Canada (i/ˈkænədə/; French: [ka.na.da]) is a country in the northern part of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98 million square kilometres (3.85 million square miles), making it the world's second-largest country by total area and the fourth-largest country by land area. Canada's border with the United States is the world's longest land border. Canada is sparsely populated, the majority of its land territory being dominated by forest and tundra and the Rocky Mountains; about four-fifths of the country's population of 35 million people live near the southern border. The majority of Canada has a cold or severely cold winter climate, but southerly areas are warm in summer.
The land now called Canada has been inhabited for millennia by various Aboriginal peoples. Beginning in the 15th century, British and French colonies were established on the Atlantic coast, with the first establishment of a region called "Canada" occurring in 1537. As a consequence of various conflicts, the United Kingdom gained and lost territories within British North America until left, in the late 18th century, with what mostly geographically comprises Canada today. Pursuant to the British North America Act, on July 1, 1867, the colonies of Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia joined to form the autonomous federal Dominion of Canada. This began an accretion of provinces and territories to the self-governing Dominion to the present ten provinces and three territories forming modern Canada. In 1931, Canada achieved near total independence from the United Kingdom with the Statute of Westminster 1931, and full sovereignty was attained when the Canada Act 1982 removed the last remaining ties of legal dependence on the British parliament.
World League may refer to:
The FIVB Volleyball World League is an international men's volleyball competition. Created in 1990, it is the longest and richest of all the international events organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The tournament is annual. The women's version of the competition is called FIVB World Grand Prix. This event should not be confused with the other international volleyball competitions, the World Championship, the World Cup and the World Grand Champions Cup.
The World League was created in 1990 as part of the intensive marketing programme that would become a distinctive mark of the FIVB's activities near the end of the century. The idea was to promote the sport of volleyball by establishing an annual competition that would appeal to audiences all over the world.
At that point, international competitions involving top volleyball teams (e.g., the Olympic Games, the World Championship) took place only in 4-year cycles, and were usually confined to a host city or nation. By contrast, the World League was designed to be played on a one-year basis, with a system of rotating cities that allowed every team to host a number of matches in the preliminary round. Further restrictions on participation, such as mandatory local broadcasting, ensured massive TV & media coverage.
The Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (English: International Volleyball Federation), commonly known by the acronym FIVB, is the international governing body for the sports of indoor, beach and grass volleyball. Its headquarters are located in Lausanne, Switzerland and its current president is Ary Graça.
The FIVB was founded in France in April 1947. In the late 1940s, some of the European national federations began to address the issue of creating an international governing body for the sport of volleyball. Initial discussions eventually lead to the installation of a Constitutive Congress in 1947. Fourteen national federations representing five different continents attended the meetings where, between April 18 and 20, the entity was officially formed, having Frenchman Paul Libaud as first president.
One of the main goals of the 1947 Congress was achieved two years later with the establishment of the first international major volleyball event, the World Championship. In 1952, a women's version of the tournament was also introduced.
Air Canada (TSX: AC) is the flag carrier and largest airline of Canada. The airline, founded in 1937, provides scheduled and charter air transport for passengers and cargo to 178 destinations worldwide. It is the world's tenth-largest passenger airline by fleet size, and is a founding member of the Star Alliance. Air Canada's corporate headquarters are located in Montreal, Quebec, while its largest hub is Toronto Pearson International Airport, located in Mississauga, Ontario. Air Canada had passenger revenues of CA$13.27 billion in 2014. The airline's regional service is Air Canada Express.
Canada's national airline originated from the Canadian federal government's 1936 creation of Trans-Canada Airlines (TCA), which began operating their first transcontinental flight routes in 1938. In 1965, TCA was renamed Air Canada following government approval. After the deregulation of the Canadian airline market in the 1980s, the airline was privatized in 1988. On 4 January 2000, Air Canada acquired their largest rival, Canadian Airlines. In 2003, the airline filed for bankruptcy protection and in the following year emerged and reorganized under the holding company ACE Aviation Holdings Inc. In 2006, 34 million people flew with Air Canada as the airline celebrated their 70th anniversary. Air Canada is recognized as the Skytrax Best International Airline in North America, and was ranked as a 4 Star Airline by Skytrax in 2013. It is also one of Canada's best managed companies.

Forest fires were fought with guts and courage, not chemicals and airplanes. Bill Bell was the toughest ranger in an elite crew of very rugged men. Josh Sigurdson sits down with author and economic analyst John Sneisen to talk about the catastrophic rise in private debt to GDP in Canada as Canada moves from 10th place to 6th place world wide in debt accumulation. Private Debt to GDP in Canada averaged 210.45 percent from 1995 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 266.89 percent in 2016 according to Trading Economics. With alarming market manipulation, derivatives markets, fiat currency printing and government spending, there's no doubt that Canada's on a collision course. The question is, when? Well the fact is, fundamentals are off the table so an exact date can't be placed on it. The markets and monetary system is being rigged to such an extent that the crash is const...

Order un cafe, stroll the cobblestone streets of the Old City and soak up the history and architecture of the area. Some of the buildings here date back to the 17th century, making it one of the...
Toronto is Canada's largest and North America's fourth-largest city. Its multi-cultural population is spread out over the Megacity, but neighborhoods such as China Town, Greektown and Little Italy retain some of their original character. A typical "Hogtown" treat is the Peameal sandwich, available at the Saint Lawrence Market in the Old Town. The city's landmark CN Tower stands in stark contrast to another local icon: The castle-like Casa Loma. Some other famous architectural feats are the Royal Ontario Museum and the Gehry-designed Art Gallery of Ontario. Kensington Markets is an art-loving, 70s-inspired neighborhood full of shops. Upscale fashion stores surround Dundas Square, the downtown end of Yonge Street. During colder months, the city's huge underground mall, the PATH, offers hou...

The highlight of the journey was an ascent up to Allenby Pass at nearly 8100 feet. I never thought I'd be riding a horse up the side of a mountain and the memory will last a lifetime. Josh Sigurdson sits down with author and economic analyst John Sneisen to talk about the catastrophic rise in private debt to GDP in Canada as Canada moves from 10th place to 6th place world wide in debt accumulation. Canada has also reached first place out of G20 countries.

I was commissioned by SpaFax and AirCanada to do two small promotional video to showcase in their airplanes. This year is their 75th birthday, so I was ask to show case air hostess costume over their life and also another spot to showcase the planes. That was the only brief I got, so I produced and directed these videos. Again with the in camera trick effects and a lot of object building, I came up with this all reel made installation. Definitely the funnest part was the big modular numbers and the frame reveal system for the mannequin. The air hostess, was shot separately from the rest, then all the numbers where in the same shoot, activate by ropes and pulls and wind. The air plane spot was all shot year per year and then matched together. See the plane video here : https://vimeo.com/474...

Les yeux fix?s au sud des grandes terres
Face ? l'oc?an
Angelina suit le vol d'un go?land
Sans me regarder
Elle me dit tu devras leur r?p?ter
Tous mes souvenirs
Sans me regarder
Elle dit on m'attend de l'autre c?t?
Un pas en avant
