Eleanor Bron (born 14 March 1938) is an English stage, film and television actress and author.
Eleanor Bron was born in 1938 in Stanmore, Middlesex, into a Jewish family. Before her birth, her father Sidney had legally changed his name from Bronstein to Bron, in an effort to enhance his newly founded commercial enterprise, Bron's Orchestral Service.
She attended the North London Collegiate School and then Newnham College, Cambridge: she later characterized her time at Newnham as "three years of unparalleled pampering and privilege".
Bron was the partner of the architect Cedric Price for many years, until his death in 2003; they had no children. Her elder brother was the record producer Gerry Bron.
Bron began her career in the Cambridge Footlights revue of 1959, entitled The Last Laugh, in which Peter Cook also appeared. The addition of a female performer to the Footlights was a departure, as it had until that point been all-male, with female characters portrayed in drag.

Alfie movie clips: http://j.mp/1Je6l0l BUY THE MOVIE: http://amzn.to/wNjEDV Don't miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS: http://bit.ly/1u2y6pr CLIP DESCRIPTION: Alfie (Michael Caine) overreacts when he finds out from the doctor that he has an infection. FILM DESCRIPTION: Michael Caine's first starring role was a foray into dramatic irony, scripted by Bill Naughton from his novel and play. Alfie (Caine) is a charming, rogueish Cockney who cannot get his fill of women. He uses them without shame or malice, jumping from one promiscuous female's bed to another without much thought or feeling. Of course, Alfie's not as carefree as he would have the audience -- to whom he often speaks directly -- think: he treats his pregnant, common-law wife, Gilda (Julia Foster), quite shabbily, and has an affair wi...
John Cleese and Eleanor Bron discussing the TARDIS as an artwork; apparently they've encountered it sitting in an art museum (the Louvre iirc, it's in Paris and the Mona Lisa has been stolen, but I wasn't paying attention where they'd parked the TARDIS really). Anyway, the clip's already on youtube, but there was a bit cut off, and I think it was the funniest part. If you've ever been at an art opening or show and listened to people discussing art, this may amuse you. A masterpiece of functionlessness indeed. Hope this is within what can be used without worrying about copyright, 'fair use' or whatever. Thanks to Fenrir Lokeson for pointing out it's not actually episode 2 of season 17. It seems to be the 8th episode of the season as it is from the 4th and last part of the 2nd story of...

SIMONE WEIL (1909-1943) Great Lives, Series 22, Episode 5 of 9 With: Matthew Parris, Eleanor Bron BBC Radio 4 – Great Lives | 03.09.2010 – 11:00 p.m. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00tjb1h Simone Weil – mystic, social activist, and sort of latter day saint – is one of the more unexpected recent choices for Great Lives. She is remembered chiefly these days for her writings and the controversy over whether she starved herself to death, at the age of 34. But for Eleanor Bron she remains the supreme example of someone who lived her life according to her ideals. Born in 1909 in Paris, Simone Weil chose to work in factories, volunteered for the anarchist militia in the Spanish Civil War, and tried to persuade General de Gaulle in the Second World War to parachute nurses onto the frontline. ...

~ They say its a three hour TV movie - but did that include the ads, this is about two hours long, can you spot if I have missed a few chapters!! THE DAY CHRIST DIED IS DEPRESSING, REVOLTING AND SAD Anonymous reviewer writes: This is the most depressing film on Jesus Christ that I already viewed. Not only the most depressing, but I force (I don't eat Passion of the Christ of Mel Gibson, it is clear). Until today I don't understand which was the intention of the producing of do a film as this, different from all the other films on Christ done already. Here in this film Jesus (Chris Sarandon) it is just shown as human man, and no divine, that it is determined until the end in accomplishing his/her mission. It is also with physical lines (little accepted by most of the people) like...
