ACT police searching for Coombs credit card thief

A Canberra burglar driving a silver car without a windscreen has used a stolen credit card at a Calwell service station.

Police said the man, along with another, burgled a Coombs home at 3:00am on Tuesday, May 23 and stole a number of items, including a credit card.

He used the card for a number of transactions including one at the Caltex in Callwell, where he arrived with a number of other people in the beat-up Daewoo Cielo.

The man was described as Caucasian, of medium build and about 175cm or 5'9". He was wearing a grey hooded jumper, maroon baseball cap, white sneakers and a black satchel.

Police urged anyone who could identify the man or who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the ACT Crime Stoppers website.
