Re-issue
Note: This Flood Watch provides early advice for possible future flooding along
all rivers, creeks and overland flow paths within a nominated valley [See note
below].

A low pressure system off the far southern Queensland coast is bringing
widespread showers with local heavy falls parts of the northern New South Wales
coast. The low is expected to deepen during Monday and Tuesday, and then weaken
later Wednesday.

This weather system has the potential to cause river flooding as well as local
flash flooding in the following river valleys from Monday afternoon onwards:

1. Tweed - minor to moderate flooding

2. Brunswick - renewed minor to moderate flooding

3. Richmond/Wilsons - renewed minor to moderate flooding

4. Coffs Coast - minor flooding

5. Orara - minor to moderate flooding

6. Bellinger and Kalang - minor to moderate flooding

7. Nambucca - minor to moderate flooding

Minor flood warnings are current for the Brunswick and Richmond/Wilsons River
Valleys. A severe weather warning is current for the Northern Rivers and parts
of the Mid North Coast Forecast Districts.

This Flood Watch means that people living or working along rivers and streams
must monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to
higher ground should flooding develop. Flood Warnings will be issued if Minor
Flood Level is expected to be exceeded at key sites along the main rivers for
which the Bureau of Meteorology provides a flood warning service. Across NSW,
about 70% of Flood Watches are followed by flooding.
