Transcription: [DP] My name is Deborah Marsters Parrott, and my mother was Shirley Elizabeth White, and her nother was Alice Rita Hayes, and her mother was Jennie, or Jennie May Cochran. [LN] OK! [DP] You called her Jennie B., but we knew her as a different name, and then her mother was the Rebecca, er, Rachel Moody Cochran. [LN] Yes! And Rachel Moody Cochran married David Rankin Cochran, that's right. [DP] So that's our common ancestor, David Rankin Cochran. [LN] Yes, our common ancestor is David Rankin Cochran [SF] But his mother was a Lyons, right? [DP] Which one, David Rankin? [LN] Yeah. [DP] See, I don't know that side. I've got my mother's. [SF] Do you have that? [LN] I do. [SF] She was a Lyons, right? [DP] Yeah. [SF] And I'm related to the Lyonses. [DP] OK. [SF] Because Enoch Parker's wife was a Lyons. [LN] OK. [DP] Yeah, and here was her parents, David Rankin and Rachel Rebecca Moody, and then, and they only go up to Hugh Cochran. [LN] And now look, here we go. See, there's Fred, and Dot. [CW] Oh! [SF] And there's Winnie, right there. [DP] Yes, Winnie KInsman. [LN] Yup, that makes sense. [SF] She died, she was 103. [DP] Wow, long lived, lovely woman. Beautiful woman. She was a first cousin to my grandmother Alice Rita. [LN] Well, Rob's tree is up on Ancestry, so we both have all of this on Ancestry. [CW] Do you do Ancestry? [DP] No, I haven't joined Ancestry.com. I used my free membership once to do a lot of research, but, yeah. [DP] So, the only thing that I had, other than that, was this shawl came from my grandmother White, and this belonged to Rebecca Moody Cochran. [LN] Oh, wow. [DP] It's a black silk shawl that's a big square piece of fabric. [CW] My hands are dirty, I don't want to touch it, but it's beautiful. [DP] So, that's something. My grandmother kept a couple of pieces of clothing.
