Lou Perez

Lou Perez is an American professional wrestler who has competed in North American promotions including the National Wrestling Alliance and World Championship Wrestling during the late 1980s and early 1990s as well as the Puerto Rican-based promotion IWA Puerto Rico.

Although billed as the younger brother of Al Perez, Lou Perez is actually his cousin.

Career

Trained by Boris Malenko, Perez began wrestling in Championship Wrestling from Florida in late 1988 facing Scotty the Body and later teamed with Rex King and Austin in a 6-man tag team match against Scotty the Body, Bob Cook and Jim Backlund. Briefly appearing in the Pro Wrestling Federation the following year, Perez feuded with PWF Junior Heavyweight Champion Jim Backlund facing him on March 11, 1989.

Perez became a mainstay in the area within several years and later teamed with Mark Starr to defeat Jumbo Baretta & Dennis Knight for the NWA Florida Tag Team Championship in Tampa, Florida on November 12, 1989. He also had a short stint in World Championship Wrestling, defeating Mike Thor in his debut match in 1990.

Closing the gap

Closing the gap is a term used in Australian society, referring to the inequalities in Aboriginal culture that creates a gap between Indigenous and non Indigenous Australians. The average age of death of an Aboriginal male is 11.5 and woman 9.5 years less than the average white Australian, this is a major example that there is a gap that needs to be closed in our society to get rid of Aboriginal inequalities. The main cause of this is lack of knowledge in health education and lack of funding going towards proper health systems being installed into rural communities where aboriginals are living.

Health

With such a difference in life expectancy between Indigenous and non Indigenous Australians shows that there is a massive issue of lack of health system, Aboriginals living in their rural communities do not have access to hospitals or medical help unless having to travel long distances to get there, this cost Aboriginals in need money that they do not have which leaves them avoiding the health system all together. Without medical help on hand people will be left without any knowledge of what is wrong and will not be taught anything that the doctors can share with them. The lack of health services is definitely contributing to the life expectancy gap, as Australians living in cities have 24 hour access to doctors and nurses allowing them to constantly monitor their health which makes them live a healthier lifestyle which leads to living longer.

Marines

Marines, also known as a marine corps and naval infantry, are an infantry force that specializes in the support of naval and army operations on land and at sea, as well as the execution of their own operations. In the majority of countries, the marine force is part of the navy, but it can also be under the army like the Troupes de marine (French Marines) and Givati Brigade (Israeli Marines), or form an independent armed service branch like the United States Marine Corps and Royal Marines.

Historically, tasks undertaken by marines have included providing protection from war while at sea, reflecting the pressed nature of the ships' company and the risk of mutiny. Other tasks would include boarding of vessels during combat or capture of prize ships and providing manpower for raiding ashore in support of the naval objectives.

With the industrialization of warfare in the 20th century the scale of landing operations increased; this brought with it an increased likelihood of opposition and a need for co-ordination of various military elements. Marine forces evolved to specialize in the skills and capabilities required for amphibious warfare.

Petroleum

Petroleum (L. petroleum, from early 15c. "petroleum, rock oil" (mid-14c. in Anglo-French), from Medieval Latin petroleum, from Latin: petra: "rock" + oleum: "oil".) is a naturally occurring, yellow-to-black liquid found in geological formations beneath the Earth's surface, which is commonly refined into various types of fuels.

It consists of hydrocarbons of various molecular weights and other organic compounds. The name petroleum covers both naturally occurring unprocessed crude oil and petroleum products that are made up of refined crude oil. A fossil fuel, petroleum is formed when large quantities of dead organisms, usually zooplankton and algae, are buried underneath sedimentary rock and subjected to intense heat and pressure.

Petroleum is recovered mostly through oil drilling (natural petroleum springs are rare). This comes after the studies of structural geology (at the reservoir scale), sedimentary basin analysis, reservoir characterization (mainly in terms of the porosity and permeability of geologic reservoir structures). It is refined and separated, most easily by distillation, into a large number of consumer products, from gasoline (petrol) and kerosene to asphalt and chemical reagents used to make plastics and pharmaceuticals. Petroleum is used in manufacturing a wide variety of materials, and it is estimated that the world consumes about 90 million barrels each day.
