Nya Quesada

Armonía "Nya" Quesada (13 April 1919 – 6 December 2013) was an Argentine actress, whose career spanned nearly five decades.

Nya Quesada died of natural causes on 6 December 2013, aged 94, in Buenos Aires.

Quesada is a Spanish name originating from the region of Jaén, Andalucia. It was originally the surname of the nobility from the town of Quesada. It is also briefly mentioned in the tale of Don Quixote as a possible alternate surname for the title character.

This surname was first recorded during the 1240s AD, in a manuscript about Ferdinand III of Castile's army recapturing Seville.

Ciudad Quesada (Spanish pronunciation: [keˈsaða]) is a capital of the district of Quesada in the canton of San Carlos in the province of Alajuela in Costa Rica. Although Quesada is the official name (formerly La Unión), it is commonly called San Carlos (like the canton) so as to generalize the whole area. Nevertheless, Quesada is the most populated city of the canton of San Carlos.

The city is the region's economic and political center. This is especially true with regards to economic agriculture and dairy activity. Quesada and adjacent areas produces 65% of all the milk that the nation of Costa Rica utilizes.

Geography

Ciudad Quesada lies at an elevation of 656 meters above sea level at the foot of the Cordillera Central (Central Mountain Range) on the southern edge of the San Carlos Plain (Llanura de San Carlos), an expansive lowland that forms a major part of the Caribbean slope in northern Costa Rica. It is 79 km. north-west of the provincial capital city of Alajuela and 90.9 km. from the national capital city of San José.

Quesada is a town located in the province of Jaén, southern Spain. La Cañada de las Fuentes, which is in the same municipality, is the headwaters of Guadalquivir.

The Tíscar castle is in a ruined state, but nearby is the Cueva del Agua, a cave where there is an impressive waterfall and where it is said that the Virgin Mary of Tíscar appeared.

The area's economy is agriculture-based, primarily on olives. There is an annual summer festival from August 23 until August 28.
