Warwick (/ˈwɒrɪk/ WORR-ik) is the county town of Warwickshire, England. The town lies upon the River Avon, 11 miles (18 km) south of Coventry and just west of Leamington Spa and Whitnash with which it is conjoined. At the 2011 United Kingdom census, it had a population of 30,114, an increase from 23,350 a decade earlier.
There was human activity at Warwick as early as the Neolithic period, and constant habitation since the 6th century. It was a Saxon burh in the 9th century; Warwick Castle was established in 1068 as part of the Norman conquest of England. Warwick School claims to be the oldest boys' school in the country. The earldom of Warwick was created in 1088 and the earls controlled the town in the medieval period and built town walls, of which Eastgate and Westgate survive. The castle developed into a stone fortress and then a country house and is today a popular tourist attraction.
The Great Fire of Warwick in 1694 destroyed much of the medieval town and as a result most buildings post-date this period. Though Warwick did not become industrialised in the 19th century, it has experienced growth since 1801 when the population was 5,592. Racing Club Warwick F.C., founded in 1919, is based in the town. The town is administered by Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council has its headquarters in Warwick.
The University of Warwick Boat Club is the rowing club of the University of Warwick. The men's team is colloquailly known as the Warwick Rowers. The club was founded in 1966 and currently has over a hundred members. It rows out of a boathouse on a 3.5 km stretch of the River Avon, Warwickshire. It caters for all levels of rowers from novices to experienced oarsman, and boasts previous members such as Oxford University Boat Club member and Boat Race winner, Ben Ellison and Olympian Tom Solesbury.
The club's facilities include sixteen Concept2 ergos and a Concept2 dynamic ergo, kept in the on-campus sports centre. The club's men's 1st VIII currently rows in a 2008 wing-rigged Empacher and the women's 1st VIII currently rows in a 2011 Janousek. The club owns three further eights, three fours and numerous small boats.
The club trains out of a recently rebuilt boathouse on a 3.5 km stretch of the River Avon south of Warwick Castle.

Hi everyone! My name is Rhiannon Yee, and I'm the Programme Intern at the London Study Centre for UCEAP UK English Universities programmes. This fall term, I got the chance to travel to the University of Warwick to make videos about the campus, as well as the UCEAP students who were studying there at the time. These videos are meant to give prospective students a bit of insight into the host universities they are looking into studying abroad at, so hopefully these videos give you a glimpse of what it's like to be at Warwick! Warwick is a beautiful university, and this video is a short tour of various different locations around campus. Stay tuned for more videos about my day at the University of Warwick, including interviews with students and videos of their day to day lives on campus! ...

Twelfth of the fourteen first round matches 2015/16 series First aired 28 September 15 Sorry if any Ads appear it's due to Copyrighted content playing in the music round . No coin coming my way :(
It's been a while since I've had a chance to watch the broadcast, so I actually have seen what I'm uploading. Anyway, our match today is between teams with one loss, Bristol and Warwick, looking for chance to fight another day. You know my favourite and it looks like they're (somewhat) on better form today, although they should've known better on some questions (Somehow I've seen the Richard VIII fact at least 3 times on BBC in the last month). Still, a nail-biting finish despite of the low overall score. I blame that darn long music round (Better than opera, but 2 songs too much!). Original air date 20.2.2017

Research in this area is interdisciplinary, bringing together advances in applied probability,...
World renowned artist Stelarc recently returned to the University of Warwick, 16 years after appearing at Virtual Futures 1995. In his talk he discusses his experiences past, present and future including his current 'Ear On Arm' project. What is Stelarc's motivation? How does he deal with pain? What does he intend to do next?
Well, well, well, it's really sad to see either team going home, but someone has to, so there you go. For you expecting some steamrolling from Wolfson, it'll be a bit of a surprise. Somehow, Warwick's captain finally found back his mojo (I know he can do it!). If only this was true in the last game.... Anyway, Sophie Hobbs is gone, for you who'll miss the Brummies accent. Mark Philp delivered a lecture titled "The corruption of politics". This lecture makes the case for identifying corruption in relation to standards internal to politics and links disputes about the definition and analysis of corruption to recent work on realism in political theory.
