Carlton leaders Marc Murphy and Bryce Gibbs are both facing scans early in the week to determine their availability to face Sydney at the MCG on Saturday.
Skipper Murphy was clearly subdued against Port Adelaide on Friday night and will be assessed for a meniscus issue in his knee, while Gibbs' thumb will be looked at after he hurt it in the 90-point loss at Adelaide Oval. The Blues say they are hopeful neither issue is overly serious, with scans likely to take place on Monday.
After an excellent start to the year, Murphy was below his best against the Power. While he had 25 disposals his impact was limited, and he failed to lay a single tackle.

Port have thumped a hapless Carlton in Adelaide, 20.17.137 to 6.11.47.
Gibbs was among his side's best players in the massive defeat, playing out the game despite experiencing some discomfort after appearing to get his thumb stuck in his jumper.
The Blues' defeat was their heaviest under second-year coach Brendon Bolton. Carlton fielded a side with seven teenagers after experienced duo Matthew Kreuzer and Dale Thomas both missed the game through soreness.
