Police charge man with attempted murder after altercation at Perth restaurant

Detectives have charged a man with attempted murder after an altercation with another man at a Perth restaurant last week.

Police will allege sometime between 7pm and 9:30pm on June 9, a physical altercation took place between two men who are known to each other at a restaurant on Cumberland Way Bassendean.

The man will face court today.

The 39-year-old victim of Queens Park received several puncture wounds, resulting in life threatening injuries.

He is currently in Royal Perth Hospital.

On Tuesday, Midland Detectives arrested a 29-year-old man from Queens Park and charged him with attempted murder.

He is due to face the Midland Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
