Twelve seconds. That's all it took for the Socceroos to be completely outplayed by Brazil. Twelve.
Australia had barely kicked off in its International friendly match against the South American visitors at the MCG on Tuesday before the ball was at the feet of midfielder Diego Souza and then in the back of the net.
Easy as you like.

A whole 12 seconds to expose our ridiculous 'only 3 back' formation... #ausvbra #socceroos @Socceroos

This match was never going to be easy. Anyone who knows anything about soccer knows that Brazil are as good as it gets -- They're currently the world leaders in International soccer, and boy have they shown it.
Tuesday's friendly was tipped to be the perfect warm-up opportunity for the Socceroos against world-class opposition ahead of the FIFA Confederations Cup next week.
Instead, the quick opening goal continued Australia's history of shaky performances against the South American giant following its 6-0 loss in 2013 and shown how Australia compete with the best in the game -- in that they can't.
Australia, there's No shame in loosing to team like Brazil. They're among the best. Treat this as a lesson not a match.#AUSvBRA #gosocceroos

Australia managed to survive the first half against Brazil without conceding another goal, however with Brazil coming off a loss to Argentina at the MCG on Friday night, the odds of more goals against the Socceroos looked very, very high.
And in the second half, those odds delivered with a Thiago Silva header, a Taison shot and a second Diego Souza goal all finding the back of the net to seal the match at 4-0 against Australia after an hour of Brazilian dominance.

The shocking start comes just days after its less-than-impressive victory over Saudi Arabia in its must-win World Cup qualifier on Thursday where it managed to stay in contention for a spot at the 2018 Russia World Cup -- but only just.
Pretty much as you'd expect from Brazil, disappointing night for the Socceroos. Couldn't settle defensively nor create enough going forward.
