So, we’ve been waiting for it for decades now. We’ve watched all the movies and TV shows we could get our hands on, read all the books and played the related levels in video games – we’ve even seen what would happen if the plants rose up to fight the zombies. Yes, of course we are talking about the Zombie Apocalypse. All over the world, doomsday preppers have their escape plans ready, fuel and food stockpiled and contact information updated. Sure, you may be the type to laugh at all this because, let’s face it, there probably will never be a zombie apocalypse, right? You never know, but when a ghoul’s chomping down on your brains don’t say we didn’t warn you.
What if your plan involves sitting tight and riding out the wave of the undead? Not a problem. A quick look around the real-estate listings shows that there are a ton of places that are either purpose-built to be zombie proof or are just plain fortress-like to begin with. Of course, having a zombie-proof home often requires a fair bit of cash. After all, moats, draw-bridges, concrete walls and underground bunkers can all add up on the credit card bill pretty fast. These following zombie proof homes are all pretty pricey and we’re thinking only the richest doomsday prepper will be able to afford both the purchase price and likely upkeep costs associated with keeping the defences ready. Sure there are cheaper alternatives – but would you really want to be trapped in a standard bungalow when a swarm of rotting corpses comes for you? Didn’t think so.

Rain is falling on the roof of Dona Alba's, and there is no way you can understand your own words anymore. The ribbed roof intensifies the sound of raindrops, and the cold penetrates even the thickest of blankets.
Dona Alba lives in a shanty, located in the far south of the capital of Colombia. She lives beneath a perforated roof, together with her father, mother, husband, and a deaf-mute son.
Her father and husband are both seriously ill, and cannot leave their bed very often. One week in September, young volunteers from Techo came from the north of Bogota, the richest sector of the city, to the shanty town called "Paradise", to build a decent roof for the family. Most of the volunteers study at very expensive, private universities, but here, they get dirty and build an emergency house in two days. The new shelter is built on stilts, in order to resist the water from above, and below. The way the house is built, gives it a better protection against cold, and provides a better residence for the family.
The results of this work won't last for eternity, though.

Marianne Hettinger is a German-American film director, writer, actor and dancer.
Having come to New York from Germany at the age of 19 with only $800 in her pocket, Marianne Hettinger had to learn how to make it on her own in The Big Apple. Being a filmmaker, actress, and dancer, Hettinger has had the chance to meet some interesting people, both famous and not so famous, and as a member of the National Board of Review, had the privilege to interview actors and directors like Dustin Hoffman, Neil Jordan, Terrence Howard, Glen Hansard and Jodi Foster. All of those experiences led her to start up a new video talk show, “Hallo New York”, in 2013 that pays tribute to both her home country and the city she now calls home. Some of the initial interviews include German singer/actress Ute Lemper, and former CEO of CDV Software, Germany’s biggest computer and videogame company, Wolfgang Gaebler.
She wrote, produced and directed her first feature film "Mango Tango" (2009), which won her "Best Director" at the Detroit Independent Film Festival in 2010. and was screened at the "Celebrate Tango Festival" in New York City 2010.

Buenos Aires (/ˈbweɪnəs ˈɛəriːz/ or /ˈaɪrɪs/,Spanish: [ˈbwenos ˈaiɾes]) is the capital and largest city of Argentina, and the second-largest metropolitan area in South America. The city limits were enlarged to include the towns of Belgrano and Flores; both are now neighborhoods of the city. The 1994 constitutional amendment granted the city autonomy, hence its formal name: Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires). Its citizens first elected a chief of government (i.e. mayor) in 1996; before, the mayor was directly appointed by the President of the Republic.

Rain is falling on the roof of Dona Alba's, and there is no way you can understand your own words anymore. The ribbed roof intensifies the sound of raindrops, and the cold penetrates even the thickest of blankets. Dona Alba lives in a shanty, located in the far south of the capital of Colombia. She lives beneath a perforated roof, together with her father, mother, husband, and a deaf-mute son. Her father and husband are both seriously ill, and cannot leave their bed very often. One week in September, young volunteers from Techo came from the north of Bogota, the richest sector of the city, to the shanty town called "Paradise", to build a decent roof for the family. Most of the volunteers study at very expensive, private universities, but here, they get dirty and build an emergency house in two days. The new shelter is built on stilts, in order to resist the water from above, and below. The way the house is built, gives it a better protection against cold, and provides a better residence for the family. The results of this work won't last for eternity, though. So, we’ve been waiting for it for decades now. We’ve watched all the movies and TV shows we could get our hands on, read all the books and played the related levels in video games – we’ve even seen what would happen if the plants rose up to fight the zombies. Yes, of course we are talking about the Zombie Apocalypse. All over the world, doomsday preppers have their escape plans ready, fuel and food stockpiled and contact information updated. Sure, you may be the type to laugh at all this because, let’s face it, there probably will never be a zombie apocalypse, right? You never know, but when a ghoul’s chomping down on your brains don’t say we didn’t warn you.
What if your plan involves sitting tight and riding out the wave of the undead? Not a problem. A quick look around the real-estate listings shows that there are a ton of places that are either purpose-built to be zombie proof or are just plain fortress-like to begin with. Of course, having a zombie-proof home often requires a fair bit of cash. After all, moats, draw-bridges, concrete walls and underground bunkers can all add up on the credit card bill pretty fast. These following zombie proof homes are all pretty pricey and we’re thinking only the richest doomsday prepper will be able to afford both the purchase price and likely upkeep costs associated with keeping the defences ready. Sure there are cheaper alternatives – but would you really want to be trapped in a standard bungalow when a swarm of rotting corpses comes for you? Didn’t think so.

Dona Alba lives in a shanty, located in the far south of the capital of Colombia. She lives beneath a perforated roof, together with her father, mother, husband, and a deaf-mute son.
Her father and husband are both seriously ill, and cannot leave their bed very often. One week in September, young volunteers from Techo came from the north of Bogota, the richest sector of the city, to the shanty town called "Paradise", to build a decent roof for the family. Most of the volunteers study at very expensive, private universities, but here, they get dirty and build an emergency house in two days. The new shelter is built on stilts, in order to resist the water from above, and below. The way the house is built, gives it a better protection against cold, and provides a better residence for the family.
The results of this work won't last for eternity, though.

The Kingdom of Siam, was for a time, the most powerful in Southeast Asia, and its former capital, Ayutthaya, was in the early sixteenth century one of the largest cities in the world and the richest cities in Asia.
A kingdom where religion has always been part of everyday life. Today, the country has about 40,000 temples and 140,000 Buddhist priests, and Buddhist monks are very revered by people of any age. Religiosity Thailand goes beyond the temples, is also present in the daily life of the people.
In 1939 the Kingdom of Siam was renamed Thailand.

O Reino do Sião, foi durante um período, o mais poderoso do Sudeste Asiático, e a sua antiga capital, Ayutthaya, era, nos inícios do século XVI, uma das maiores cidades do mundo e das mais ricas cidades da Ásia.
Um reino onde a religião fez sempre parte do dia a dia. Hoje o País tem cerca de 40.000 templos e 140.000 sacerdotes budistas, sendo os monges budistas muito reverenciados por pessoas de qualquer idade. A religiosidade da Tailândia vai muito além dos templos, também está presente na vida diária do povo.
Em 1939 o Reino do Sião passou a chamar-se Tailândia.
Algumas impressões deste antigo reino e da sua impressionante religiosidade e unidade étnica e linguística.

We’ve watched all the movies and TV shows we could get our hands on, read all the books and played the related levels in video games – we’ve even seen what would happen if the plants rose up to fight the zombies. Yes, of course we are talking about the Zombie Apocalypse. All over the world, doomsday preppers have their escape plans ready, fuel and food stockpiled and contact information updated. Sure, you may be the type to laugh at all this because, let’s face it, there probably will never be a zombie apocalypse, right? You never know, but when a ghoul’s chomping down on your brains don’t say we didn’t warn you.
What if your plan involves sitting tight and riding out the wave of the undead? Not a problem. A quick look around the real-estate listings shows that there are a ton of places that are either purpose-built to be zombie proof or are just plain fortress-like to begin with. Of course, having a zombie-proof home often requires a fair bit of cash. After all, moats, draw-bridges, concrete walls and underground bunkers can all add up on the credit card bill pretty fast. These following zombie proof homes are all pretty pricey and we’re thinking only the richest doomsday prepper will be able to afford both the purchase price and likely upkeep costs associated with keeping the defences ready. Sure there are cheaper alternatives – but would you really want to be trapped in a standard bungalow when a swarm of rotting corpses comes for you? Didn’t think so.

Rain is falling on the roof of Dona Alba's, and there is no way you can understand your own words anymore. The ribbed roof intensifies the sound of raindrops, and the cold penetrates even the thickest of blankets.
Dona Alba lives in a shanty, located in the far south of the capital of Colombia. She lives beneath a perforated roof, together with her father, mother, husband, and a deaf-mute son.
Her father and husband are both seriously ill, and cannot leave their bed very often. One week in September, young volunteers from Techo came from the north of Bogota, the richest sector of the city, to the shanty town called "Paradise", to build a decent roof for the family. Most of the volunteers study at very expensive, private universities, but here, they get dirty and build an emergency house in two days. The new shelter is built on stilts, in order to resist the water from above, and below. The way the house is built, gives it a better protection against cold, and provides a better residence for the family.
The results of this work won't last for eternity, though.

The Kingdom of Siam, was for a time, the most powerful in Southeast Asia, and its former capital, Ayutthaya, was in the early sixteenth century one of the largest cities in the world and the richest cities in Asia.
A kingdom where religion has always been part of everyday life. Today, the country has about 40,000 temples and 140,000 Buddhist priests, and Buddhist monks are very revered by people of any age. Religiosity Thailand goes beyond the temples, is also present in the daily life of the people.
In 1939 the Kingdom of Siam was renamed Thailand.

O Reino do Sião, foi durante um período, o mais poderoso do Sudeste Asiático, e a sua antiga capital, Ayutthaya, era, nos inícios do século XVI, uma das maiores cidades do mundo e das mais ricas cidades da Ásia.
Um reino onde a religião fez sempre parte do dia a dia. Hoje o País tem cerca de 40.000 templos e 140.000 sacerdotes budistas, sendo os monges budistas muito reverenciados por pessoas de qualquer idade. A religiosidade da Tailândia vai muito além dos templos, também está presente na vida diária do povo.
Em 1939 o Reino do Sião passou a chamar-se Tailândia.

The Kingdom of Siam, was for a time, the most powerful in Southeast Asia, and its former capital, Ayutthaya, was in the early sixteenth century one of the largest cities in the world and the richest cities in Asia.
A kingdom where religion has always been part of everyday life. Today, the country has about 40,000 temples and 140,000 Buddhist priests, and Buddhist monks are very revered by people of any age. Religiosity Thailand goes beyond the temples, is also present in the daily life of the people.
In 1939 the Kingdom of Siam was renamed Thailand.
