At first dad-of-two Brad Kearns was annoyed his wife constantly tagged him in Facebook posts, but he soon realised it was an awesome way to reconnect with each other.

The Aussie blogger behind DaDMuM wrote a Facebook post about his thoughts on tagging your partner in posts and it went viral.

"Everyday she tags me in stuff on Facbook. Everyday. Like several times a day," he wrote.

"I used to find it annoying.

"But over time I've learned that she tags me in sh*t because it's either funny, insightful or relevant to us and our relationship.

"I try to make a point of acknowledging it. It doesn't take any effort at all."

He encourages other men to take notice of what their partners are trying to tell them.

"Whatever message she was trying to send him was rejected because of sheer arrogance and inability to take a few f***ing seconds to read something that was probably important to how she was feeling.

"Read the post. Just f***ing read it. Show her you love her. Let her know you care. Read the f***ing post."

And it struck a nerve with 12,000 people reading the post and nearly 3,000 sharing it. Many of the comments are people tagging their partners, luckily for most they do reply.

Unsurprisingly, there was someone who was quick to judge one of the other commentating couples. So, Brad wrote another Facebook post in response.

"To the gentleman who commented on my post yesterday," he wrote.

"Relationships aren't like the movies. They're not a romance novel.

"They're just two people, riding the wave of life in this f***ed up world we live in.

"Two people trying their best for each other, even if it sometimes doesn't show. Two people who care for each other's feeling, even if it accidentally comes out wrong. Two people who can bicker all day, but could never dream of being apart.

"Most of all they're just two people who sometimes struggle to communicate.

"They wouldn't be together if they didn't want to be. So don't judge them."

He ended it with one last observation.

"One last thing… I looked at your profile and I couldn't help but notice you were single…"
