Sagada
Sagada is a fifth class municipality in the province of Mountain Province, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 11,244 people.
It is located 275 kilometres (171 mi) north of Manila (taking at least 12 to 15 hours by bus), 140 kilometres (87 mi) from Baguio, and it is adjacent to Bontoc, the provincial capital.
Sagada is famous for its hanging coffins. This is a traditional way of burying people that is still utilized. Not everyone is qualified to be buried this way; among other things, one had to have been married and had grandchildren.
Popular activities include trekking, exploring both caves and waterfalls, spelunking, bonfires, picnics, rappelling, visiting historical sites, nature hikes, and participating in tribal celebrations. Guides can be found upon registration at the tourist-office in Sagada Proper (the main town) for a small fee.
Geography
Sagada is nestled in a valley at the upper end of the Malitep tributary of the Chico River some one and a half kilometers above sea level in the Central Cordillera Mountains, enveloped between the main Cordillera Ranges and the Ilocos Range. Mount Data in the south and Mount Kalawitan in the southeast pierce the horizon. Mount Polis, Bessang and Mount Tirad in the east, and Mount Sisipitan in the north mark the Mountain Province–Abra boundary.

Greatest hits album
A greatest hits album, sometimes called a "best of" album or a catalog album, is a compilation of songs by a particular artist or band. Most often the track list contains previously released recordings with a high degree of notability. However, to increase the appeal, especially to people who already own the original release, it is common to include remixes and/or alternate takes of popular songs; even new material (previously unreleased). At times a greatest hits compilation is the original release for songs that have themselves been released as a single and charted successfully.

Madonna's The Immaculate Collection is the best selling greatest hits compilation by a solo artist; all of the songs on it are presented in different versions than the original hit versions. The Eagles' Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) is the best selling greatest hits compilation by a group and also one of the ten best selling albums in history. Greatest hits albums are typically produced after an artist has had enough successful songs to fill out an album release. Some artists, such as Mariah Carey, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Kenny Rogers, Aerosmith, Kiss, U2, Dolly Parton, Journey, Los Tigres del Norte, Queen, Kylie Minogue and Billy Joel, have released multiple greatest hits albums through their long careers. Some greatest hits albums are released only at the end of the artist or group's career. For example, My Chemical Romance released a greatest hits album after they disbanded. Other artists, like Eminem have released hits albums in the center of their success. He released Curtain Call: The Hits in 2005 and then Shady XV as a compilation album in 2014.

Road trip: Jollibee breakfast and Baguio City day trip, then arrive in Sagada Mountain province at night for street BBQ & souvenir shop. Rock Inn & Cafe Hotel, we used the loft beds. Echo Valley & The Hanging Coffins. Sumaguing Underground Caving, recommend the longer 3 hour tour, bring a LED flash-light and headlamp. Amazing cave experience with waterfalls inside! Sagada Mountain Province, 12 hrs drive north of Manila. Great hiking, spelunking (caving), and outdoor activities. A few hours travel further and you can see the Banaue Rice Terraces. Sagada is generally cheaper for food, shopping, and you can easily walk around or get a Jeepney / taxi as its a small town. Finally kicked the jet lag and a full day to explore Sagada, Philippines. Road trip: Jollibee breakfast and Baguio City day trip, then arrive in Sagada Mountain province at night for street BBQ & souvenir shop.
Rock Inn & Cafe Hotel, we used the loft beds. Echo Valley & The Hanging Coffins. Sumaguing Underground Caving, recommend the longer 3 hour tour, bring a LED flash-light and headlamp. Amazing cave experience with waterfalls inside! Sagada Mountain Province, 12 hrs drive north of Manila. Great hiking, spelunking (caving), and outdoor activities. A few hours travel further and you can see the Banaue Rice Terraces. Sagada is generally cheaper for food, shopping, and you can easily walk around or get a Jeepney / taxi as its a small town. Being a mountain region the climate is cold for a tropical country, so bring a rain jacket and sweater. Locals can be reserved and softly spoken (compared to Manila) but generally very nice and friendly. B Adventures: Travel Philippines, Season 1, Episode (6/26).

Travel Tips:
Everyone spoke English and generally very friendly.
Its important to have photo ID for flights, hotels, and if police ask.
Its common for taxi drivers in Manila to try rip you off. Ask them nicely to put the meter on, or negotiate the price from the start if you know what it costs to your location. Otherwise find another taxi!
Shopping mall culture, locals love the mall for the aircon and to get out of the heat.
Locals often inflate prices for foreigners and tourists. Haggle and negotiate nicely. Be tough, but be respectful and polite about it. Shop around, you can often get a better price.
"Tip" can also mean bribe, so don't be afraid to ask what you're paying for upfront. Locals often do things to try help you, but then expect a tip.
The average basic worker earns PHP 300 a day. So tipping PHP 20 - 50 is fine.

Finally kicked the jet lag and a full day to explore Sagada, Philippines.

I'm still here in Sagada, Philippines and have kicked the jet lag I had in the last episode. Unfortunately, I couldn't kick this fog. I swear, how many of my 2017 vlog episodes have I been fighting the weather on? I think the weather gods are a little bit out to get me. In Sagada, the day started out pretty nice. I headed to the Hanging Coffins which really is the most popular sight in town. The Sagada Hanging Coffins are quite ancient and really an interesting sight. To get into the area where the coffins are, you need a guide.
After leaving the hanging coffins and my guide, I headed towards the small waterfalls in Sagada. Bokong Falls are found just a short walk from town, a quick wander through some rice terraces and the landscape. It was so beautiful in there I couldn't resist to fly my drone. If the weather was a bit better, I'd definitely be doing more drone work in Sagada, but I'm always a little bit nervous with the ever-hanging rains. After the drone flight, I make it to Bokong Falls and grabbed some photos.
The weather wasn't great for the rest of the day, but I decided to push up Kiltepan peak for sunset. Most people do Kiltepan for sunrise, but I thought that I'd give it a shot in the afternoon when it was quieter. And, it was quiet. There was no one there at all. But, of course, it was for good reason as the weather was abysmal and there was so much fog you couldn't see the view.
So, I called it a night. Another 2017 Philippines vlog from me, and there will be more. I have another 26 days left in the Philippines. See you again in the morning from Sagada.

Most people do Kiltepan for sunrise, but I thought that I'd give it a shot in the afternoon when it was quieter. And, it was quiet. There was no one there at all. But, of course, it was for good reason as the weather was abysmal and there was so much fog you couldn't see the view.
So, I called it a night. Another 2017 Philippines vlog from me, and there will be more. I have another 26 days left in the Philippines. See you again in the morning from Sagada.

SOME major roads leading to the provinces of Cordillera have been closed due to the landslides, caused by continuous heavy downpour over the weekend. The Baguio-Bontoc, Sabangan detour road in Nacagang, Sabangan was closed since Saturday, May 27, after it was washed out making travel to Sagada and Bontoc difficult. The Junction Talubin to Barlig to Natonin to Paracelis to Calaccad Road was eroded due to structural damage ... ....

I must have been nine or 10 years old when our parents brought us first to Marawi. This was in the 1960s and we were likely on our way to Ozamis to visit my paternal grandmother. The Marawi trip was likely just a side trip. That first visit impressed me. Immediately, I noticed that this was a very different city ... Marawi is an Islamic city ... But Marawi is not just an Islamic city ... in Quiapo, Greenhills, Sagada, Rome, Dubai, Singapore ... Topics ... ....

LAST February, I had the opportunity to work with US-based blogger Meileilan Usin-Mattinson ( www.colorsofmei.com ) for her Philippine Tour 2017. During the 10-day tour, we visited Sagada, El Nido, and her hometown, Zamboanga City. We did not only visit Sagada for the first part of her tour but also the Batad Rice Terraces, one of the five clusters of the Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras, a Unesco Heritage Site ... ....
