The 2nd live album released in 1976 by the Original Bad Boys From Boston. Part of the album was recorded at The Boston Garden in '75 and part of the album was recorded at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan (their 2nd hometown!). I honestly don't understand how anyone can listen to this album, as well as their previous Live Album: "Live" Full House, and not believe that this group should be in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame?! These guys may never have had a ton of mega "hits" in their career, but they always had solid songs. Even more so, their live concerts reached heights most other bands could only wish to attain. Come on R&R; Hall of Fame, get it together and finally induct this group along with The Cars, and even Boston into the Hall. If Nirvana can get in, J. Geils deserves to be in. Nirv...

Does she walk? Does she talk? Does she come complete? My homeroom homeroom angel Always pulled me from my seat She was pure like snowflakes No one could ever stain The memory of my angel Could never cause me pain Years go by I'm lookin' through a girly magazine And there's my homeroom angel on the pages in-between My blood runs cold My memory has just been sold My angel is the centerfold Angel is the centerfold My blood runs cold My memory has just been sold My angel is the centerfold Angel is the centerfold Slipped me notes under the desk While I was thinkin' about her dress I was shy I turned away Before she caught my eye I was shakin' in my shoes Whenever she flashed those baby-blues Something had a hold on me When angel passed close by Those soft and fuzzy sweaters Too magica...

J. Geils Band Live at Cobo Hall, Detroit, MI; November 3, 1974. Fairly to very good soundboard. Concertvault.com reported that the band delivered a superb and utterly infectious reading of “Give It To Me,” a song responsible for making Bloodshot their highest charting album to date. Here rhythm & blues, funky soul, and a tinge of reggae combined into a highly seductive blend that turned this hard working band into one of the hottest and most popular live acts in America. It would take 1981’s Centerfold to make the J Geils Band a household name. At their mid-’70s peak, these guys were known as the poor man’s Rolling Stones and for good reason. First, they played straight ahead rhythym and blues based Rock and Roll with fire, passion, and authority. Second, frontman and showman extrordin...
A rockin' hour with the J.Geils Band at a show we brought our cameras to - the mix seems to leave J. a little low - but otherwise this energy is the standard show level Peter and the Band put out every time . . .

If you say you're the ring finger on my stone
Well I say I'm a kite with a key
If you say that you are unsure of things
Well I'm not accepting defeat
Are we strong enough
Is it good enough
Am I brave enough
For the both of us
I will sing you songs
Even though you can't put 'em on your finger
I'll never be a diamond mine, I'm just a singer
I will sing you songs
Wishing my words carried on as long as a stone
On a band of gold
You're sleepwalking through the daylight
How else am I supposed to follow a dream
And now you say I can't wait on you to connect these hands
But I'm still trying to reach
So are we strong enough
Is it good enough
You pray hard enough
For the both of us
I will sing you songs
Even though you can't put 'em on your finger
I'll never be a diamond mine, I'm just a singer
I will sing you songs
Wishing my words carried on as long as a stone
On a band of gold
'Cause I'm just a rolling stone in a band on the road
I know words don't mean
Much on their own
But what I sing to you
Is worth more than a stone
I will sing you songs
Even though you can't put 'em on your finger
I'll never be a diamond mine, I'm just a singer
I will sing you songs
Wishing my words carried on as long as a stone
On a band of gold
'Cause I'm just a rolling stone in a band on the road
You said you want a stone
On a band of gold
What you got is a rolling stone
In a band on the road
Yeah I'm just a rolling stone in a band on the road
I haven't seen the sun in days
Man, it's getting to me
Well that's our industry
I lost my happy thoughts
Caught up in a tree
Flying's harder for me now
And kiss my ass you dream
I hope you're hearing me
No one's bet on you quite like I did
It's taken everything I've got
To keep myself on the road
I don't wanna drive no more
I am a stubborn bull
I am a caveman
A cheap tattoo
Gone from black to blue
So I don't wanna hear it from you
Never gonna be a spaceman
Sitting on my tin can
Never come back
I spend my afternoons
Making masterpieces
People would later understand
Well damn you wishing well
You should've told me
I bought dreams you wouldn't sell
It's taken everything I've god
To keep my hands from my face
I don't wanna cry no more
I found dangers in
Acting out
Dreams never meant
To be carried out
Oh, but I am the stubborn bull
Yeah, I am a caveman
A cheap tattoo
Fading from black to blue
So I don't wanna hear it from you
