This link returns nothing. Some are doubting that this was a "takedown". Go to https://www.channel4.com/news/ and you will be able to find full news stories in video form for weeks and weeks, but the twitter post throwing this video up and the video itself were removed in isolation.
It has been pointed out the entire report still has the segment - probably because editing the entire segment would look very bad. It is clear, however, that the clip in its isolation as an independent news story was removed. Could be for a few reasons. I assume the shirt, general tone of the interview -OR- the title "Muslim Community has done nothing wrong" (it editorializes a great deal)

The following statement was released by Channel 4: they changed the name of the report and admitted the shirt was why they took it down.
So basically they were willing to censor the news if the shirt didn't fit their narrative.

On Wednesday Channel 4 News broadcast this live debate at a vigil for the Manchester bombing victims.
When it was brought to our attention that the woman being interviewed by Krishnan Guru-Murthy was wearing a gun-themed t-shirt, we removed the online versions to investigate.
We are now satisfied that the intention of that image is to subvert weaponry and is an anti-violence protest t-shirt.
The image was made famous in 2013 when the singer Jennifer Hudson was pictured wearing a very similar design, which spelled out the word “love” in guns and other weapons. She told fans “it’s time to turn all of that into this LOVE”.
In this debate members of the local Muslim community gave their reactions to the bombing and the “backlash”. Among the contributions, several spoke of their devastation and also took the chance to speak out against extremism. It is now available to view online."

Are we all more racist than we realise or would like to admit?
For this Channel 4 documentary Jane Elliott, a controversial former schoolteacher from Iowa, is recreating the shocking exercise she used forty years ago to teach her nine year-old pupils about prejudice.
Elliott is asking thirty adult British volunteers - men and women of different ages and backgrounds - to experience inequality based on their eye colour to show how susceptible we can all be to bigotry, and what it feels like to be on the other side of arbitrary discrimination.
Does Elliott's exercise still have something to teach us four decades on and in a different country? Presented by Krishnan Guru-Murthy, the exercise is observed throughout by two expert psychologists, Prof Dominic Abrams and Dr Funké Baffour, who will be unpicking the behaviour on display.

American Samoa has the highest rates of obesity in the world: up to 93% of people are overweight or obese and one in three have diabetes. Samoa is not far behind. The governments of Samoa and American Samoa are trying to tackle the crisis but both remote Islands are still being flooded with unhealthy processed food from abroad, as well as fatty offcuts of meat that are seen as unfit for human consumption in many other countries.

The new rebrand reflects the Channel’s public service remit focussed on innovation, diversity, and taking creative risks. We took the essence of the iconic Channel 4 logo and found hundreds of ways to re-introduce and animate the famous Lambie Nairn blocks. We created to design a system that was playful, surprising, ever changing and above all colourful. This innovative new direction was the foundation for the Channel’s new Idents Directed by Jonathan Glazer and within the new bespoke font created by globally renowned design agency Brody Associates. Also a massive thanks goes to SQUA and 4Creative who we collaborated very closely with to create this project.

Channel 4
Channel 4 is a British public-service television broadcaster that began transmission on 2 November 1982. Although largely commercially self-funded, it is ultimately publicly owned; originally a subsidiary of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA), the station is now owned and operated by Channel Four Television Corporation, a public body established in 1990, coming into operation in 1993. With the conversion of the Wenvoe transmitter group in Wales to digital on 31 March 2010, Channel 4 became a UK-wide TV channel for the first time.
The channel was established to provide a fourth television service to the United Kingdom in addition to the television licence-funded BBC's two services and the single commercial broadcasting network, ITV.
History
Conception
Before Channel 4 and S4C, Britain had three terrestrial television services: BBC1, BBC2, and ITV. The Broadcasting Act 1980 began the process of adding a fourth, and Channel 4, along with its Welsh counterpart, was formally created by an Act of Parliament in 1982. After some months of test broadcasts, it began scheduled transmissions on 2 November 1982.

About We won a competitive pitch to design and produce a new series of channel idents as part of Kiss TV’s identity refresh. The brief was to conceive a collection of idents that would embody the fresh, edgy and glamorous values of the channel. We delivered 4 in total which we developed and produced entirely in-house. Attitude Each ident explores a specific expression of the attitude and confidence that the Kiss brand embodies and their viewers aspire to. From bold physical Hip-Hop inspired gesticulations, the self-assured strutting of a modern-day diva to the care-free euphoria of being lost in music and the fearless gymnastic energy of today’s urban dancer – these were the expressions of confidence we felt would resonate with the target audience. Aesthetic Our goal was to develop a striking look and feel across the idents that would reinforce the channels progressive values with a nod to the brands heritage. Our starting point was to research and explore styles, motifs, textures and palettes that visually epitomised each of the channels core music genres. We ultimately combined aspects of each with a rich, lustrous and sophisticated feel that would satisfy the forward thinking needs of the channel, while being reflective of their content. Performance With attitude at the core of the idents, authenticity in the characters movement was crucial to the success of each spot. We motion-captured young performers that we felt genuinely embodied the bold attitude, ensuring the movement felt believable and true. We employed the services of E.Motion Capture in West London for the one-day shoot. Music & Sound design The brilliant Zelig Sound were brought on board to compose and produce an individual theme across the idents. -

The new rebrand reflects the Channel’s public service remit focussed on innovation, diversity, and taking creative risks. We took the essence of the iconic Channel 4 logo and found hundreds of ways to re-introduce and animate the famous Lambie Nairn blocks. We created to design a system that was playful, surprising, ever changing and above all colourful. This innovative new direction was the foundation for the Channel’s new Idents Directed by Jonathan Glazer and within the new bespoke font created by globally renowned design agency Brody Associates. Also a massive thanks goes to SQUA and 4Creative who we collaborated very closely with to create this project.

It has been pointed out the entire report still has the segment - probably because editing the entire segment would look very bad. It is clear, however, that the clip in its isolation as an independent news story was removed. Could be for a few reasons. I assume the shirt, general tone of the interview -OR- the title "Muslim Community has done nothing wrong" (it editorializes a great deal)

On Wednesday Channel 4 News broadcast this live debate at a vigil for the Manchester bombing victims.
When it was brought to our attention that the woman being interviewed by Krishnan Guru-Murthy was wearing a gun-themed t-shirt, we removed the online versions to investigate.
We are now satisfied that the intention of that image is to subvert weaponry and is an anti-violence protest t-shirt.
The image was made famous in 2013 when the singer Jennifer Hudson was pictured wearing a very similar design, which spelled out the word “love” in guns and other weapons. She told fans “it’s time to turn all of that into this LOVE”.
In this debate members of the local Muslim community gave their reactions to the bombing and the “backlash”. Among the contributions, several spoke of their devastation and also took the chance to speak out against extremism. It is now available to view online."

The new rebrand reflects the Channel’s public service remit focussed on innovation, diversity, and taking creative risks. We took the essence of the iconic Channel 4 logo and found hundreds of ways to re-introduce and animate the famous Lambie Nairn blocks. We created to design a system that was playful, surprising, ever changing and above all colourful. This innovative new direction was the foundation for the Channel’s new Idents Directed by Jonathan Glazer and within the new bespoke font created by globally renowned design agency Brody Associates. Also a massive thanks goes to SQUA and 4Creative who we collaborated very closely with to create this project.

We won a competitive pitch to design and produce a new series of channel idents as part of Kiss TV’s identity refresh. The brief was to conceive a collection of idents that would embody the fresh, edgy and glamorous values of the channel. We delivered 4 in total which we developed and produced entirely in-house.
Attitude
Each ident explores a specific expression of the attitude and confidence that the Kiss brand embodies and their viewers aspire to.
From bold physical Hip-Hop inspired gesticulations, the self-assured strutting of a modern-day diva to the care-free euphoria of being lost in music and the fearless gymnastic energy of today’s urban dancer – these were the expressions of confidence we felt would resonate with the target audience.
Aesthetic
Our goal was to develop a striking look and feel across the idents that would reinforce the channels progressive values with a nod to the brands heritage.
Our starting point was to research and explore styles, motifs, textures and palettes that visually epitomised each of the channels core music genres. We ultimately combined aspects of each with a rich, lustrous and sophisticated feel that would satisfy the forward thinking needs of the channel, while being reflective of their content.
Performance
With attitude at the core of the idents, authenticity in the characters movement was crucial to the success of each spot.
We motion-captured young performers that we felt genuinely embodied the bold attitude, ensuring the movement felt believable and true.
We employed the services of E.Motion Capture in West London for the one-day shoot.
Music & Sound design
The brilliant Zelig Sound were brought on board to compose and produce an individual theme across the idents.

Commissioned to create the logo, graphic language and Title Sequence for the show, with an original song by singer-songwriter Hannah Peel, Tal takes the viewer on an introspective day-come-night journey through London's familiar, yet multi-faceted panoramas. Utilising his characteristic bold colour schemes and hyper-intricate graphics, he peels onion-skins off street corners, vistas and crowds, and melds them into a distinctive and vibrant digital jigsaw puzzle.

To promote their newly revamped email service, Snowmail, Channel 4 asked us to come up with a way of visualising the idea of encapsulating the news into a small bite-size package. We started thinking of ways we could incorporate this theme into the actual Snowmail icon itself and came up with the idea of literally folding down the website into the shape of the envelope ready to emailed. We wanted the structure and folding mechanism to feel believable so we experimented with real paper models to nail the construct of the homepage, the website needed to fold repeatedly from one scene to another whilst remaining legible before rebuilding everything in 3D. Each member of the news team was then shot against green screen and comped into the scene delivering the script in a continuous thread. Sm...

To promote their newly revamped email service, Snowmail, Channel 4 asked us to come up with a way of visualising the idea of encapsulating the news into a small...
To promote their newly revamped email service, Snowmail, Channel 4 asked us to come up with a way of visualising the idea of encapsulating the news into a small bite-size package.
We started thinking of ways we could incorporate this theme into the actual Snowmail icon itself and came up with the idea of literally folding down the website into the shape of the envelope ready to emailed.
We wanted the structure and folding mechanism to feel believable so we experimented with real paper models to nail the construct of the homepage, the website needed to fold repeatedly from one scene to another whilst remaining legible before rebuilding everything in 3D.
Each member of the news team was then shot against green screen and comped into the scene delivering the script in a continuous thread. Small tweaks were also made to the existing Snowmail icon to simplify its design and bring it closer in-line with the existing C4 icon set.

Channel 4 - Gameboy Ident
Initially I had wanted to do an E4 sting, but I ended up drawn to the Channel 4 ident for various reasons, the main one being the fantastic ‘exploding’ logo which was used inter-broadcast in the late eighties and early nineties. This was one of the first times that I had ever been exposed to obvious, ‘real’ 3D graphics in an everyday setting. Another reason was the channel 4 logo itself; beautiful, angular and timeless – bested only by the ‘more 4’ logo aesthetically. Recently the BBC (mainly BBC three and BBC four) have been showing technology specials. TV shows on the evolution of technology, gaming and the future have been aired, each with their own idents. Twenty-one-year-old beautyholic and drama student Gary Thompson meets 47-year-old Reggie Bibbs from Houston, Texas.
Gary has spent up to £31,000 in the last five years on looking good. He wants to have a nose job and look like Kim Kardashian.
Reggie has one the world's most extreme cases of neurofibromatosis, a condition where tumours grow all over the body.
Gary learns about Reggie's past and how he spent 30 years hiding from other people.
Reggie sends Gary to watch a rhinoplasty operation and he sees a surgeon breaking a patient's nose. He also meets Tammy, a former rhinoplasty patient whose operation went wrong and who now has no sense of smell as a result. Will Reggie persuade Gary not to have a nose job?

Gibbons said: “This was a really interesting turning point. We had befriended somebody who would become an influential associate, a guy named Linden Hudson. He was a gifted songwriter and had production skills that were leading the pack at times. He brought some elements to the forefront that helped reshape what ZZ Top were doing, starting in the studio and eventually to the live stage. Initially I had wanted to do an E4 sting, but I ended up drawn to the Channel 4 ident for various reasons, the main one being the fantastic ‘exploding’ logo which was used inter-broadcast in the late eighties and early nineties. This was one of the first times that I had ever been exposed to obvious, ‘real’ 3D graphics in an everyday setting. Another reason was the channel 4 logo itself; beautiful, angular and timeless – bested only by the ‘more 4’ logo aesthetically.
Recently the BBC (mainly BBC three and BBC four) have been showing technology specials. TV shows on the evolution of technology, gaming and the future have been aired, each with their own idents. For example, three concentric rings of cameras, each from a different period, would spin and whirr as cogs in a system, all around a vintage TV showing the old test-card and the name of the upcoming show.
I decided to try and capture the essence of this whilst still building on the ‘stacked’ nature of the channel 4 logo.
I constructed the Gameboy using block modeling, working in sections from reference and high-resolution photos that I found online. I re-did the screen, changing the dimensions to accommodate the ‘4’ and changing the decals on he model to “Channel 4 ™”.
I rigged the buttons and directional-pad to bend and click correctly and positioned cameras to capture all sides of the model. Some cameras are keyframed to pan and zoom over various parts of the model.
The game screen itself is an alpha’d .png lying under the png of the screens border. All tetris pieces are on separate planes and were manually keyframed. They were all created in photoshop.
The plastic material of the Gameboy’s casing was procedural, while the decals and screen were overlaid on planes to cut down on the modeling and the polygon count of the piece.
The ident was edited and composited in Adobe Premiere and all sounds were obtained from soundsnap.com and youtube.com.
I'm not *all* that happy with it, but I had to adhere to the deadline - this is the result!
