Taxi driver attacked in south Auckland shopping centre carpark

Police are asking the public for help in identifying these three men who assaulted the taxi driver.

A taxi driver was hospitalised after being assaulted by three men in a south Auckland carpark.

The trio got into the taxi, which was parked in the Southmall carpark in Manurewa, around midnight on April 18. 

They then assaulted the driver, kicking him in the torso and punching him in the face. He managed to escape, and was taken to hospital by police. 

The attack was caught on the taxi's camera.

Police released CCTV images on Thursday in the hopes of identifying the men involved.
