, as Wenxiu in Bernardo Bertolucci's The Last Emperor. She later appeared in the poorly received The Guyver, alongside Mark Hamill. She gained some critical acclaim, after appearing in The Joy Luck Club (1993), and The Pillow Book (1996), as Nagiko, a Japanese model, alongside Ewan McGregor. Beside films, she has also worked in television, making guest appearances in shows, such as The Untouchables, L.A. Law, Tales from the Crypt, Highlander: The Series, JAG, Murder, She Wrote, F/X: The Series, ER, and Ghost Whisperer. She also starred in the live action video game Supreme Warrior (1994). As May–Lin Eng in Eve and the Fire Horse (2005), Wu gained an Genie Award nomination. She also appeared in the Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb as Mei Ying.

FILM DESCRIPTION: Peter Greenaway directed this elliptical and visually intricate tale of the far side of erotic and intellectual attraction. As a girl, Nagiko would receive a special gift each year from her father: a calligrapher (Ken Ogata) who would carefully paint a poem on her face, as her aunt (Hideko Yoshida) read aloud from The Pillow Book, a classic Japanese text on the art of love. As Nagiko (Vivian Wu) reached adulthood, her father insisted on putting a stop to this ritual, and he persuaded her to marry the nephew of his publisher (Ken Mitsuishi). But Nagiko is not satisfied with her husband, and after finding success as a model, she seeks a lover who will indulge her fondness for literature by writing verse on her naked body.
