Tancrède is a tragédie en musique (a French opera in the lyric tragedy tradition) in a prologue and five acts by composer André Campra and librettist Antoine Danchet, based on Gerusalemme liberata by Torquato Tasso.
The opera contains 23 dances in addition to the singing, but is famous for the alleged first contralto role in French opera (though in modern terms more of a mezzo-soprano range) written for Julie d'Aubigny, known as 'La Maupin', the most colorful singer of this era, or any other. It's also notable for the unusual choice of three low-lying voices for the main male parts.
Tancrède was first performed on 7 November 1702 by the Académie Royale de Musique at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal in Paris under the direction of Marin Marais. It was successful and remained in the repertoire until the 1760s.
Tancrède Melet (1983 – 5 January 2016) was a French tightrope walker.
Born in 1983 in Meurthe-et-Moselle, Melet grew up in Hérault before becoming an engineer. He practiced engineering as a profession for four years before leaving in 2008 to indulge in sports alongside Julien Millot. The duet began with the slackline and more particularly an elevated version of the highline. After a few years, Melet engaged in the performing arts. He was the co-creator of the group Flying Frenchies that combines artists, sportsmen and engineers.
On January 5, 2016, during the preparation of a show, he died as a result of a fall from a hot air balloon.
La Grande /ləˈɡrænd/ is a city in Union County, Oregon, United States. Originally named "Brownsville," it was forced to change its name because that name was already being used for a city in Linn County. Its current name comes from an early French settler, Charles Dause, who often used the phrase "La Grande" to describe the area's beauty. The population was 13,082 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Union County. La Grande lies east of the Blue Mountains and southeast of Pendleton.
The Grande Ronde Valley had long been a waypoint along the Oregon Trail. The first permanent settler in the La Grande area was Benjamin Brown in 1861. Not long after, the Leasey family and about twenty others settled there. The settlement was originally named after Ben Brown as Brown's Fort, Brown's Town, or Brownsville. There was already a Brownsville in Linn County, so when the post office was established in 1863, a more distinctive name was needed. It was decided to use "La Grande", a phrase used by a Frenchman, Charles Dause, to describe the area's scenic splendor. Before the post office was established, William Currey charged 50 cents a letter to carry the mail on horseback to and from the nearest post office, in Walla Walla, Washington. La Grande was incorporated as a city in 1865, and platted in 1868.

In August 2015, Tancrède Melet was the first man to jump with a wingsuit from the Pilier Central du Freney. The exit is located at alt. 4500m near the Mont-Blanc top which makes it one of the highest jump in Europe. It is a major and historical wingsuit jump filmed by Tancrède himself with its happy and funny style.

What a day, what a day, what a day, what a day
Life's great when graveyard is your home
What a day, what a day, what a day
Undead rotting bones
When we come to town
The people just keep their heads down
Trying to escape
Corpses all over the place
Maggots in my brain
Believe me, I don't feel no pain
Fingers are my tools
Bloodthirst is pretty cool
Soon you'll see, you run out of time
What a day, what a day, what a day, what a day
Life's great when graveyard is your home
What a day, what a day, what a day
Undead rotting bones
Neon nights are bright
Nobody of us saw daylight
Cannot lose our lites
No limits in the minds
Killin' just for fun
Tomorrow it will be your turn
Going straight to hell
Agony, I can tell
Soon you'll see, you run out of time
What a day, what a day, what a day, what a day
Life's great when graveyard is your home
What a day, what a day, what a day
Undead rotting bones
When we come to town
The people just keep their heads down
Trying to escape
Corpses all over the place
Maggots in my brain
Believe me, I don't feel no pain
Fingers are my tools
Bloodthirst is pretty cool
Soon you'll see, you run out of time
What a day, what a day, what a day, what a day
Life's great when graveyard is your home
What a day, what a day, what a day
